[PRP] Spreading her wings (Robyn + Ghost)

It was dark and tight. What had been a comfortable and cozy place was now uncomfortable! Robyn frowned, trying to wiggled and get comfortable once more. Instead, she heard a cracking sound, which caused her to jump, which in turn caused more cracking.

The young girl turned to try and see where the cracking noise was coming from and the egg broke open, spilling the young bird native out instead. Robyn blinked at the light, raising an arm to shield her eyes as they adjusted. Where was she? This was a new place than where she'd previously been.

Slowly, her eyes adjusted to the light and she lowered her arm to look around. There was a piece of shell near her and she picked it up, running a finger along the inside and outside both.

Ghost had been wondering about the strange eggs that he had found on the mountain ever since the day that he had picked them up. He hadn't done so normally, but he had felt a strange pull towards them, as if someone or something had told him to take them. A bit like Mothers voice, yet different.

As it was, there were two strange, unknown eggs residing in the growth chambers that would normally house and raise genome seeds, and he was keeping a close eye on them, wondering what to make of them.

And then one day shortly after, when the first one hatched, he would have to lie if he'd said he wasn't surprised.

Expecting some sort of animal, a big one from the size of the egg, he was disappointed. Staring at what he had first thought to be some kind of bird - well maybe it was, being half covered in blue feathers - he tried to find his voice while the child that had emerged from the blue egg was looking around it's surroundings in confusion and wonder.

The young girl's gaze eventually moved from the shell fragment in her hands to the floor from which she'd picked it up. And then, slowly, she looked outward and onward. She found strange things that made odd noises. And another egg, though a different color than the shell she still held and played with as her eyes traveled the room.

Her gaze continued on until her eyes found a pair of feet. They slowly traveled up the legs, then torso, and finally to the face of the owner.

Blue eyes opened wide in surprise. She blinked a few times, tilting her head from side to side as she gaze at this form. Finally, she opened her mouth and spoke one word. "Momma?" That one word held a multitude of emotions, hope and wonder being among the strongest.

Ghost had kept staring at her while she had gazed around the room and finally fixed her eyes on his face in wonder, and he nearly choked at her inquiry, declaring or rather asking him if he was her mother. Certainly not.

"Uh .." he thought about his answer for a moment, guessing that his words would be crucial, before forcing a smile to his face. "something like that, I guess."

Dropping to his knees in front of the small child, he was wondering if she could even understand him, as she wasn't a genome. In fact, he had no idea WHAT she was, exactly.
Some sort of native humanoid race that inhabited this planet? Maybe he would find out, somehow.
"My name's Ghost. Can you understand what I'm saying?"

Robyn waited, almost with bated breath, as Ghost stumbled about for a way to answer. Her own face lit up with a smile as he replied. Her smile faltered for a moment as the man knelt, but it soon bounced back. As Ghost continued to talk for a moment, she sat and watched, listening. His answer was another grin and a nod. "Momma Ghost!"

The girl got to her feet and looked at Ghost for a moment before running forward and giving the man a hug.

Laughing sligtly, he patted her feathered head. Where ever this child came from, this native race was obviously quite intelligent. He would find out to just what extend, later.
"Ghost would suffice." He told her with a smile. "'Momma's not really a fitting term."
Looking the girl over once again, he wondered what they should call her. She was a child that would live with them, at least for now until she would be old enough to decide for herself, so she needed a name.
Glancing at the broken eggshells behind her, he remembered the image of a small bird whose eggs had the same blue color. That would make a nice name, at least in his opinion.
"Now let's see what to call you, little one. How about Robyn? Would you like that?"

The girl pondered over that. Just Ghost? But... she frowned just slightly at that. But then Momma Ghost was talking again. Talking about... a name! Her name? The girl blinked, pointing to her chest. "Robyn? .. Roooobbbyyyn~" She tried it out, grinning. "Robyn! I Robyn!"

Momma Ghost had given her a name! A wonderful name! She gave him another hug, happy to have such a good name.

Ghost shook his head, but couldn't help it that he kept smiling as he picked the small child up as he rose from the floor.
"All right, call me that for now." He told her, heading for the door. "Let's get you outside for now and figure out were you came from, how about that?"

Robyn's face lit up once again as Ghost gave in. Yay! She threw her arms about his neck, hugging him as he picked her up. "Outside...?" She pondered on that for a second. Well, if Momma Ghost was there.... "Okay," she gave in.
