"Yeah." She stared at his creation still, the little kelp flag flapping lightly in the breeze. "Insanely detailed medieval castles---coral reefs, people---some incorporate drift wood they find along the beach. Fortify their creations with water."

She looked back at him. "They get judged at the end by a committee and can win prizes."

Claude smirked, pulling her knee up and laying the side of her head upon it.

"Says the guy who has plastic stars on his ceiling and rearranges them. Worth it though, hm?"

Chance inwardly cursed Claude having reminded him of this fact.

"Kindly leave my stars out of this," he said delicately, patting one of the walls of his castle.

The way Chance said that, Claude just immediately thought of a princess. Princess Chance. Along with the thought, it was complete with Chance in a medieval gown fitting royalty with all the jewels to accompany it.

A hand immediately went up to cover her mouth, but it did nothing to really smother the sudden snort she let out.

"Are you embarrassed?" She asked, also now smothering her smile behind her hand.

"I don't get embarrassed," he pointed out. "You're such a d**k."

"Because isn't an adequate reply--" Chance was given Claude's trademark Chance please look, but she wasn't deterred in the slightest. She had an ace up her sleeve, after all.

She smirked.

"I'm cashing in the principle of our little game for the day." She told him, and her smirk widened a bit. One truthful answer, regardless of the question. "Why can't we talk about your ceiling stars?"

"It most certainly is," he said, and then he caught Claude's smirk and scowled at her, because he knew where she was going. Chance ground his teeth together in mild irritation.

A sigh escaped him.

"Because they're different," he said. "They're something that means something, unlike something that can be destroyed within seconds, like a sandcastle."
