Brothers of Soul Vs. Envoys of Death [Tor/Shar vs. King/Kai]

The strangest thing happens as the Guardinals watch Kai fade into the shadows. Two more step forth from the Gates open already and then the three that have not yet opened a Gate open a Gate themselves. From these three new Gates three new Guardinals step forth, creating a total of seven of this celestial avatars of all that is good and drawn from the light. Each one contributed a small portion of their power to a single spell, joining in a ritual casting to bring forth seven pillars of flame that fell from the sky. Each would pierce down into the darkness burning with the full force of the flames of Elysium. While they held no heat, they burned all evil and darkness in their path, dispelling it and pushing it back to the best of their, as yet, meager efforts.

The Brothers of Soul, meanwhile, began focusing upon their weapons, pouring their strength into the massive blade and chain. Even as they focused streams of mana began to gather around Tor as a new spell began to weave in and around him.

Kai smirked inwardly as flames very similiar if not the same as those cast upon his brother and the juggernaut before. King had broken them down and now it was only a matter of conversion on a deeper level. As the flames peirced the darkness it would part and let it touch the ground, seemingly obediently dispersing. But to probably their shock and amazement, the pillars of light would blacken, darkness would travel as fast as light up all seven pillars and move to consume their castors. The very quintessence of evil and darkness prevalent within the darkness, its main goal the exact opposite of the light, to destroy all things good and light. Should the darkness touch them it would begin to convert their bodies, their very essence would become dark and evil before it consumed them and convertered their bodies to usable energy.

As this took place the darkness pool had spread outwards encompassing the entire battlefield grounds. It would now explode upwards, to them it would seem as though a thick black platform was racing up at them from the ground. It would absorb light, heat, and matter from every inch of the area it covered, this place would be the beginning of the shadow plane's visit to the prime material. He would leave the brothers of soul alone for now. While he found it rather pathetic that they were bringing more people to a battle in which they already outnumbered their enemy, he'd deal with them soon enough. The sky blackened and darky thick cloud of the shadow sky was prevalent. Just a bit more time, and this world would taste the full power of Darkness.

Even as the shadows started to consume the light the connection was severed. Five more stepped from the Gates and then five more again from newly created Gates for a total of seventeen Guardinals. Ten of them fueled their magical energies into a single spell of epic proportions while the other seven did the same, the entire group of nineteen beings as a whole rising as a link seemed to establish between each Guardinal and Torment.

A nimbus of light surrounded the eighteen, drawing off each one along the line in the spell from the ten to amplify the strength of their light exponentially. The darkness would not be able to come near them, the strength of their personal light rivaling that of a god in each of them. Slowly The Essense of Obelisk and the Phoenix Feather seemed to rise above Tor and Shar, the chain wrapping around the massive pommel of its brother-weapon.

Their circle was the only bit of light left throughout for miles and miles, the darkness had taken over this area. The light radiating from the group was spreading the darkness further and further on all sides. The guardinals would feel a terrible draw as they case this spell and the darkness ate away at their light source. It would inch closer and closer to them as the range of the light would lower, within the darkness it'd be almost impossible to open another gate. There would not be enough light to support such portal. The dark was so thick it was appear almost solid and pitch black, visiblility would be zero for them. Not only that should they track him by aura it would show him as the darkness in one extreme aura signature. Sounds and smells were a negative, this is his version of the perception null. Only difference is once darkness take over, he can be any and everywhere within that space, at any given time.

Suddenly, a reaction happened similiar to what happens when you spray an aerosol can at a fire for too long. Eventually the flame will travel up the stream and the ignite the rest of the can's contents exploding. Fully saturated by the light the darkness would collapse upon them on all sides, over powering the light with sheer mass and purity. Drowning out the bright light within the gigantic darkened space. From sky to ground expanding 50 miles outwards on all sides was an endless black abyss. This was his special ability, perfect dark, light could not survive within the area at all regardless to its make up or the power and ability of those casting it. All light would be consumed within the expanse and light based beings would no longer be able to survive. Within the darkness, Kai would wait, perfectly concealed, this would all be over soon.

The darkness would not close upon the gathering of nineteen beings, held at bay by a combined strength as if they were each gods of all that is good and of light itself. Such was the force not only of their personal strength amplified by each other being, but the strength of a spell beyond even that which Torment could summon forth easily.

The Essense of Obelisk began to flare with a light brighter than that of the sun itself, the seven Guardinals focusing their power into the combined weapon that was now held in the hands of Shar and Torment. The massive blade began to whirl and spin, darting through the air at the will of the Phoenix Feather. Any darkness it touched was not merely pushed back by the light, but the light coming from it was infused with the power of pure destruction from Obelisk. The Darkness would simply cease to be.

As the Darkness began closing it would be slowed by the massive destructive powers of Obelisk. Ten more Guardinals came into the light and reinforced the nimbus that surrounded them, improving the destructive power of Obelisk so it seemed to obliterate evil and darkness throughout their perimeter from wherever it was along the line. These ten guardinals produced another ten Gates which in turn produced ten more Guardinals, reinforcing the nimbus and the powers of Obelisk that much more. A total of thirty nine beings focusing the whole of their power into the single weapon, thirty eight of them picking up strength off their fellow compatriots and amplifying the total exponentially.

The darkness would not cease, it would simply adapt. The destructive energies radiating from the obelisk would draw it in like a nat to a bug light. The darkness would center on the obelisk, using its destructive nature to fuel an evil essence within. Which ever brother was holding this naturally destructive weapon would be rather upset to see what would happen next. The chaotic essence merged with the evil of perfect dark would utilize its special ability against its own people. Magnifying that destructive quality into an emanation wave, as the wave emanated from the blade it would obliterate anything it touched. Its essence going beyond light and dark, good and evil, temporal and spacial, every known classification of energy signature, the energy even GODs would die for, the destructive nature and raw disgustingness of this energy could only be called, Dark PWN.

Dark PWN energy would emanate from the obelisk in one massive wave of raw [everything]. It would completely erase all guardinals and even the brothers from the plane, from time, s**t from ever exi the creative thought that went into their creation would be lost forever sting, evenso no other could ever be created like them.

This attempt saw one fatal flaw, it assumed that one could wrench the power of one's soul from their body, especially when that control was paramount in a being. The darkness may latch unto the destruction, but so much more of the darkness would be destroyed in the process. What was attempted to be created was nothing more than a different form of destruction, for destruction itself is exactly how Dark PWN was described. Destruction is, simply, the end of all things. Should the darkness persist, however, only parcels and fragments of energy could be taken as per the abilities of Torment and Shar`Addan which ensured that their soul could not be stolen, controlled, or absorbed in any way. Kai's efforts would get him but a chip in the blade of Obelisk, not enough to produce what he hoped.

The expanse of the light bvegan to expand as the darkness continued to be obliterated, held at bay, and returned from hence it came. Twenty more Guardinals would arrive and then twenty more again from another set of Gates. Their influence only strengthened Obelisk and the nimbus of light, even as their focus went into a single spell between the lot. Their hands raised to the sky in praise as they each uttered a single terrible word. The combined might of all seventy nine Guardinals brought doom to this world in a means of salvation. Each of them would be gravely wounded in the casting, their life force given up to their Lord on High. In return a blinding column of light that matched the darkness in size would fall from above, an unrelenting punishment upon the forces of darkness and evil. It was a punishment that would not cease until the darkness was obliterated.

[Darkness consumed all because this is not a movie and in real life the bad guys/evil can win. So all was consumed by darkness, and thats the bottom line, because 8-Ball said so. ^_^, this bout is yours MB]
