Though, personally I wouldn't incorporate stripping into the ritual itself, only because I serve Athena, I don't think she wants that.

Which makes sense, since Athena isn't the Goddess of the Wica. So what would be appropriate within Wiccan practice, is completely different than what is appropriate in Hellenic recon and/or other Hellenic based paths.

Nothing within Wicca, subscribes to that particular train of thought (this isn't to say that individually there might not be those who think that, but it's not specific to Wicca) . The only thing that would stop you from reincarnating is if you are an initiated Wiccan and you break your oaths. The Curse of the Goddess is basically that you are cast out from the presence of the Goddess and will not reincarnate into that path again (something along those lines).

stripping as you portray it is a much better activity then cutting. According to some schools of thought if you commit suicide in this life, you can't progress to the next one, having not learned the lesson intended in this life. So you wind up living a similar life until you learn the lesson.

(PS I got this from talking to an old, friend of the family on the topic of reincarnation. I have no idea if this is just his idea or an actual dogma.) sweatdrop

I actually *In My own opinion* believe the same... I just have this strong since I committed suicide in a past life as I have repeated nightmares about it... Not sure tho... I could also very much be completely bonkers!!

I think your friend's objection is a moral/comfort standpoint rather than spiritual. I used to work in a porn store attached to a strip club. I had no problems with this nor had any religious qualms while working there. I think you have a right to display your body as you wish and hey, if you found a way to be safe and get paid for it, then good for you ^.^ Mind you, I'm also for legalized brothels with health care and testing for all girls as well as condoms must be used.

If male advertisers can exploit the sexuality of women and get a good paycheck for it, why can't we take it into our own hands? ^.^ If you love it and are safe, go for it ^.^

Humans were brought to this world naked.

Totally agree with this one...
Thank you all again for the advice... Actually, I used to be a "cutter" and since stripping has been a part of my life, I can't cut any more... Ultimately this job has landed me in a recovery setting of aprox 5 months... I used to be the kind to cut everywhere multiple times a day... Now, through this, I am learning to respect myself beyond just the whole morality thing... (^_^)

I'm glad you changed that.

There is nothing more pathetic and sad that somebody who doesn't give the proper care and respect to their own body.

No offense, anyone confused

Before Wicca found me, I used to cut from a deep depression I felt was incurable. When I began my practices, I read (in The Spiral Dance, I believe it was) a way to worship the Goddess was to show your body absolute care - which means no self harm.

I'm cured from my self-inflicted harm because of Wicca.

But on topic: I don't think too2sweet could have said it any better.

There is nothing within "Wicca" that prohibits anyone from doing pretty much whatever they want to. If one looks at the Charge of the Goddess, we see the following, which would indicate that getting naked is in fact appropriate...

And as a sign that ye be really free, ye shall be naked in your rites; And ye shall dance, sing, feast, make music and love, All in my praise.

and

For behold, all acts of love and pleasure are my rituals.

Anyways, one of my "friends" online said that stripping was against her beliefs of the goodness of Wicca....
This pickled vegetable...

How can that be possible when most Wiccan rituals are preformed skyclad (nude).

... could kick your a** !!
