****Scaramouche Fandango Half Truth then attempted to trample a longer path, this time between the southern of the two eastern stones and the southern western stone, going slowly and stomping heavily. Now that she knew the one rock was there, she had something to actually look for.
Like before, trampling itself doesn't do much: pushing grass down only obscures the ground. It's when her heavy stomps manage to break the grass that she can push it out of the way, and when she manages to reveal about a square meter of the earth beneath the grass she sees another, similar stone. The obelisk is still glowing.
Instructions To get rid grass, roll 2d8 and include some roleplay in your post. You do not need to use green text if you are removing grass. Please wait until at least one other player has posted before you post again. The first number you roll represents the units of grass your kin digs up/eats/etc. Please note that your kin isn't actually measuring grass in units - this is just to keep track of the group's pace. If the second number is three or greater, a flat, shoulder scale-sized rock is revealed in the patch of earth they dug up. Each time a new square meter of grass is dug, the obelisk seems to glow slightly brighter - but not very noticeably. There are approximately 250 units of grass in the area. Example: Lull in Sunlight rolls 2d8 and gets 3,4. She removes approximately three units of grass, and can see some small, flat rocks somewhere in the dirt that's been revealed. 248/250 units of grass remain. Please attempt to keep track of the remaining amount of grass for the convenience of the rest of the players.

Evolve had done what Fury wanted to do -- a sharp jab down onto the stone, though it did nothing. A good way to vent frustration, though, and she was tempted to follow suit anyway. Her suspicions of the carvings were not panning out, and she hated the lack of progress.
Only for a moment. The doe from earlier seemed to have gotten quite fed up with the grass, which Fury could definitely understand, but there was a reaction from the obelisk. Just like that, she felt a flutter of excitement. Perhaps she should've been unnerved by such a thing glowing, but Fury only nodded back to Evolve, catching on immediately.
She began moving between stones, too, unceremoniously tearing the grass out with her teeth, then tossing it aside. She does not stop even as she begins revealing small stones.

Wildflower Breeze had been uncharacteristically silent on this whole venture, spending most of his time staring pensively into the middle distance. His reverie had seldom been broken in the entire journey out here.
When they arrived at the obelisk, so achingly similar to the one back home, he had spent some time quietly observing it - although not touching it, having heard of the effects of touching the other. However, when he eventually noticed the other kin in his party beginning to tear at the grass - and, belatedly, noticed the effects this had on the obelisk - the aged stag gave a whoop and joined in with his kin to trim the obscuring grasses down, nose and hooves excitedly busy, tail hoisted high and waving.

"Sire," Stalker said, slightly alarmed. "Is that...it's that...Rockstar, that Sleep and Waking reported on." The twins had named it for its height, its status as a rock, and the fact that it...well.
It gave Stalker a bit of an eerie feeling. He wasn't sure he liked it.
"But the one they described was further South. How many are there?"
The other kin were hopping about, and after a little communication and a found (smaller) rock, possibly connected to all the glowing.
"Seems as if the order of the day is to flatten the area," Stalker said, hesitating, "Um, with your permission, sir." His hoof touched a scale like pebble. He wasn't sure if they should be doing this at all. The twins had also reported strange dreams. He looked warily at the legendaries, eerie and closer to the swamp than to proper kin anymore. What did they have planned?
If anything dangerous happened, they couldn't flee. Straying too far was as much as a death sentence as staying.
He edged a hair closer to King.

Realizing now that they needed to break through the grass, not just trample it, Half Truth got to work. She was intrigued by a vaguely familiar orange stag. His appearance had been bothering her all trip. She knew they'd never met, but he looked so familiar. Did she perhaps... know his family? She might. Thinking back to the last obelisk, there was this buck... he'd been with her and the mute fellow. She wondered if the mute buck was here, too- she hadn't seen him, and obviously hadn't heard him. Beckoning to Rose, she headed over in his direction. She wanted to meet him- always good to talk to new kin, after all. She tore up grass along her way. What was that buck's name? Motes?
"Excuse me," she called. "Sorry to be presumptuous, but would you happen to know a fellow called Motes in Moonlight?"
