My confession for the day. I ******** hate being alone again. I remember why I hate it too. I can hear those nasty little voices, they are louder. *grumbles*

I want little to nothing to do with my husband's family.

We put a bp and pulse monitor on me while at the munch tonight, just as a demonstration of how it works. >.> I was obviously the wrong choice for demonstration. I may appear to be at ease to the general public, but that little machine laid my secret bare to the room. Elevated pulse and pressure, because I was nervous. The lady who gave me a ride there leaned in and started asking me whispered worried questions if I was doing ok, as she knows I have my migraine problems. So I had to explain to her that I really don't do well in social situations...there were maybe a dozen in the room, a lot more than I've had to deal with socially than normal in the last two years. I was ok, just a bit tense is all.

I am happily surgically sterilized, it makes it easier to walk away from conversations like this one. Although, if I ever do wind up with a partner who has a child, and they want me to participate in raising them, things could be interesting. I freely admit that in a lot of ways I'm a big kid myself >.<

I admit, I can be stubborn and prideful at times. I am trying to do better at knowing when to say "I need help", but for a long time it's been me who has been the one giving the help. This tendency has caused problems all over for me, it's one of the things I can't quite seem to unlearn yet. sad

My mother asked me when the ex and I first announced that we were splitting if I needed money to move out, and I politely refused. She repeated the offer a few other times. Today, I swallowed that pride and texted, asking if the offer was still open, explaining my current situation. sweatdrop
