The 3DS XL, revealed last night on Nintendo Direct... Can't say I didn't see it comin' razz
Pros:
-(Slightly) longer battery life
- Bigger screen, increasing immersion

Cons:
- No 2nd Circle Pad or extra shoulder buttons, still necessitating the Circle Pad Pro(XL?) for games like RE: Revelations and MGS3D: Snake Eater(at least, for the people that can't really get a feel for those games w/o the Circle Pad Pro)
- It's more of a resize than a revision

No thanks Nintendo, but I think I'll just stick to my current 3DS model.

UPDATE 6/27/2012:
*facepalm* Wow.....

I didn't have any trouble playing revelations with just one circle pad, I don't know about MGS3D.

So far I can't think of any game that requires it. That's the thing about peripherals, really.

I wouldn't call it being a resize and not a revision a con, since, you know, I'd be rather bothered if my year old DS was already obsolete.

I was considering getting this on the fact that it had a better battery life until I saw that it only ups it from half an hour to an hour and a half. That's not enough of a jump and not having a second circle pad is the big dealbreaker. I still kind of want it just for a slight battery boost and a bigger screen, but unless they make a (god forbid) Circle Pad Pro XL, I will simply not be able to play Kid Icarus Uprising.

GG Nintendo.

They should probably make the screens larger to begin with instead of releasing an XL version.

Isn't the 3DS XL for old people? If I remember correctly, I think I've seen posters and other types of advertisement with old people playing the DSi XL, so I assume this 3DS XL was made for the same reason? *shrugs* neutral

Yeah I would feel like a handicapped person playing that. Also it looks so big! The 3DS is already too big for my pockets.

Okay, the screens are still smaller than the Vita's, so I wouldn't exactly feel handicapped, and I guess you can't complain about big screens, but I do like portable things to be small and convenient at the same time...

my point of view is, would you rather look at a window? or feel more, immersed? for a comp would you rather have a 16" widescreen or a 24"?
