[PRP] Natopayiw & Moth (Mmoto'bolo)

The young lioness stretched slowly as she awoke, her little toes spreading as her paws stretched as far ahead of her as they could. Her bright violet eyes opened and she blinked for a moment. Natopayiw looked around, but she was having a hard time determining exactly where she'd landed herself. Taking after her father, the tiny lioness had taken it upon herself to become an adventurer too, and thus she had landed herself in this situation. The small mostly gray female pulled herself to her paws and yawned, little tail straightening out behind her as she fell prey to another stretch.

Well, Natopayiw knew she was still in her pride's lands. She wouldn't dare leave them, not at this age. Mother or father would have to be with her, and as she didn't know where they were right now, and she was beginning to hunger, the feisty little female set that as her main goal. Again, her bright eyes gazed about. She lifted her little muzzle to the air to sniff for the scent of her parents, or any of her siblings. She caught the slight scent of one of her brothers and turned to pad off in that direction. Natopayiw felt safe here, and she knew she wouldn't be too far from home base, so she didn't worry as she wandered along a path littered with large, browning leaves.

The tiny lioness glanced all about, taking in her surroundings. She would remember having to go this way. The young female figured as long as you knew where you'd been, you could always know where you were going, and she planned to learn her homelands well.

Mmoto'bolo had fallen into a heap on a patch of sandy grass and had stayed there for an indeterminate amount of time. And when he finally woke up, he regretted the moment immediately. His mouth felt dry and his head pounded with the after-effects of yesterday's fermented fruit. On top of that, he had woken from a particularly nice dream about one of the lovely young corsairs...

Eventually the brightly coloured lion urged himself to back onto his paws with a groan. Well, the only remedy for his aliments, as far as he was concerned, was more of the same. He grinned to himself and started his way back to where he knew the corsairs of the pride would usually be found.

Then, he heard the sound of movement. With his current state, any little sound was a bit grating, but he met the sound with curiosity. Who else could be around? Maybe it was that pretty little female...

He kept going towards the sound, looking left and right, then finally... down. Oh. He had spotted a female all right, but she was a little too young for his tastes. He wrinkled his nose a little and meant to disappear the other way, but for some reason he stayed rooted to the spot, and watched the cub. She didn't seem lost, but if she approached him... well, he might as well help her out.

The tiny lioness had been just padding along, when there appeared a set of very brightly colored paws before her. This was a much larger lion than herself, of course- he was a full grown male. She faltered for a moment, and then regained her composure and puffed out her little chest, gazing up at him through half-narrowed eyes. He reeked of some rotten scent she hadn't smelt before, and he was covered in sand and dried leaf crumbs. She tried her hardest to keep a straight, scrutinizing face and not to giggle at him, but he seemed so...rumpled. Maybe he was lost. As far as she was concerned, Natopayiw was not lost.

She flicked her tail, the tuft of it brushing leaves away along the ground. "G'day, sir." She spoke politely, as mother had taught her was right. "Excuse me, are you lost out here?" She inquired, lifting a brow at him and reclining to her haunches, her vivid purple eyes examining him, though she was no longer attempting to feign scrutiny. Natopayiw wiggled her toes in the dirt for a moment as she watched him, her tail flicking of it's own accord behind her. She hadn't particularly considered the fact that there was the possibility that this older lion could hurt her, or take her away, or even kill her. Her throat tightened a little and she gulped as the thought crossed her mind. '...Don't worry...' the tiny bright-marked lioness assured herself.

Mmoto'bolo couldn't help but grin at the little female. She seems so confident for her age with the way she carried herself, and she had the guts to ask him if he was the one who was lost! He let out a barking laugh, then winced immediately as the sound tore through his skull.

"Ugh.... no I am not lost. Adults never get lost," he said indignantly, putting a paw up to his face and rubbing his eyes. He swayed a little on his feet, but he didn't really notice. "Cubs shouldn't ask those kinds of questions." Well, that's what Moth thought in the moment, anyways. Were cubs always like this one? If so, he wouldn't want to meet a big group of them at once. Especially in his current condition.

"Shouldn't you be with your mother?" Moth asked a moment later, peering at her with bleary eyes. He lowered his head to her level, staring at her closely. Nope, didn't look like the offspring of any lioness he knew. And she didn't look a bit like him either, thank the gods.

The tiny lioness giggled as he contemplated her, and listened as he spoke. She didn't know what was wrong with him, he seemed to be in pain or something.

"Well, if you're not lost, then where's your home?" She asked, smirking mischievously and lifting a brow again. Natopayiw was good at teasing her siblings like this when she tried, and maybe it would work on this big lion. He didn't seem too smart anyways...of course she was probably wrong and he obviously knew way more than she did, but she was a bit of a saucy cub.

"Shouldn't you be with yoooouuuuur mother?" She taunted, giggling and flicking her tail. "I'm allowed out here, I know my way around." The bold little lioness puffed her chest and stood before the large male. "And besides, if anything happened my father would have something to say about it. And he's even bigger than you, so..." She trailed off, taking a step back and watching him carefully. The tiny lioness had no intention of actually angering him, and he seemed like the type that could take the teasing. She just wasn't a little lady, and she preferred to interact by teasing and joking like she had heard her father do.
