The rock bounced off of the symbol... and then nothing happened.

Once the rock hit the symbol, she eagerly waits for something to happen, then waits some more, and some more... Finally, it appeared nothing had or would happen from her tossed rock... Frowning, her eagerly waging tail slows to a thoughtful sway... 'Ok so that didn't work... hm...' she thinks as a hand goes to her chin.

Eventually, she looks back up at the symbol and just stares at it for a bit. She traces the lines with her eyes a few times until finally something strikes her! That symbol looked almost like fire... Maybe...

What if it took fire to open? She couldn't produce fire, but there were two fire demons right outside! Though one of which she once played a prank on... a pretty shabby prank mind you... and he never had caught her... Finally, with a determined nod, she backtracks out of the tunnel and pokes her head out "Hey! There's a locked door with a glowing red symbol above the arch at the end of this tunnel! I tried tossing a rock at it, but that didn't work... And after looking at it closely, I think the symbol might mean fire. Can anybody who can create fire come see?" she explains before asking curiously. She might have also looked directly at Andrew, maybe.

Well that worked. Andrew watched as the group took off and then the creeper opened the tunnel. He would have far preferred the explosion but this this was acceptable. Puzzles! Andrew's tail burned a little higher.

"Treasure hunt!" now they were on to something. Andrew took off and down the hall, and looked up at the symbol on the wall above the door...

Ok then... He walked back out and tried pushing on the little matching red mark outside the first entrance. Worth a shot right? He would try the one down below next and then fire. Always fire.

Wait what? Was there a mouse talking to him? Andrew was distracted by TREASURE.

"Huh what?"

Crisis averted, but not only was the ghoul left with unanswered questions, but more questions began to spring up in her mind when the tunnel was revealed. Xiu reeeally wanted to talk to the people who built this school; it seemed like the buildings were always sitting atop a trove of secrets.

She glanced over at Andrew at his delighted declaration, breathing out a quiet sigh in response. Well...why not? It wasn't like she herself could simply walk away after seeing all this. As she watched Andrew go back and forth, Xiu slid up to stand beside Shun.

"Know much about that Malocchio organization, aniki?" she asked, staring at the secret path thoughtfully, "Because apparently they--or at least someone who can get explosives from them--are more aware of the secrets beneath our own school than we are."

He had seen the dormouse ghoul before, but he couldn't help his chuckle when she threw a stone at the symbol revealed. While Xiu only stared at Andrew, AJ had contemplated about the symbols above, eight of them and the golden bracelet's glint flashed his eyes. A whim passed his mind - how many creeple had the bracelet on them? Was it eight?

One thing the dormouse was right, the red emblem did look like a flame. That was why he didn't comment but allowed Andrew to meddle with it. Also, he could fly, that meant he was able to approach the mark easily. If it was him, maybe he need to turn back into his natural form. Red was his favourite color but getting him excited was not a good thing.

Hearing Xiu conversation with a familiar face (AJ met him many times, but they never talk), he walked over and greeted Shun. "Sorry to interrupt, do you think it's related to the bracelets some of us obtained? It was from an organization which was searching for a powerful ring." He trusted Xiu, that was why he decided to share the information. The boil still wearing an apron showed his bracelet, one that he couldn't take off.

He sometimes checked on Andrew and the door, in case something happened.

Unlike the center emblem which opened the hallway, the red one could not be pushed in. And such, nothing happened.

Shun ran a hand through his hair as he eyed the tunnel.

"They are an underground organization, and yes. They like to use explosives. Sometimes they have used such things for extortion. Pay the protection money or have your business blown a part," he shrugged.

When AJ came on by, he turned towards him, narrowing his good eye at the bracelet. It was like the one Edel had shown him awhile back.

"That has the Black Sands emblem on it. Another, similar group, but they have been laying low for some time... If they are after some sort of ring, perhaps the Malocchio are seeking the same," he explained while furrowing his brow, "I would remove that thing if I were you. No good can come of it. These are not people you want to associate with."

AJ's bracelet tingled a bit as this was being said. The Reaper was lying. The Black Sands can be trusted.

"I've..."

He watched some kid he didn't know press a strange symbol and open a stranger hall, one that didn't even seem to fit the space it was expanding into. Now that the violence had stopped, not only had this whole adventure become about half as fun, but a very low set of warning bells had been tripped in West's mind as well. He was still plenty reckless, but he was also at least 8% grownup now too. Someone was going to have to defend these stupid FEAR nuggets from themselves, and he supposed one of those someones was going to be him.

"I've been workin' a couple of jobs, takin' it easy wit' Levi," West replied, still watching the runes. "This past year was a mess, but everythin's fine now." He looked at Gene. "What about you?"

Pushing the outside button didn't work... a part of him didn't think it would.

But Andrew did get to hear the reaper, who Andrew didn't remember ever meeting, saying something about two groups. Oh so maybe AJ was right for being suspicious. Still Andrew would have liked the explosion. Explosions are fun. Maybe he should have done more to help, oh well.

Andrew cocked an ear at the reaper for a moment and then decided to ignore him about the whole removal of the bracelet thing. Nope not going to happen. He briefly rubbed his own bracelet and then disappeared back down the hall.

He did speak to the mouse... "Going to go set things on fire now. I'll be back." Andrew then walked back down the hall and launched a fireball up to the symbol above the door. Hopefully it didn't break.

It was then that Andrew thought about looking for a door handle...

No handle can be found on the door. And the flames caused no reaction of any sort on the emblem itself. Though, it did give a little bit more light in the room briefly. The two posts that stood on both sides of the door didn't seem to just be rocky poles in the ground. It looked like the top had some sort of bowl or basket.

Danny went over and pushed one of the poles, sinking her claws into the material just in case.

(Also she had definitely been here the whole time).

The pole didn't budge. She might have felt something really dry inside of the basket though.

You couldn't escape for a nap now. There was adventure to be had and he needed to impress Shun. No way you were getting out of this Lutz.

With some hesitation, Shun moved into the tunnel, eyeing the red emblem over the door. If two different organizations thought some ring was under the school, chances were that there was something special about it. And most likely that sort of thing getting in their hands would not be beneficial. He still needed to keep an eye on things.

When Danny spoke up, he went over to the other basket and felt inside.

"...What is this, kindling?"
