At first, she smiled proudly at her idea when he confirmed what she had offered. One of those eyes closed large smiles. His logical question caused her smile to get a little smaller but no less warm. "Of course not," She answered easily when he asked her if she'd be cross, "I would be; however, if you left before you were properly warmed up and hungry." It was a crime, she felt, to leave her house hungry.

It would be worse if he was half thawed and went back in that mess. More like he was libel to get sick. With noting but concern, she moved her hand from one side of his face to his other cheek still checking for warmth.

Stia smiled, "I promise you I will not leave before the cold is gone." She was showing him nothing but concern, he wished to keep her happy. If she wanted him to stay and keep warm through the cold weather, he was more than happy to oblige.

"Or at the very least, I will not leave for anything more than a hunting trip before the cold moves on." He had to concede that point, he couldn't expect her to have stores for an extra pae in her home. At the very least, he knew he should replace what he would eat. Stia just hoped he wasn't terrible at hunting after he'd been spoiled with warmth and good food.

His answer brought a bigger smile and a happy hum, "I am glad," she remarked brightly. If he left and got sick she would feel terrible! He wasn't a hostage here but she felt certain she would be sad to see him go. "When the weather is nicer I can take you to the floating isle. You'll have options for when you want to leave." It was natural, she supposed, not to want to stay in a strangers house longer then need be. Once the cold was gone there would be nothing keeping him there. At least, maybe he'd visit as a friend.

Looking at the door to the spare room, she knew it was built with the idea that Menolly might stay, but Kurt couldn't say no to having a guest. Glancing back at bowl she says with humor in her tone, "Now, eat up so I can show you around." Wasn't much to show but it was home.

That was only if he wanted to leave. She was so very kind right now, Stia didn't want to just up and leave her, even after the weather cleared up a little. "Only if I decide to leave." He offered, trying to keep up that glee he'd seen a moment before. It had been so very cute, he wanted to see it again.

"Are you sure that's a good idea right now?" Stia asked, looking at her. Sure he was a good deal warmer than before, but he'd been that way just walking in the door. But, she seemed to know a great deal about heating pae up, maybe he should just shut up and listen to her. That sounded like a good idea. If she wanted to show him around, he'd just have to oblige. It was only kind after all.

Smiling brightly, his answer brought a small hum and a big smile, "Thats right, only if you want to." Kurt would let him stay, she was sure of that. With as unpredictable as the weather has been, she wondered if it was even safe living without a home as it had once been.

His question made her ponder for several moments, "If you don't feel like you can safely move then we can have the tour right here." With that solution in mind she began pointing things out. It seemed obvious they were in the living room slash dining room, With the door to their side, there was this chair and a loveseat next to it with a small coffee table of a dark cherry wood. Several feet in front of them sat a round, cherry wood dining table with four chairs.

Past that directly on the other wall was the kitchen. The fire place sat against the left wall, large with two kettle hooks and a blessedly warm fire. Along the back wall stood cabinets and a kitchen island. On the back row there was a sink but no tap due to no running water. "Thats the kitchen and the fireplace as well as cook area. Near the island is a celler keeps food relatively cool."

Looking at the house dead on, that was a long rectangle with a hall way on the right. "The room on the end of that hall is Kurt's, the door to the left on that hall is mine, the right is yours and that door." She pointed to the left of two doors along the wall to the right before the hall on the other side of it from the kitchen, "That door is the tub room and the other the blanket closet." It was not huge but did what it needed to do. From the Kitchen hse had perfect views of the windows front and back as it allowed her to see teh guest.

Stia was grateful she'd given him the tour in their chair. He was warming up still, but he wasn't certain walking was a good idea just yet. And he'd already been given a room? She just seemed to think of everything didn't she? He smiled a bit, eyes following everywhere she was pointing. Sure it wasn't a large house, but compared to how he'd been living, Stia thought it was gargantuan in size.

"It's a gorgeous house Zofie." He smiled, finally looking back at her. She'd shown him where everything was from a comfy and warm chair, and she'd done it very well. "Tub room?" Stia blinked, wondering if he smelled. The fae could probably use a good hot bath after everything was said and done. But first, he'd have to finish warming up a little. And then he'd have to figure out if there was a way to run hot water into whatever it was she used as a tub in there. Better yet, he could sound like an idiot and forget to say anything after that. "Do I stink?" He asked, chuckling a bit. He probably did, not having had a bath in guardians knew how long.

Zofie beamed at the praise saying, "Kurt built it mostly himself, but I helped and planned most of it." While she wasn't exactly a hammer and nail type of pae, she was proud of what she had contributed to the project. In her own ways she worked just as hard and long as Kurt did.

His question made her chuckle and she switched her hand from one cheek to the other as she said warmly, "Of course not," Not likely she would tell him he did even if he stunk. "A nice hot soak will do the body good when you are feeling better. It doesn't take too long to heat the water on the fire and we have supplies from the healing house." A hot bath sounded divine and she was sure he needed it more then she did for comfort alone

"And it's still a fine house." He smiled, quite glad she had invited him into her home. She'd done such a wonderful job planning it. And of course helping to build it. Stia was almost jealous of how well built the place was, but then, he knew if he wanted to build something all he would have to do was put forth the effort.

"Perhaps..." He looked at her, glad for the hand on his cheek. "Now that I'm feeling a bit better.. I could try to heat up the water?" Stia asked, curious if she was going to let him try it or if she would insist on doing it herself. The fae didn't mind either way, but he did want to try doing something on his own. At the very least, he wanted to do it so he knew he hadn't lost use of anything while outside in the freezing wind.

Zofie hummed a little tune thrilled that he loved the house. Her eyes scanned the familiar layout, gazing at everything she picked out. Honestly, if it weren't for her the place would be a mishmash of everything. She had done Kurt a huge favor.

Her attention was pulled back to the fae, looking right back into his equally blue eyes. For a moment she was about to agree with him before snapping her mouth shut, "Oh no, let me." He was still a guest and she was horrified of the idea of him having to do it himself so she insisted. There was a consolation, "If you want to carry the water to the tub you are welcome but you absolutely do not have to."

Not about to take an argument, she set her idea and started to move from his lap. She did take her hand to his forehead first, testing the temperature, and gently smoothing his hair with her hand in the process. Satisfied that he was mostly okay, she started to really get up and go to the task of heating the water for a good long soak that he sorely needed for comfort. It would give her time to put food away and make a bed for him.

Stia fought the frown, settling for letting her do this. But he did plan on getting up and stretching a little while she put water on to heat the bath. "I do insist on carrying the water to the tub." He nodded as if to make it a fact. Well, it was a fact, but he didn't want to come off as insistent on something as trivial as that. Though Arestia did need to get up and move.

Once she had extracted herself from his lap, the fae stretched, starting to get up. A couple of pops and cracks later, Stia was on his feet. Better yet, he felt amazing. Far better than he had in ages. Amazing what some good stew and blankets would do for a pae! He stretched, cracking and popping in places he didn't realize would crack or pop, trying to work out a few kinks he knew had been forming. The hot water of the bath would help with that greatly, but it'd never get everything out of it if he didn't try working on it now.

"Is there anything I can do to help, Zofie?"

At his instance she just smiled and chuckled, "Alright." A small nod followed her agreement as she went to the kitchen. Almost dancing with each light step, it took her time to get into the familiar routine. Running hot water would be nice, but what she had she was thankful to have.

She cleared the kettle hooks, placing the left over stew kettle on the ground to deal with later. For now it was water time. She pulled out a light, large kettle and placed it safely on a hook then moved the kettle over the fire. From there she turned to a bucket of clean water stored under the kitchen island. It was a small matter to fill the kettle with water for the boil.

Right on a gently purring fire, it wouldn't be long before it was boiling warm. Sadly the kettle was going to be heavy. His question made her pause a second, one pink finger on her chin as she considered what she was willing to let him do his first day there. "You can go to the blanket closet and see if any of them suite you. You are welcome to any to make you comfortable." Being too warm was a threat now, far different from the threat one hour removed.

As an after thought, she didn't want him to think she planned on cooking him, she explains, "In the tub room is a barrel of room warm water. Once that gets added to the soak tub, it should make the water just right with this. It might need to sit a spell if its too hot, however." The fire had her attention, as any wise pae with flammable clothing and hair would be smart to do. She did try to keep him in her vision as much as she could.

Naturally she concerned for him, and just a bit captivated. Seeing him stretch, she made a note to add in some extra of the soothing additive she and Kurt received as part of their emergency rations with all of the other sundries.

Stia let her do as she insisted, deciding it was best if he didn't push her one way or the other. She was caring for him after all, and she had invited him into her home without a question or a thought about it. He couldn't do too much to argue against it. Not that he would've wanted to, but either way.

"Thank you." He smiled, making his way to the indicated blanket closet. There were plenty in there, but none quite as comforting as the one he was currently wrapped in. Stia pondered this for a moment before deciding he wanted to keep his hands on the one she had first offered him. It was a sweeter gesture that way. Not to mention, he liked the feel of the heavy wool against his skin.

Stia only vaguely heard her as she explained about the hot water. He didn't mind the boiling so much, it was probably just because the poor fae had been outdoors so long a hot bath sounded amazing. "I'm okay with it being too hot." He chuckled, making his way back towards where she was.

Zofie fussed with the water, adding in lavender and a vanilla bath water additive from the healing house. Remembering the earlier comment she told him as she worked, "This is from the healing house, will help your muscles." It was great for relaxation and she hoped it would make him feel better. Just had the side affect of making a pae smell fantastic. Assuming he wasn't like Kurt and afraid smelling 'girly' would hurt his man status.

Smiling a little smile, she chuckled remembering the past incident. Glancing up to Stia, she noticed he still had the blanket. It would work all the same, she would just put sheets one the bed and use that as the blanket. That was if he still needed it when he was warmed.

While he was okay with it being hot,s he was worried about boiling her guest. To help avoid that, she pulled the kettle off when it was at a steady boil not a violent one. Sure it was a few degrees but the room temperature water would help.

Placing a heavy cast iron lid on top of the kettle, she lifted it off the kettle hook. The show of strain was immediate as her face turned a color of red that had nothing to do with blushing. Before she could help it, the lid of the kettle fell off and was making a quick fall for her foot. With her hands full there was nothing she could do. An open boiling kettle was just as much of a danger with a sudden move as the heavy lid falling. It was a fate she had to accept.

Wincing she shut her eyes waiting the pain that was to follow. If that landed there was broken foot in her future.

Stia nodded, "Sounds like it'll feel amazing." He could smell the aroma it was creating. The fae was quite excited to smell nice again, and if it was to help his muscles? All the better.

He was happy to see her smile, until the strain took over. Stia frowned, watching everything in slow motion, the kettle falling, Zofie bracing herself for impact. She was taking care of him, he was going to do the same for her!

Without a second thought to the matter, Stia grabbed the lid with his free hand, dropping the blanket with the other. He'd only gotten it an inch or so before it would've smashed her foot up. He panicked, looking to see any sign of pain on her face. Guardians he didn't want to see that. No, there was only strain. Thank goodness. He let out a sigh of relief, trying not to toss the lid aside. Instead he set it on top of the kettle, putting his other hand on the handle. "I'll carry this for you?" It wasn't really a question. He'd intended on carrying it for her in the first place, but she didn't seem to believe him. Or was it just her being stubborn?

Seconds passed and she didn't feel anything. There was no pain at all. She'd never broken anything before but expected there to be pain. Forcing one eye open, she saw to her amazement that Stia had jumped in to save the day. Watching him place the lid back, she gave no resistance when he placed his hand on the handle. Instead she answered him with a nervous chuckle, "I wanted to hand it to you."

Once she was assured that he had it in his grips, she took her hands away to allow him to take it, though it was heavy so she was still hovering to take the weight if she needed to. The close proximity also allowed her to thank him. Stretching enough, she placed one small kiss on his cheek, "Thank you for saving my foot." She'd make an awful hostess if she was the one that needed care.
