So, my pup is 6 months and 2 weeks. He's a yellow lab. He had an infection in his foot (We took him up to the lake house with us, we knew something was up, but didn't think it was a cut, and his new girlfriend and the beach and all probably didn't help it), and he just got neutered today. He had to get a cone, and now he's whining and bumping into everything, trying to get the cone off, but it's like staying unless he's eating or something. I don't want him to get hurt bumping into anything too hard since he runs around like a lunatic early in the morning. Anything I can do? He needs it on for a week.

if he leaves his stitches alone, and his foot alone, he should be ok without it while you are around to watch him, but I would put it back on if sleeping, or gone.
Yeah, he's been licking at the paw for about a week. And I'm with him pretty much all the time (he's attached by the hip. Proven theory after the lake house trip.) I think I'll have to keep it on him unfortunately, but he'll be sleeping in the recliner I think till he has to take it off. With a cat and two people in our bed, it's already hard to have him, let alone with that.
