I believe before you go and buy a gun and get the permit you should have to take a class. Just like when you drive and you shouldn't use it until like a year later or however long.

Gun Control- You should only be able to buy guns at 21, now where I live it is 18. What is an 18 year old going to do with a gun, especially in this day and age, hardly anyone goes hunting anymore. There have also been cases where citizens have gotten ahold of military guns, anyone caught with a military gun should be arrested and fined. Anyone under 21 should be arrested and fined, possibly jail time depending on how serious the weapon is. Yes even teenagers who are found with guns should be sent to juvi. If they are caught with military weapons, then they should be tired as an adult because they are carrying adult weapons.

I agree with you except for the age limit. I think at the age of 17 or even 16 is the best age limit. I do believe that this country should ban every type of gun on the market except for rifles.

At least he never had affairs and he never made an ex-girlfriend get an abortion and then go around and pretend to be holier than other people.

Because we are not a Christian country! "The United States was in no sense founded upon the Christian religion." ~ John Adams

The original pledge was written in 1892 by Frances Bellamy who was a Baptist Christian socialist. He got the idea from a cousin of his and he originally wrote the pledge without God mentioned so everyone can be involved. "Under God" was added in the 50's during the anti-Communsim nonsense. "Oh look! We're more holy then you are!" But we're just hypocrites. Did you know we're the only major country in the world that does not offer health care to it's people? 45-46 million people (including me and my brother) are currently without a form of health insurance. Do you know how dangerous that is? Do you know how many people out there don't have a job and have to choose between having a meal or having some type of medicine they need? Without health insurance the medicine I have to take is $50. My last doctor visit was $250 and I only saw him for five minutes and had a blood test. That money could have gone towards gas or food or my college education for next term since that's pretty pricy as well. And if we're such a Christian country and all the conservatives claim Bush helped the Iraqi's why is nobody even talking about what's happening to the people of Darfur? George Bush hasn't even addressed it! And why is it that to "save" someone you have to lie about the reason's to your people (which is illegal) and harm other people while at it (the Wilson's and people in their lives) and why is it that you have to blwo them up? If you want to live in a religious theocracy go live in Saudia Arabia and then come tell me how you like it!

We're supposed to be the "free world" with "liberty and justice for all" aren't we?

Yes, I believe you are. How can you like someone who has lied, cheated, stolen and murdered all his life?

Crimson_Enigma
Personally, I like Bush more than Kerry, but I'm probably the only Liberal that thinks that.

I wouldn't really vote either John Kerry or Bush into office. I don't really like either.

And that's your choice to make. The thing I don't like is when people involve religion in politics. I don't like it and it makes me feel very uncomfortable and weary. As someone else here pointed out Jesus was not political himself so he should not be brought into politics. It's not fair to him and his memory and his mission etc. Now I think it's fine to do like Jimmy Carter does. He uses his faith to help him make decisions dealing with politics but he doesn't use his religious beliefs to make his positions on things. You all should check out his book "Our Endangered Values." He mostly talks a lot about issues with Christianity and what's going on in the world today. It's a really good book. When I first got it I couldn't put it down. I had to of course to study and since I've been so busy I haven't been able to finish it, but I'm done with school on Wednesday so I'll have a lot of reading time this summer. biggrin

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to research both of them and see which one I agree with more. I do try not to involve religion in politics, it does make it seem weird.

You do however have to go in front of a judge and let him decide if you can have a gun permit.

You're purely anti-choice and therefore you are a woman hater.
I'm Anti-killing off babies. not Anti-choice. I believe the Bible to be true. It says the thingy in the womb is a Child known by God. Abortion is Murder according to the bible. I'm Against Murder.
I am not a Women hater. Get over yourself.

Christians should vote, be involved in politics, and support some kind of platform. It's their duty as citizens. However, when the time comes to vote on what is right and wrong, are you gonna vote on what man thinks is right and fair, or are you gonna vote on what God SAYS is right and fair? The constitution is wonderful, I love it. But it does not supercede the Bible. The Bible is the Ultimate truth, Whether athiests and other religons believe it or not.
"should Abortion be allowed by law?" NO, Its wrong.
"should the Theory Of Evolution, be the national belief of the origin of life and the universe?" NO, It's a false theory.
