Sounds, smells, new surroundings and uncharted areas, atleast for the pale lioness whom had wandered a bit far and ended up where she expected she probably shouldn't have.
The sounds, of moving leaving, possibly heavy paws steps; the smells of other animals, lions, and more alike. Zuri, whom had not truly wandered around before, was certainly quite fearful. She had not once met a lion or other species she didn't like and she thought of herself as a confident individual, but the 'unknown' always got to her. The idea of not knowing what lay waiting around the next corner absolutely scared her.
With this in mind she stopped mid stride, and leaned on a well place tree trunk. The warmth from the sun must have been getting to her, because she thought she could smell a border. Or had she truly gotten this close to a pride, unsure, she stayed very still and took in a slow breath, gaining a paw hold on the situation. Quietly she hoped she hadn't gotten as close as she had and would be able to slip away, but then.. there was a prodding voice in her mind. This voice urged her to stay, see what happened. It was indeed her curiosity finally standing up for herself.
So there she stood, stuck between paranoia and curiosity.

He wasn't sure why he had traveled out as far as he had. Usually it meant trouble, as it wasn't often that a rogue got along with him very well. Jakk could be infuriating, but that was one of his charms. He was swaying, the remnants of some of the fermented fruit he had devoured on his maw. He had enjoyed eating the fermented mango.. It had given him a bit of a rush. Though now he was finding he was stumbling a bit more than he would have liked.
He was humming to himself. His voice not too deep, but with a slight rasp to it. It was breathy, and .. all his. Though the scent that hit his nose, stopped his humming as he perked. There was someone around, and a rogue no less. From the scent, they were female, and that was just fine with Jakk. He did better in female company anyway. At least.. one female at a time he was better in their company. Otherwise they started putting two and two together.

When she spoke, his ears perked and he grinned. Well at least he knew where she was. That put him on edge. She hadn't made it to the beaches yet, and that gave him the advantage. She wouldn't navigate the border as well as he could.
Pushing a few branches of a bush out of the way, he snuck through it and poked his head out of the other side. He saw her first, and she was a lovely little thing. He had always had a soft spot for a pretty face. Though he wasn't as charming as he liked to think he was.
" 'Ello, love." He said, his voice still youthful, though growing more mature as he aged. He was almost full grown, but he still had just a little growing to do.
He stretched out his body, trying to give the feeling that he was laid back. He was, but he wanted others to actually see it.

Her imagination had not deceived her this time. The shock that streamlined and coursed through her body was probably unimaginable in itself. The sight and sudden voice was what simply got to her. How had he been able to sneak up on her like that! -- The thought processed and she remembered, that although she did not know the area, others would, certainly this individual did anyhow.
When Zuri's mind cleared from her own little world of ideas she finally focused on the sound of his voice, before she truly saw him she knew he was not full grown. Something about the pitch told her this and upon sight she saw it. He was nearly grown, but not quite there. Perhaps that awkward halfway there, but not quite moment in life.
That aside she decided it would probably be polite to speak. "Oh, hello?" Her pitch, without question, was question within itself. Love? She admired how bold he was able to be, but she was certainly not his love.
BUT, on a more positive note, he had stretched and made it clear he was relaxed, maybe it could be a good sign of a great conversation. "Where am I?" Or maybe it would simply be enlightening if anything.
She gave a weak smile.

He grinned when he had surprised her. If she hadn't been a female, and a pretty one at that, he likely would have let her continue on her way. He was more interested in going and finding the fruit's keeper. She usually had lots of choices when it came to the fruit. He was feeling the idea of a mango, currently.. But he couldn't think of getting intoxicated, for the minute anyway. He had someone here, and her company was quite desired.
She responded almost like a princess. Her voice feminine, surprised, and with that touch of genuine to it. He hadn't met any princesses, but he figured if he did, he would expect them to act that way.
"Where are you? Why.. A dangerous place, dark and demanding." He said, his eyes narrowing and his voice deepened as the sentence went on. He was silent for a moment before he shrugged and smiled.
"You are approaching Maestros Del Mar, little dove. A rather uninspiring, yet pleasurable place to be." He loved his pride, really he did. But he was an a** on his best days.

Well hit it certainly had!
The smile he bore twisted into something devious and she nearly chuckled, her nerves were returning, but she enjoyed being fearless far more than she thought she would. This would be a trial run of brave Zuri.
Her name, well she supposed this was only fair, his pride, his territory and his claws were probably sharp. "Zuri... Zuri`zola." Now did she have rights to his name? She would certainly test her luck. "What of your name?" She asks, quickly before he continues.
The word that slips his mouth, so smoothly, was something that sounded similar to 'okay?' and so she took it that way.
"Uhm... saavy." She repeats it, hoping that she has caught onto their speech a little bit. Her mind had already considered one primary thing, could this be a new home? Zuri was not completely ready to accept the idea, but found her brain playing with it a little.
"Can we see the water first?"

He grinned and stretched out his paws, his claws digging into the sand until he righted himself and chuckled. He liked her. She was pretty, in a dainty, feminine sort of way. He normally found himself entranced with the corsairs that entertained him. But sometimes, there was more to be desired than the random corsair. Some of them spurned his advances too, not his most proud moments!
"Aye, frightening, and then some. Follow me, love. I will show you the way." He motioned for her to follow, and began leading her towards the ocean. She wanted tos ee it, well he would show it to her.. And then maybe a few other things....
