The High Elves

Intrestin' you almost never see spearmen in my army. I can't justify the points. Soi end up relying on Silverhelms and Archers.

I would have thought originally that swordmasters would be popular. Hell they are cool and pretty good.

Swordmasters are what I use instead of spearmen. Set them up properly, and they are as hard as granite.

Well imagine charged from all sides, knights in the front, spearmen on the left and swordsmen on the right. A further bit of nastyness in the form of more knights in the rear.

Those swordies, lead by the BSB holding the battle banner. Held for three turns before the empire ran like pansies.

lol, yea. Sadly, I have never been able to actually PLAY the game. I just have some models.

Whenever i use swordmasters they get massacred.
So far theyve been killed by IronGuts, Khornate Knights, Hellblasters, Leadbelcher fire, Black orcs and many more.

The only thing that really lets them down is that despite being more skilled and faster than Greatswords they have only heavy armour.

What sort of colors does everyone paint there high elves? i'm curious.
The classic blue and white color scheme or do some of you just use random colors? what?

I use a modification on the blue and white. I use green and white. Looks ok. a bit more wood elfey. But I'm not all that fond of blue. So meh.

Every time I've played High Elves I gain a new respect for them each time.

I would enjoy playing them. But the closest Ive been to playing them is using my Dark elf warband
