((Not that easy))
As Christoph got close to the beast his time dilating effect was negated, although for the first few seconds Christoph would be travelling at extraordinary speeds, then slow enough to be worrying about his breath, before the spell was destroyed. The Chaos Beast roared, whilst Sacros laughed at his feeble attempt. The creature could manipulate magic at will, creating chaos out of order. As the bard neared the Beasts foot its tails began to lash wildly, the ends like huge whips curled under the beast and began to swipe at Christoph, whenever it struck the sand a new type of fate befell it. The nastiest of these fates was perhaps the instant transformation of the sand to molten glass from pure raging heat. This glass was swept in Christoph's direction.
It was also a foolish assumption for Christoph to make that this beast would be slow and lumbering, its speed was actually relative to its size, making it quiet fast, although it still stayed where it was. It was waiting for Christoph to make a move, although the bard would have difficulty getting near the creatures foot regardless, because the area he was treading on was literally a mass of chaos, two holes, with fire and electricity crackling out of them, among with quickly disappearing elementals as they tried to break through the plane...
