Kin name: River's End
A short blurb about your Kin and how he fits in to the Tidewalkers or what his jobs might be. Subject to oversight by Rejam: Though River is young, he gives the impression of one who is always looking back into the past. He often seems sad or wistful, thinking deeply. His thoughts and emotions are as turbulent as the place where a river meets the sea, foaming and bubbling over and over into long-breaking waves. He is a kind creature, but he can't necessarily be depended upon to do things on everyone else's schedule -- he'll get things done, as long as he's given his own time. At the end of the day, River will celebrate with everyone else, but perhaps there is something more he's looking for? He's a skillful fisher, but he often comes in a little late. For those willing to deal with his strange melancholy, he's an utterly faithful, loyal friend.
Permanent resident or come-and-go? Intended to be permanent! (But you know how RP can move a character's intentions @__@)

. DIVING SHANTY TIDEWALKER CHILDREN CONTEST .

Shanty is a free-hearted Tidewalker who does what she wants. Breaking the Surface is a brave-spirited Acha crippled on land.
Together...they made babies. Four Acha and one Kimeti, to be exact.

And now, the problem: Bitterleaf...doesn't like Acha so much. You could say she doesn't like Acha at all. Much less crippled Acha.
Bitterleaf is not pleased with Shanty's choice of mate. Bitterleaf is not going to go easy on Shanty's Acha children.
And neither is their aunt, Shanty's most beloved Mudlark.

Nevertheless, it is in their stars that these children...must all become Tidewalkers.

Birdsong and Sure strive to prove their worth. Castaway is beholden to nothing and no-one.
And this is where you come in...

Extra RP information that might help with your entry:
Their siblings are Castaway, Birdsong, and Sure; their parents are Shanty and Breaking the Surface, better known as Dive.
Their parents sing a lot. A. Lot. That is in fact how they met in the first place. Here's the RP if you're interested!
Dive will visit the shore, Shanty, and his children fairly often - he loves his children and is sympathetic to their plight.
It's debatable how comforting this is since he spends most of his time there being entirely too happy goofing off with Shanty.
Shanty is brusquely cheerful about the whole affair, perhaps even amused - she is what we might call in the parlance, a bit of a troll.
Shanty's first and best love, even with her considerable affection for Dive and her children, is Mudlark, their aunt.
Mudlark is an incredibly judgmental Tidewalker - if you're an Acha, you'll have to live with the censure of your aunt.
But you're in good company - Mudlark has a contemporaneous clutch, so you'll have cousins who have to live with the censure of their mom.
Not that any of your cousins are Acha - so you might have to live with the censure of your cousins as well. Or you might get along, who knows?
Yeah, you might have noticed that there's a lot of family RP/plotting going on, so we hope you're into that! 8D

Name: Flame's Song
Brief Character Description: Flame's Song is a leader. Strong, determined, and hard to her core she doesn't strive to prove anything to anyone- She knows what she's made of. She is not unsympathetic to her siblings' plights, however, and will do all that she can to turn them into the perfect Tidewalkers she knows all of them can be.
What is your place in this messed-up family? I can see this doe being cut of the same cloth as her aunt, whether Mudlark likes it or not. "Crackle's" role in all of this is to be the example. The ideal of what hardship and prejudice can make you into with the right attitude and amount of work. Maybe one day, with time, it will be her role to push those that shouldn't make the cut. Maybe one day it will be her job to make something out of the those hiding on the sidelines.

Name: Sunset Ripple
Brief Character Description: Results are what matter to this doe. She doesn't mind the duties and hardships that come with being a Tidewalker, but she likes when her work is done an she can just relax with her tribe, enjoying the special view of the ocean that comes with being a Tidewalker.
What is your place in this messed-up family? While Sunset Ripple is an acha and she should care about what her tribe members think of her, she cares more about completing her daily duties so she can relax and play with anyone that wants to play with an acha.

Name: Run No Further
Brief Character Description: Run No Further has grown under Bitterleaf's rule, watching every day as the mare pushes herself through the pressures and stress that the leader of the Tidewalkers bares. Despite her leader's unhindered distaste for her species, Run No Further has earned the nickname, Little Shadow, for a reason. She looks up to and deeply respects Bitterleaf and wants nothing more than to be as strong as she.Run No Further would follow her into the mouth of a sea-beast, if she asked.
What is your place in this messed-up family? Run No Further feels that her siblings 'predicament' is a needless thing to fret over. They are Acha. That cannot be changed. Their fate is inevitable, inescapable, so to speak. She believes that they should put the energy that some spend whining into pushing harder with their work. After all, that's what Bitterleaf would do, right?

Name: Praise
Brief Character Description: Indignant about the treatment of her siblings, Praise is passionately dedicated to her family and defensive to a fault. She's lively and outspoken, and likes dancing, singing and revelry!
What is your place in this messed-up family? Praise often finds herself acting as a advocate on her siblings' behalf, defending them from judgemental tribe and family members.
DUO QUESTION! What is your relationship with Doe 3? As Lyric is the most "soft-hearted" doe of her siblings, Praise has a special spot in her heart dedicated to protecting her. She loves Lyric and wants to keep her safe, and above all, happy.

Entering for: Acha Doe
Name: Lyric
Brief Character Description: Like her parents, Lyric is a born singer. She tries not to cause trouble, either for herself or for her Acha siblings, who try hard to be seen as worthy in the tribe. She's reserved, easily described as a wallflower, and ultimately, just wants acceptance, but settles for singing her troubles away.
What is your place in this messed-up family? Unlike her siblings, who would try hard to gain approval, or her brother who doesn't care what's thought of him, Lyric will take what comes to her without much struggle, although she's deeply hurt by the lack of acceptance for her Acha blood.
DUO QUESTION! What is your relationship with Doe 1? Praise is often the first kin to come to her defense, and so Lyric feels grateful for her sister's help. Lyric would tend to stick by Praise's side when she could.

Name: Refrain
Brief Character Description: Incredibly guilt stricken by the virtue of being the only kimeti in the clutch, Refrain follows her siblings in their plight to prove their worth. She helps where she can, voices their worth when needed, and is a constant follower of theirs. An echo of their hurt, Refrain follows her siblings enough to help and be noticed but never, ever enough to be touched or loved.
What is your place in this messed-up family? Refrain is so guilt stricken by the fact her siblings have to go through so much that she holds herself back terribly from her true worth to let them shine. Refrain could be so much better than she is, but she won't let herself be and is instead the passive role of the group, sidekick to the hero, chorus to the shining lyrics of the song and love-starved because she distances herself from her siblings out of guilt.
