((PS: Lacrimosa means Weeping))
[[Cue: Last Theme ~ Lacrimosa]]
Louis skidded back on his feet, somehow retaining his balance. He took all six bullets, not flinching, literally numb to pain. Despite the bleeding, the darkness burning off his body, the complete lack of function in his left arm. He pressed forward one last time, without his weapon.
He rushed in, ducking underneath James' gun and slamming his fist into James' jaw with enough force to knock him off his feet and on his back. The force of the blow combined with the odd angle of the thrust released a loud crack from Louis' wrist. Louis didn't stop, he jumped onto James, pinning his arms to the floor under his knees. He raised his right hand over his head and despite his wrist being broken he gripped at the air. a moment later, his rapier reappeared in his hand with a flash of light.
Letting the realization sink in, Louis hesitated. His eyes gazed into James, his eyes were normal now, no longer purple or stained black. They were strained, his eyebrows twitched and his whole face tensed. At first, eyes as sharp as blades softened as they clouded over and he spoke, "That's right... I'm one of you."
Louis brought down the blade, and what would likely be to James' surprise, buried it in the floor an inch away from his neck. Louis' eyes slid shut and black fire engulfed his figure, not burning James, but he could feel Louis' weight lift off of him. The fire took the shape of Louis' black armor, a mere phantom shadow before vanishing entirely. Then in a flash, Louis' body froze into solid crystal flames and all, then shattered. All that remained were floating white rose petals and a heart that floated up and was engulfed seconds later in shadow taking the pure fragments of a flower with it.

Joseph stepped lightly on the sand, the sea breeze gently caressing his face and shifting wisps of his hair. No coliseum for Joe, apparently. But this was fine. A beach held numerous potentials for the wind warrior. Well, fighter, but everyone knew that.
The fighter faced his opponent, the sea breeze blowing from the water and bringing with it the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. From the other side, a new breeze(brought on by Joe, no less) kicked up petals from the wildflowers that grew there, the colorful plant parts dancing in the air, landing on the sand and water lightly.
"So, we actually get to fight, huh? Well, let's get this started, then, shall we?"
Joe summoned his bo, and got into a fighting stance to show he was ready. Even a smile seemed to peek out from beneath Joe's lips. Oh, he was so ready for this.
[Cue music: Nefertiti]((Mind you, I'm using it for the first like, 12 seconds for THIS post, and the rest will be segway into the first bit of action...yes))

Kyle had been there for a few minutes, just staring out into the sea. It was like a paradise, made just for him. The waves crashing on the shore, the breeze sweeping through his hair and revealing its tendency to curl up into light waves, the smell of the sea salt... the beach was his home. It always was; maybe it was genetic, as his mother loved the beaches to. He didn't care- it was his home. Rather, it would have been, if he could afford to live there.
Of course, that was on Earth. Here...
The two had agreed to fight here. Kyle knew he was at a disadvantage, sure, but he didn't really mind. If he was gonna go down, at least he'd go down happy. There was never any place Kyle could be happier, sans with his friends and family.
Besides, Joe always had the advantage. The air was everywhere- there was never any escaping it.
As the bo-wielder called out to him with his signature eagerness, Kyle took one last quick glance out to sea before turning to face Joe. He held his right hand out for a moment, and in a flash of light, his Swallow appeared in his hand, ready to be used.
He then jammed it as deep into the sand as he could, getting it to stand in place, before letting go of it completely.
"Ready when you are," Kyle said, his arms somewhat lifted away from their sides, and a Starlight sphere immediately forming in each hand. He would wait for Joe to make the first move; black had always been his chess preference.

[Music continued from last post :3]
Joe wasn't stupid...okay, sometimes he was, but he planned on playing smart against Kyle. And charging in headfirst without a plan was just plain stupid.
Joe smiled, then charged forward. (HEY! Don't criticize! There's a plan involved!) Bring up a hand, he swiped it in front of himself, and a wind blade shot out and hit the sandy ground, causing a wave of sand to come up, as if to cover Kyle in a tsunami of sand.
Joe smirked. Break left? Break right? Charge forward? Nope, but he did send out three blasts of wind at the sand, making it seem like something was bursting forth from the wave to attack, but that was just a diversion. Joe leaped up, high as he could without using an Air Step, and came down on where Sory had been from above, leg swinging down in a flying ax kick.
Joe wasn't planning on starting off easy, and he was fighting to win.

Straight forward? He's not stupid-
He immediately covered his eyes with one arm, the Starlight pointed away in case he got up close. He leapt backward out of instinct to get away from the sand (and, from what it sounded like, on-coming footsteps), only to feel the breeze blow directly in front of him as Joe's ax-kick came down at the exact spot Kyle would have been in moments prior.
Without hesitation, Kyle tossed both of the Starlights at Joe (however, it seemed that due to the rush, he had horrible aim- they flew close by, but never made contact) and, without a rest in between, he Virgo-Vaulted stories into the air, causing a minor explosion of sand from where he'd kicked off.
As he rose higher, blurring with the initial momentum, he made a number of additional Starlights, but instead of tossing them, left them in his wake, simply hovering.

[Cue music: The Lord God]
Joe let out a "Tch!" before shifting his weight, drawing his left foot back as he watched Kyle in the air. He lefted his right foot and leaped into a small spin, then launched his bo at Kyle, the staff slicing through the air like a buzz saw, the wind guiding it straight for Kyle.
Joe soon followed after it, creating his platforms of air to jump higher and higher and higher after Kyle, but wasn't nearly as fast at the weapon. He kept an eye on the Starlights as he ascended, but his main focus was the dragoon. He had to get in quick strikes, end it quickly, but he had to be smart about it. Rushing in all the time would spell out his defeat.
