PROMPT 002
After a moment of quiet contemplation, crystal blue eyes observing the owlcats with mild interest, Blessed decides to choose the white owlcat. She makes her acknowledgement clear by tipping her head in the direction of her chosen beast, not trusting her voice as the anxiety within her belly would surely make her words falter. She wasn't sure what sort of adventure she had stumbled upon, what sort of things lurked ahead and what sort of impact her decision-making had on her journey... oh, how she longed to be back in the hollow of her fallen oak; filled with the scents of her herbs. Perhaps, if she reached the other side of the marsh, she could find a way back...

Prompt 2: THE BEGINNINGThis was the most bizarre journey Cockerel had ever been on. The landscape was swirling, and he felt as if he was getting nowhere. It was a terrible feeling. He approached a crowd, and two owlcats were sparing off. Cockerel loved shows of battle. He cheered loudly for the white owlcat. He wasn't exactly sure how he had gotten to this place, or why he was there even, but it seemed significant for some reason. It was important that his owlcat won.

Prompt 2: THE BEGINNING
First the crowned doe, then the shifting land. The dream is eccentric to be sure, but mild -- until now. She staggered at the noise, and nearly tripped in her rush to see the source.
"Ooh! Ooh! An egg fight!" Never try to logic in dreams. "Put me down for the white one, buddy!"

Well this place certainly was... Enchanting, to put it mildly. Web was about to ask the doe something, but found she was gone. Ooooh, how mysterious! A well. Web quickly forgot what it was he was going to ask her and walked on. The din of a crowd caught his ear, and that meant there were others here. Walking, no, more like running towards the crowd, Tangled Web found himself among kin he'd never seen before, watching a pair of owlcats fight. He watched them a moment, then looked up when someone seemed to be taking bets. That was barbaric, wasn't it? He wanted to back up and away from the crowd, but found he couldn't, as an Acha was behind him and demanded taking a bet. "... I do this under protest, but the white one."

PROMPT 2: THE BEGINNINGRaven Talker is not unfamiliar with dreams; she is certainly more familiar with the flesh and blood, living breathing waking swamp, but dreams are not especially scary. She just walks forward, head held as high as she dares and steps resolute. If there is no turning back, there's no turning back, even though the thought does make something slowly uncurl and grow anxious deep within her. It gets worse the farther she walks in, until by the time she manages to wade through the gathering of kin it is though a stone is tied around her neck. She makes her way through the writhing throng up to the front and gapes at what she sees. A sudden gentle push on the top of her head tells her Listen is gone, probably scared into flight by the hissing, yowling owlcats. When the acha approaches, her gaze tears away from the owlcats, and she stumbles over her words, distracted by the wide grin of the acha: "B-black."

PROMPT 2: THE BEGINNING The doe disappeared in front of her eyes, shocking Frozen. This must be a dream, nothing else could do that, right? With nervous steps she walked down the unfamiliar path, only to race to the end at the sounds of fighting. The yelling and screaming were becoming to much for her. Frozen looked around at the rest. She wasn't one for betting and most certainly not on a fight! She was worried, knowing that the only way to get by was to pick. Shaking at having to pick which would win, hoping it wasn't to the death, the blue doe looked at the owlcats. Which one to pick? They looked so even to her that at first she couldn't. Taking deep breathes to calm herself, Frozen finally picked. "White."

Prompt 2: THE BEGINNING
Fair Thought always wondered rather than walk, trot or cantor. Her steps were always delayed, due to her ever-preoccupied nature. So when she found herself blown into an unconditional sprint, Thought was so shocked she let out a shriek and squeezed her eyes shut. The feel of her hooves pounding into the marsh rather than sinking slowly was completely unusual to her and she found it not at all pleasant.
When whatever had gripped her finally allowed her to slow, Thought was abruptly awash with loud jeering and shouting. Her eyes, still shut, winced at the noise before opening to find herself amongst a crowd, a circle of unfamiliar kin.
They unnerved her. From the vast majority she felt no kind of presence and their voices seemed to echo not quite from their own mouths. The cheers increased in volume as Thought finally faced at what was directly before her: a fight between two owlcats.
The noises seemed to drown away as Thought focused on the little creatures. This was unnatural, she had never seen such meaningless violence in her travels. This wasn’t nature’s tribulations at work. This was a cruel game.
“Care to place a bet?” The first in the crowd to acknowledge her was a dark-eyed acha, but he was like the other presence-less kin. His eyes held no light and his stretched smile looked entirely unnatural.
“I-I would not.” Fair Thought backed away slowly before turning briskly, only to find herself facing the acha as if she’d never moved.
“I think you’ll find that unwise.” His echoed voice vibrated with dry humour.
“T-Then the… the w-white one!” Thought’s body shook with fright. What had she gotten herself into?

And so, she set of across the mire. While Maple Milk may not have flat-out ran, there was definitely a little more pep to her step than she could rightly explain. She was starting to get the uncomfortable feeling that she was still dreaming, but somehow still conscious. This was apparently something that mystics of the ilk she pretended to be could do, and did often, but no amount of herb or potion had ever induced the state in her - so, disconcerting as it was, at least this odd adventure of the mind and/or spirit would add some weight to her soothsayer rep.
When she broke into the ring of cheering and jeering kin, and sidled her way to the front of the crowd, what she found was almost reassuring in its familiarity - an animal fight, and kin placing wagers. When the master of the ring asked her who she'd side with, Maple made a proper show of the decision, pretending to almost side with the white one out of some superficial fellow feeling - but of course, the black owlcat received her backing in the end.

She came upon the commotion quite quickly, tilting her head in curiousity of the 'fight' that was happening. Evenfall wasn't sure what to think -- on one hand it was the survival of the fittest -- on the other hand it was such a forced situation for the owlcats, she preferred just nature to take its course on them. Of course, she rather disliked this mistrustful acha, goading her into making some sort of decision. What for? "I do not understand." she murmured with conviction, stubbornly not giving an answer for a while. Yet the acha kept badering her, the doe frowning and looking away from the scene. "I shall choose the black." The starry doe said with a gentle tone, her dream had parts of a wide night sky, the feathers of the dark owlcat had reminded her of it.

Prompt 2: THE BEGINNING
She had looked away and into the distance for a brief moment, but as soon as she turned back to pay attention to the doe -- she was gone. Kiss of Death did not get to take a proper look at her and the memories of her left as quickly as it came...
"Right..." she continued. "Let's cross this marsh she spoke of. I'm rather curious what I could learn about myself."
Step after step, the scenery seemed to have shifted into something new. Her mind could not keep up with this dream she was having. Her movements became slow, despite her efforts in trying to make herself move faster.
Sure enough, up ahead, was a strange warped and twisted tree. Beside it, was a large group of kin. She could not understand what they were saying since they were talking over each other but one thing was certain, there were high pitched screeching coming from within the large circle of kin.
She pushed her way past the crowd and found two owlcats in the middle of a fight. One black and the other white. Somewhere near the center close to the combative animals was a dark-eyed acha with an overly wide grin. He was taking bets on the outcome and beckoned Kiss of Death to tell him who would win. She took another look at the owlcats and just went with the colour she preferred to see.
"The black one looks good," she told him. She had no intention to stay and watch but the intensity of the screeching and the cheers made by other kin had drawn her in. Without realizing that she had stood still, Kiss of Death was standing amongst the crowd as a spectator, her eyes glued to the two owlcats watching their every move. If one dies, she could ask if she could have the dead body. Even in her dream she longed for bones.

Prompt 2: THE BEGINNING He immediately regretted his decision. The doe had disappeared, abandoning him to a gaggle of kimeti and their cousins, and in a place so eerily foreign to his well travelled senses that it brought a shiver down his spine. He would find no answers here, for himself or for the doe. Or would he? Up ahead, a sound, a cheer. He found himself inexplicably propelled toward it by something that was assuredly more than just hope. His disappointment was almost tangible. "As if I care!" he snapped at the acha, demanding instead: "Tell me, what do you know of a crowned white doe, or a poem?" But the wheedling acha heeded him not, and finally, to get him to shut up, he snarled " Black!"

prompt two____________________________ ___ __ _ Watch walked forward, noticing other kin fading in as he did so. Most were strangers, kin of all shapes and sizes, colors and origins, others had faces that blended, like lost memories. Dreams were curious things, stories full of imagery and symbolism and hidden meaning. As he looked around, he tried to read into what he saw, but his mind was so foggy that he soon gave up. He was getting too old for this, he thought with a chuckle. His grin didn't last, however. Soon a clamor reached his ears and a bitter taste filled his mouth. Something was going on. Stepping forward, he and countless others filled into a ring where two owlcats hissed and spat. A fight, Watch thought, which was quickly confirmed by the dark-eyed Acha prancing about, hyping up the crowd, asking for bets. "What about you, my feathered friend? White or black, place your bet!" Watch thought a moment. This was not his kind of entertainment, but there was nothing else to do. This was a dream, after all, something was to come of this. Might as well play it forward, right? He reached down and plucked a feather, white and pure, from his garb and placed it at the Acha's feet. "One on white."

Prompt 2: THE BEGINNINGBitter End watched the two owlcats dart at each other, gaze flicking between the two as she tried to evaluate their skill and likelihood. It was quite futile, she found, the crowd caused a heady atmosphere and the flurry of movement made it difficult to tell for sure. Being an obnoxious, dreary doe called Bitter End, she found herself drawn to the black owlcat anyway. She said, straining to focus on the progress of the fight, " black."

 Prompt 2: THE BEGINNING
Owlcat fighting struck her as cruelty, and she didn't quite like that. She watched for a while, at the back of the crowd, mouth drawn. The dark-eyed Acha grinned, and grinned, and she didn't quite like that either.
"I'd rather not," she said; he grinned and grinned.
"I'm leaving now," she said; he grinned and grinned.
She looked over at the owlcats, black on white on black on white. In her mind's eye she could still see the pale, crowned doe.
"The white," she said; he grinned.

Prompt 2
It was an odd feeling, just drifting along as she did with others around you that she'd never met before. Keeping en guarde though, her attention was forced to what lay ahead of her, that also made her dash eagerly towards it. With the gaggle of kin all about, circled tightly about some point of interest, Blue Heart casually peered in to have gander herself. Seeing the two creatures of opposing shades before her, an ear twitched as she was pestered by some annoyance beside her. An acha who was keen on gaining information on who she thought was the 'best' between the couple. Snorting irritably, she refused to give him her eye contact, "White.." was all she muttered under her breath.
