:[PRP]: Of Faeries, Stones, and...Lockpicks?

"They don't?" Eudora looked puzzled. Baby frogs didn't look like frogs? That was odd. Oh well. She grinned and shook her head. "I don't care what they look like. I just wanna' see one! Tell ya' what, if you see one, point it out to me, okay, Shale?"

Cabel chuckled lightly, listening to the children, but still keeping an eye on their surroundings. Telrunya was a safe place for the most part...but there were always dangers where children were concerned, even if they were only of the mundane variety.

"Alright, kids. You can go play, but stay close, okay? Stay within sight and shouting distance. And don't go more than knee deep in the water!" Pausing, he reconsidered that sentence before the kids could scramble off. "YOUR knees, not mine!"  

[Kira of Flames]

Shale smiled and nodded. "Deal Eudowa! I point one fow you!" He then grinned to Cable. "Tadpowes not father than knees." He giggled a bit, what a silly concept, having to go farther than were the tadpoles lay.

Koorie started running for the beaches again, remembering her first time she was there and she'd met a very nice Pae. She'd learned a good bit about the children she was raising from him. "SHALE!" She yelled out, cupping her hands around her mouth. "SHALE WHERE ARE YOU!"

Eudora rolled her eyes at her daddy and dashed off down the sands towards the water. "Come on, Shaaaaale!" she called back, grinning. "Why are you so sloooooow?!?"

Cabel chuckled softly to himself, shaking his head with amusement as he kept a careful eye on the kids scrambling off to play. So much energy and enthusiasm for life...was it so long ago that he was the same way? Tormenting his 'brother,' Kane? He smirked. Poor guy...he really was a pest to the demon child...

Suddenly, he gripped his staff tightly, eyes narrowing as he caught a strange voice on the wind. Wait...did it just ask...about Shale? Could this be Shale's caretaker, come to find him at last?

Cabel stood tall, glancing over the beach. There wasn't much else out here and the adult Fae would be easy to spot, standing at his full-height with his staff planted solidly beside him as his eyes scanned the area.  

[Kira of Flames]

Shale toddled in after her, his little baby angel wings fluttering a bit to try to keep him balanced. "I smawwer, remembah?!" He giggled as he splashed into the water, then pointed to a little cove-like area. "Shhhhhh, we needa move quietwee so we no scare them...." Very slowly he started moving towards where he thought tadpoles would be.

By the time Koorie had made her way to the beach, she had been panicking again...ok, panicking even more thank before. She quickly slipped off her shoes and socks so the sand wouldn't dirty them up, and ran down the beach, shouting Shale's name at the top of her lungs

Eudora nodded sagely, taking extra care not to splash any water as she stepped gingerly into the surf. Her wings fluttered lightly as well, helping her keep her balance as she pushed her way slowly through the water towards the tiny cove.

Frowning a bit, Cabel's eyes narrowed as he stared out across the sands. Was that her? He raised his arm, waving to the figure in the distance. Sure sounded like she was the one yelling for Shale. He was sure she'd be relieved to find him. He could only imagine the panic he would feel if Eudora had gone missing like that for that long.

Shale giggled quietly, climbing out of the waves, half walking, half crawling over the sand to the banks of the little cove. "Ah! There!" He pointed down into the water at what looked like a bulbous body attached to a big fin-like tail.

Koorie stopped and squinted a bit at the figure that was waving to her from across the lake; he looked like he was trying to get her attention. Looking from side to side, she sighed irritatedly, seeing no boats or rafts; this meant she was going to have to swim it. Without a second thought, she lept into the water to swim across to them.
