I think the biggest stereotype I get on a regular basis is when I tell people I'm a lesbian and this exchange happens:

"Yeah I'm a lesbian."
"Oh - I never would have guessed. You don't dress in guy like clothes or have the short haircut or anything."

Not all lesbians are butch - come on people!

Also, the whole "attracted to anything that moves" thing. Even my own little sister is guilty of thinking this, even though she's not homophobic in the least and knows that's not how it works.

"Just cause she's a lesbian doesn't mean she wants in your pants."

Although my example with my sister ended up backfiring on me cause the girl in question ended up having the biggest crush on her and really did want in her pants - but that's beside the point. lol

The other day: "Ok, so do gay guys like farting in guys' mouths or not?" xD

There's a background story to it, but it's not that exciting. : p

These links cover a lot of it, and I couldn't stop laughing when I watched them! Just a warning, there is some "mature" language.

"I'm not really straight"

"you don't look like you are a lesbian, you dress like a girl" Inner Me: WTF?!!

"ummm I'm bisexual"

"Are you religious?" Inner me: Whaaat?

"Not really"

"So you are an atheist?" --> Inner me: Again, WTF?

"No, I'm a Catholic"

"You can't be a Catholic, I'm Catholic, the church doesn't allow gay people" ---> Inner Me: stare

"I don't care, I'm still a Catholic whether that dude at the Vatican wants it or not" Inner me: xp

And then the guy went on about how it was "wrong" of me to also like women and how it was only a "phase" rofl

When people find out I am gay (which isn't hard seeing as I am slightly feminine and have purple hair) they ask almost immediately if I am the pitcher or the catcher.

My inner me is slightly pissed cause there is more to me than the fact I like men.

When people find out I'm gay, they have a tendency to assume I am an atheist. Which is not true >.<

That all asexuals are anti-social. Or that people are asexual due to some kind of trauma.

I am, but that's just me and I'm not all the time, just with people I don't know well. And I've never had trauma. I just don't see the point.

All of the steryotypes mentioned and more really annoy me but these 3 are ones that the media usually use most:

That all lesbians are butch.
All gay men are girly.
All bi-sexuals are sluts.
Every gay person is attracted to every other gay person.

And that all go to gay-clubs after they come out, but not before =S

But mostly I hate how you can't have a homosexual character/plot line in a story or whatever without people discussing it like it's a taboo or any different from hetrosexual characters and plots.
"Omg there's a gay character in Glee."
Yes there are also loads of people with different genders, races, hobbies, shoe sizes and personalities too.

Gay men are feminine, gay women are extremely masculine, and if someone comes out to you, they're coming on to you.

Ugh. No.

A few comebacks I know (kinda off topic) :

Person: It's just a phase.
Me: Is my entire life a phase?

Person: But you don't look gay.
Me: That's because I'm one of the secret agents. Glad to know the disguise is working. xd

Person: What do gay people do in bed?
Me: Sleep, relax, read, and occasionally watch T.V.

Person: That's so gay!
Me: Comments like that are so straight .

That everyone who goes to a gay-straight alliance is gay.

Keyword straight.
Some people just don't catch on.

And the "automatically gay if you have really short hair as a girl"
One I got from my ex-friend was, "Since you dress up as a guy, are you gay?" It's called crossplay! :/

~All gay guys are feminine.

~People who are bi are sluts.
~Being bi is a phase.
~Gay people "haven't met the right man/woman yet".

mom: "Go get a boy friend~!"
"Not interested"
Mom: "OMG ARE YOU GAY!?"
"no I'm not just interested."
Mom: "what's wrong with you? Do you need to see a psych?"

Mom, just because I'm not interested in most people, and have kinda an online relationship with an adorable and sweet guy, who you keep calling him "her and she", and shrug off most men you point out, doesn't mean I have something wrong up here.

People thinking 'Asexual" is the same as 'gay'

Someone once asked me why I got a 'Lesbian hair cut'

I said, "I wanted it short, the hair dresser messed up."
