"Good," she said, though a lot of the right was already out of her. She worried about what he thought, what he was thinking about her request. She wouldn't press the issue again for a little bit. Let things happen, see how it went. Perhaps he just wanted to reconnect with her, and she would be happy to let that happen.
With a sigh, she rested her head against his side, happy that he was finally back.
