[Duchess Marie]

"What is wrong with that? She is a child in need of care. Why would it matter where she came from?"

"That's all I needed. Should I get her here or would you come to Firemane village yourself?"  

[Duchess Marie]

"Either, whichever would be more comfortable for her. Though, I may have a few more charges with me. With the war looming, there are others who must leave their children somewhere behind the lines."

Sometime later, Uzi had Bayonetta brought by Firemane escort to Greenleaf village.  

[Duchess Marie]

Bayonetta was not really happy, "I come here to live with my brother and he kicks me out?"

Uzi found Bayonetta. "No sis. I'm guessing these guys didn't tell you on the way like they should have. It's just I need to go enter the war soon and I'm leaving you here during that time with Daisy here."  

[Duchess Marie]

"Do you have to go?" Her voice was filled with concern and a little whiny, but she did not want to lose him, too.

Uzi looks down to her concerned. "As the future chieftain of Firemane, I have to go. I am making sure your taken care of while I'm gone and I promise to return for you."  

[Duchess Marie]

Bayonetta started to cry, "please don't go. I won't have anyone! This is not fair!"

"I don't really want to but I have to. But what do you mean you would have no one? You've been making lots of friends lately so you wouldn't have nobody."  

[Duchess Marie]

"It's not the same and you know it." She would not look at him, "fine, go, but you had better come back."

Uzi then got into his pocket and pulled something out. it was a pendant his mother gave him. Inside was a family picture when Bayonetta was still a baby. He then gave it to Bayonetta. "Hold on to this for me. It'll be like I'm still with you."  

[Duchess Marie]

She held the necklace softly and looked at it for a long while. "Okay, I will stay here if that is what you want."

Uzi then hugged her.

Bayonetta hugged him back and put on the necklace with her hand holding it tightly.
