Pokemon: Super Eevee (O/A)

[Akuma Rokudo]

Cardinal Souri

Cardinal stared at the ground, a faint whimper escaping him. He was too timid. That was until he felt something tugging kn his sleeve. Was it one of the pokemon? He glanced over at the two left, seeing the small totodile was holding onto his sleeve. "ah..." He blinked, then gave a faint smile. It liked him and knew he was nervous here. It looked nice too...plus it was a water type!
"hi there.." He whispered as he picked it up, staring at the pokemon. It was just so cute. Cardinal glanced over at the professor, "thank you..." He whispered, backing up a bit. He nuzzled into him, resting his cheek on the totodile's head, feeling him hug back.

Elm looked down at Sonata as she spoke and noticed the wetness around her eyes. "Oh Sonata you sad your friends are leaving?" He asked her as he picked the poor Eevee up and held her. Michael smiled a bit seeing Nina make a connection with her Chikorita but then heard Elm and looked back at him holding Sonata. "Whoa. What is that pokemon? It looks like Eevee but it's silver" He said as he walked closer to the professor to take a look at Sonata. Professor Elm laughed a little at Michael. "This is an Eevee, but it's what's called a shiny, a rare version of regular Pokemon. And this Eevee's name is Sonata." Elm said then Michael smiled at Sonata. "A shiny huh? Well anyway nice to meet ya Sonata"

Sonata nodded at Professor Elm's question. When Micheal started talking she got shy but said "Eevee Eevee." (Nice to meet you too.) She then looked over at Totodile and Cyndaquil before burying her face in the professor's chest with her ears back knowing that she might never see her friends again. She wanted them to stay with her. She knew though that they would be stronger and would get to see the world. She wanted to one day do the same but being as young as she was, she wasn't sure if she could.

Elm smiled at Nina and nodded. "Yes that is part of what we were experimenting with, but there is a more important experiment we're working on that requires an Eevee specifically" He said then started to pet Sonata lightly as Michael looked up at Elm. "What do you mean? Why did you need an Eevee?" Michael asked then Elm smiled again and said "You should know that Eevee has the ability to evolve into multiple different pokemon yes?" Michael nodded "Well we have been working on genetically engineering an Eevee that is able to shift between all of it's evolutions at will." Elm said happy to explain about the research they were conducting.

Elm nodded lightly at Nina. "Yes perhaps. But we have made it to where the Eevee will have to gain first hand experience in order to evolve at all and in order to unlock more of it's evolutions by becoming stronger and connecting with their trainer. So the trainer must be very committed to bring out the Eevee's true potential" He stated he knew very well just letting any Eevee engineered as he wished were released into the world without safety measures would be a horrible mistake. "So don't worry. And in case you were wondering the experiments did not hurt any of the Eevee's we have acquired" He said feeling like she was going to ask that next.

Cardinal was gently hugging his Totodile, observing this shiny Eevee. So this was interesting. He knew about shiny pokemon due to his father having one, but he never saw a shiny Eevee. Especially on that was genticlly made that way. He tilted his head a bit before he turned his gaze to the professor.
He always wanted to learn more and more about pokemon. And hearing this from the actually Professor was even better. He bit his lip lightly and hugged Totodile once more.
He was growing anxious about they're journey. He really thought he wasn't cut out for this sort of thing..but his friends did insist on him joining them so he could get better. Because who knows, maybe by the end he would be outgoing and fun and all that!

Elm smiled at the question. "Actually we believe Sonata here is our first ever 'Super Eevee', as we like to call them, and it was actually just luck she came out shiny too" He said as he lightly petted her head. Michael smiled brightly at Sonata "That's so cool!" He said with excitement in his voice. "Has she unlocked any evolutions yet?" He asked as he looked up at Elm. Elm then shook his head. "Unfortunately no, we haven't found a trainer that she can connect to"

Sonata's tail wagged as she was pet. When Chikorita came over and said what she said, Sonata knew Chikorita was right and started smiling again. She then looked up at Micheal with a wagging tail before she jumped into his arms snuggling up to him. Usually she didn't warm up to anyone quickly. It took Professor Elm forever to gain her trust when she was younger but for some reason, Sonata liked Micheal. She climbed onto his shoulder and nuzzled his cheek sweetly.

Michael jumped lightly but caught Sonata in his arms. "Well hi" He said to her with a laugh before she climbed up to his shoulder. Elm stood there shocked at Sonata's actions. "Well That's new, Sonata never warms up to people so easily" He said then nodded and went to get Sonata's pokeball. "I suppose You can be our first 'Super Eevee' trainer" Elm said with a smile then Michael took the ball and smiled at Sonata. "This is awesome! We get to go with our friends Sonata" He said as he put the pokeball away then petted Sonata's head.
