The outsider (Modern / Forest)

"Anyway miss Kaelyn, Does your parents know your here?"  

[Duchess Marie]

Kaelyn started to deny it, but decided against lying to Sword. So instead she just diverted the question, "I told my sister where I would be."

"I guess that's alright. I mean lately it felt like your parents would keep you and your sibling on a short leash lately."  

[Duchess Marie]

Kaelyn did not see how that was any different than Uzi having to tell Sword that he was leaving the village, but she was not about the talk back to a cheiftain. Especially one that could too easily get her in trouble with her own parents. "Yes, sir, Chieftain Firemane."

"So what else would you two be doing?"  

[Duchess Marie]

"Training," answered Kaelyn quickly, "unarmed combat. I lost."  

[Reciter5613]

Uzi then said "SHe actually got a hit on me. She has improved."  

[Duchess Marie]

Kaelyn smiled, she liked to be recognized as someone who could stand with Uzi.

Sword then smiled. "So Kaelyn, what are your plans for the future? You know, after the First-Ones-war thing."  

[Duchess Marie]

"I plan to busy myself with children, I mean helping gifted ones learn to use their powers. I have thought that I could be a lot of help in that area."  

[Reciter5613]

"Well, what gifted powers do you have? DOes it include fire?"  

[Duchess Marie]

"Oh, yes, I have any of the powers or I can easily learn them. I get that from my sister and she had to help me learn to control some of them."  

[Reciter5613]

"Well I need to see if you can use our gift. Show me some fire."  

[Duchess Marie]

Kaelyn glanced over a Uzi, then extended her hand. A red-yellow flame covered it.

Sword watched amazed. "Decent. Show me what you can do."
