Sorcha leaned against slightly "ah well they would have broken the next time I got caught in the rain any way, I'll just build better ones~, So who have you soaked aside from me So far?"

"I won't beat you. I'd watch your step around the pool when we're back up there though," she said, slipping out of her usual 'moi' tones. "Or you can sit up there. Can you see on the roof? Though I am not Eli, I do not want to walk in on wiggly makeouts, thanks. And we left them with only Auntie Mena for supervision, really, so that's not a deterrent."
Dacj nodded. "Better to break and be able to be thrown to a safe distance than in the middle of a rainstorm, I suppose." She chuckled at the question. "Not too many people. I got Seth really good early on, right in the back of the head. I dragged my mom in the pool. Hit Missy once or twice, I think." She snuggled up against Sorcha's shoulder, yawning as she did so. "Long day--fun day, but long. It's not over until Seth gets Eli though."

"Oh the cheetah is after Eli? I wouldn't have thought he would be the type for vendettas, what happened?" Sorcha asked

Yeah, like he would be stepping anywhere near the pool when they got back up there. However, at her question of seeing the roof, the cheetah Hyte sat up straighter, trying to peer through the branches. "Not quite. Hm, give me a moment." He stood back up and climbed a bit higher into the tree, trying to find an open spot to peer out of that was high enough to see what was going on on the roof. Good thing he had good distance vision. When he finally found a good spot (dangerously near the top), he saw that Dacj and Sorcha seemed to have settled into innocent snuggling. "Nope, everything looks clear," he replied as he began his downward descent. As he neared the branches closest to Missy, he asked, "By the way, do you have any idea where Eli is?" He wanted the kuppy to be his first target, but clearly that had gone by the wayside, and it was just a touch irritating that he still hadn't seen him since before the ballooning began. Had their plan been found out and the other left early?

"Eli pushed him in the pool--ah, the one at the Cottage," Dacj clarified. "Though honestly I'm not really sure why that incurred his wrath considering I tickled him senseless earlier in the day...we were all animals at the time," she added, not sure why she felt that was important. "Anywho, very long story short, Eli got Seth, Seth tried to kill him and vowed later revenge." Dacj shrugged. Boys would be boys.
Melisande shrugged. "Maybe he's off with Kamiko. And good for--oooooh," she said, comprehension dawning. "That's what this is all about! For goodness sakes, you couldn't just...ambush him at home or something?"

The cheetah Hyte had to chuckle as he dropped down the rest of the distance to the ground and landed easily on his feet. "Have you tried ambushing Eli recently? He always has his defenses up, and he can sense me from a mile away usually." He shook his head. "It's probably too late now as it is given all the activity that's been going on, but can't hurt to try anyway." And really, being pushed into the pool wasn't the ultimate crime. Haevan had soaked him now more times than he could count really, and even gotten him into a lake once. But the kuppy had been faaaar too overly smug and satisfied with the event, and that called for some pay-back. "Let's get going back then."

Melisande chuckled at the question. "No, can't say that I have~" Her own ninja lurking had been limited to smuggling clothing into new apartment closets, and that was before Eli and Kamiko had gotten keys to the place. "Onwards and upwards, then."

The two made their way casually up the stairs-- a stark contrast from how they had descended them really. Once back up on the rooftop, Seth grabbed an additional water balloon and set himself on a look-out for his target, eyes scanning the crowd below and ears keeping tab of those about him.

Perfect, elf thought to herself as she noticed that Seth had his back to them. His ears may have been on the alert, certainly, but if she snuck up on him quietly enough she might actually be able to pelt him back. "Excuse me a moment~" she said to Mena and the others, grabbing one of the recently filled balloons and sneaking closer to the cheetah Hyte. Taking aim, she lobbed the water balloon in his direction. "Bombs away!"
It wasn't quite as straight a path as she'd have preferred, but he might at least be splashed.

Seth had been focusing quite intently and surveying the ground below, but his mother's call had been enough to warn him of the incoming balloon. He ducked out of the way, managing to avoid the splash that would have otherwise hit him. "Nice try."
"Aw~ You're no fun," elf said with a pout. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Eli had been missing all the fun not because of pleasant diversions, but rather annoyances. A phone call, a patient explanation, and vague promises later he was about to duck back outside to the party when he thought he catch a glimpse of Missy heading up the stairs to the roof. Maybe they decided to move the festivities up to the roof? He followed after, pausing just before the landing to the roof. It certainly sounded like something was going on--he could hear the noise, laughter, and unmistakable little jabs to his shields of momentary fear, relief...and a whole lot of amusement. Something was afoot. The question was...what?
He stepped out to the remains of a battlefield--bits of balloon lying scattered all over the rooftop, the cement totally soaked, and the humanoids thoroughly wet themselves, judging by the dripping clothes and scraggly looking hair. It didn't take long for the kuppy to form a fairly accurate conclusion--Dacj's party had been a cover for this sort of mischief...and no doubt Seth was a conspirator as well.
He knew they'd been plotting something more nefarious than pastries.

He was back for round two..sure he'd been a little slow to return but he'd at least gotten a change of clothing for the after effects of being soaked. Now padding around in shorts, the wolf could at least not feel like a lead weight in his normal outfit. He'd also pulled his blue mess of hair back, but as usual left his favorite cap on.
Quietly slipping from the Hyte building after stashing his stuff away, Haevan crept up to the roof top a wide smile on the friendly wolfs face. Oh yeah, a little pay back was in order~
Once the elevator actually dinged, carried him up and allowed him to set foot on the roof top. Much to his surprise (or perhaps amusement) the roof top looked like world war balloon hell. Chuckling softly he padded over to the amble pile of balloons, and upon spying Eli not but a few feet away tossed the deadly little package.

Perhaps it was because he'd been busy trying to make out who exactly was on the roof--he was pretty certain he'd never seen Missy look that disheveled before, Dacj and Sorcha were blinking at him...was that his mother in a swimsuit on the far end?--that he completely missed Haevan's attack, though all it did was splash...onto his white jeans. He didn't think this was going to end well.
"I should've guessed," he said dryly, moving for the piles of water balloons warily. "And hello to you too."

And then finally Seth spotted his target, but alas, he was not on the ground. s**t, why's he up here on the roof, the cheetah Hyte thought to himself, readying his balloon to throw at the other. A certain wolf Hyte came out of nowhere and beat him to it though.
No! he thought as he watched the balloon sail through the air. It only splashed him, but still, the moment was over. Eli's defenses were going to be up now, so it would no longer be an effective ambush. %@#$! He may well have to kill his best friend later. Or at least noogie him into oblivion.
"Welcome to the party, Eli," Seth called with a faint smile, throwing the water balloon his way anyway. Might as well just have fun with was was left. If he could get his aim back anyway.

Now on the defensive, Eli was able to duck out of the way of Seth's balloon with ease. "So this was the real party? I take it this might have been what you and Dacj were plotting."
"Alas! You know us so well," Dacj threw in, chuckling as she tugged on Sorcha's arm, as if to encourage her to get back in the fray.
