User Image Now she was curious about the rest of the pride, what traits did the Pads look for in a banu or beybanu? What sort of Pad might she someday be given to? She trusted her father to find the perfect male for her and with any luck he would think her just as wonderful as she thought him. Bright blue eyes took everything in with breathless excitement before she started to bound across the land like a wild flowing stream.

Achal moved away from his den leaving his small, but growing harem. He had cubs, and knowing it gave him a feeling of bursting pride. He still missed is daughter Aurora and his little sister, but he hoped to see them again someday. He would always think of them fore he raised them.

He walked along humming lightly to himself and enjoying free time without the small mews of his youngest cubs, though he was sure he miss it soon and head back to the den.

Parisa perked her head up curiously her gaze following the path of a male, for a moment she almost lost herself in the amazing sight of his fur. He looked like the sky and majestic mountains, she tore her gaze away and moved closer to him. The closer she got the more nervous she became, how would she address this Pad, he wasn't family after all. What had once been eager prancing became a slinking shuffle closer to the great male.
Finally when she was a few feet away she lowered her gaze and tried to inflect her mothers sweet tone of voice. "Good Morning...Sir" she added for good measure. One couldn't be too respectful after all.

Achal turned at the small sweet voice. He smiled at the cub that had approached him. "Good morning to you, little one." He moved around and sat before her. "Are you out exploring this morning?"

"Yes sir, I wanted to see the great lake and meet with some of the banu or maybe their Pads. I'm trying to become the best banu ever! You know it's hard when one doesn't know exactly what a Pad looks for in their beybanu..." She looked at him curiously hoping he might divulge the mystery of what made the perfect banu.

Achal laughed lightly, "well lets head toward the lake shall we. It such a great sight." Achal rose to his feet and turned walking in the direction of the lake. He looked back at the young female, "Every male is different. I personally like most personalitly, but I really enjoy and readily accept females who can do for themselves as well as other. Some males like females who are meek, other prefer them strong and other prefer them just to simple be female. However I am sure you father will find the perfect match for you and you will be the best banu."

"Thank you for the escort, this way I won't get in trouble..." She laughed softly and looked back towards the den. She knew better then to take off without an escort but she knew her sister had managed an escape and now it was her turn!
"What is your beybanu like?" She asked curiously following after him keeping a respectful pace and distance. Her eyes darted ahead to where the lake stretched out before them. She couldn't wait to see the vast water and perhaps even touch it, it seemed like such an important thing to their pride and she knew from stories her uncle had told them that the pride had moved to the lake long ago from the waterless desert.

He smiled, "your very welcome, I wouldn't want you to get into any trouble. You must keep your rank. You wouldnt want to become Kajira, now would you?" He continued to walk as he thought on the cubs question.

"My beybanu, mmmhhh?" He sighed and turn to the cub, "Well she is shy, very cautious, she been hurt in the past. She enjoys cubs and takes good care of mine. She doesnt enjoying bullying but she knows when to bite he tongue. She is smart and has a beautiful blue pelts. I so love pretty coat, kept clean and well groomed."

He stopped at the lake and smiled breathing in the fresh air. He did care for Tsubame very much.

"NO!" she exclaimed suddenly her feet nervously tripping at the thought of becoming a Kajira. "I don't ever want to become a Kajira..." She nodded softly and followed him again quietly. It was frightening to think of the Kajira status, they were unwanted...rebels...trouble.

Clean coat, well groomed...that was good it was added quickly to her mental checklist. "She takes good care of cubs too?" Hmm how could she get practice at that when she was still just a cub herself. Perhaps she would need to watch her mother and her siblings closer.

He looked out onto the lake and smiled, "That right, always a good banu, never a kajira."

He watched the little one think for a moment before she asked her question and he laughed slightly, "Yes, she does. She is with my own cubs currently, but for the most part it come naturally to females. As you grow up you'll see there will be lots of cubs born into your harem and you'll be needed to look after them, but that in the future. Right now is for playing and lessons."

"Have you started you lesson, um ... forgive me, but I have forgotten my manners. What is you name little one?"

Parisa nodded and reminded herself that she still had time, but to improve every skill she knew she would need to start now. She surprised herself with how well she managed to ask questions, normally she was an observer, but of course this was a Pad and he was a well of knowledge on her desired subject.

"Parisa" She replied happily, she wondered if it was polite to ask his name. Did one simply call the Pads, Pad? She had only ever interacted with her father and her uncle and of course uncle Aali wouldn't have the cubs addressing him as sultan.

His words made her perk curiously "Your cubs are with your beybanu?"

Achal smiled at Parisa, "That is a very pretty name, suiting for such a wonderful little lady. I am Achal."

Achal bent to take a drink and once he had his fill he came up again. "Yes, they are with my beybanu. She takes care of all my cubs. Currently now, they are young and need to stay with her. Soon they will be out with others and having lessons."

"Does you father's beybanu not care for you?"

Parisa smiled and couldn't help but prance a little paw to paw, how exciting it would be once Achal's cubs could come out and take lessons and play with them. She adored her siblings, but after all they were her siblings and it was different to have friends. "It will be a pleasure to meet your cubs I'm sure!"

She shook her head with a slight frown and moved to dip her muzzle against the water to drink with dainty sips. She slowly lifted her head and sighed "I don't think Papa's Beybanu really likes us underfoot...sometimes I wonder if she even knows we exist." Parisa shrugged softly slightly sad, but of course she had three other wonderful mothers who were happy to teach her and love her.

"I will make sure that you are the first cub I introduce them to. You are so inquisitive, it is wonderful. They could learn well with you as a friend Parisa."

Achal walked lay down looking over the lake. He frowned slightly at Parisa's words. HE would not enjoy having a beybanu who did not care for his cubs, all of his cubs. "She would probably do well to get to know you. If she was in my harem she could loose her rank. I love cubs and feel as though my beybanu and banu should too, not just their own. But, every harem and every pad is different."

"Have you met many others?"

"It'd be nice to have some friends to learn with." She paws at the waters edge playfully imagining splashing around with friends. Maybe she was missing out a little on the fun side by being so serious in her lessons. She added that to her mental checklist: have more fun.

"I wish we could be closer to her, but I worry about making her angry...I should probably ask her for lessons, I mean she is a beybanu...she must do something right?" Parisa's shoulders seemed to droop a little bit.

She looked up again at Achal's question and shook her head. "I haven't met anyone else...well Uncle Aali, but I really really wanna meet Aunt Aysel. A lesson from the Sultana would be the very very best! Your the first one outside of my family though, you must be a great Pad...you've been so nice and helpful."

"I sure it will be, but remember not to count out your siblings because they know you best and they'll be around when you friends aren't" Achal sighed lightly looking up at the sky. He knew he should probably head back soon, but he was enjoying his conversation thoroughly.

He looked to Parisa seeing her shoulders droop and frowned, "You know, she may not know. Your father picked her and he would probably be best to tell you why and what she is doing right. You should ask him? As far as getting close to her, just do nice things for her and be respectful. Do not pester her and she will most likely warm to you."

"I hope that you get to meet your aunt soon and thank you for your kind words. You young one really have nothing to worry about. You are young and already seem to be a great banu. You have a bright future ahead of you."

Achal rose and turned away from the lake looking back toward his den. "Tsubame has been alone long enough. I should return to my den."

"My sisters are wonderful, and my brothers are as well...I worry that they won't come back someday...when their quest comes..." She pushed away the thought, it pestered her often enough without bringing it up.

"I hope she does, I love my whole family." She brightened and smiled jumping up happily when his compliment reached her ears. She did have two small glowing marks beneath her eyes, but her whole body radiated happiness. "Thank you!"
He had said she was a great banu, and wow was that ever the best start. A real Pad thought she was really a great banu, it was special when her parents or brothers said it but of course they were family they were bound to have a colored opinion.

"Of course...Tell your beybanu I hope she feels well." She bent to take one last drink from the lake before tipping her muzzle respectfully towards Achal. "and thank you for all your advice sir."

Achal smiled at the little female, he would not assure the cub her brother's would come back. He did not know for certain they would. His twin had never come back to him and now that he found his place in this pride he would not be leaving to often. "Even if they don't they will always be with you in your heart."

He moved forward slightly, but stopped while Parisa took a drink, "I will tell her and you are very welcome. They are compliment well deserved. Now come lets get you back to your harem. I wouldn't such a good little banu to get into any trouble."

Achal moved forward again walking slowly. He was headed toward the sultans harem's dens.
