The Kehjani doctor placed scanner nodes on the stranger's forehead, chest just below the neckline and her wrists, a silhouette of the woman appearing on the console monitor with the injured areas highlighted red. "Tsk, tsk. Such a mess. But never fear! Of ze hundreds of patients I have treated, I've only lost a handful to malpractice.", the doctor said with pride, his grin turning to a sudden frown, "Zis is, of course, ein lie to make you feel better...Is it working? Ach, never mind. Time to begin ze procedure!", he said as his manic grin returned. The doctor flipped several switches on the console, a soft hum filling the room as several fluorescent blue wires descended from a contraption on the ceiling just above the operating table, attaching themselves to the stranger's scanner nodes. "Phase ein!", the doctor shouted unnecessarily, as he slammed one of the flashing buttons on his console. Arcane energy crackled along the wires, jumping between each other as it seeped into the woman's body, blue lines appearing on the monitor making beelines for the injured areas. The doctor looked at the woman, her image reflected in his goggles, "Phase zwei! Now...zis part may pinch.", he said as he flipped another switch. The energy began to overcharge in the affected areas, working to mend the torn muscle tissue and internal lacerations albeit painfully. "Zis phase will take ein minute or three, so hang tight und don't die.", the doctor said through his grin, the flashing and crackling energy reflecting off his goggles to give him a frightening appearance.

The doctor turned to his console, flipping several more switches and typing in command data, "Ach, nein! Ze procedure must come to a conclusion! Maximum power!", the doctor said over the loud crack of energies colliding, hysteric laughs escaping him as he turns a power dial to full. The wires flared brighter than suns, the blue turning to a fierce white as bolts of arcane lightning struck around the room. The energy within the main machine above the table caused the metallic hull of the contraption to glow white hot, waves of heat and swirling energies blowing the doctor's coat back as the console's monitor cracks up the middle. "Phase drei!", he shouts over the roar of the machine, grabbing hold of a lever next to the power dial and pulling it down. An unnerving silence filled the room as the smoldering machine glowed with a gold brilliance, the arcane converters within turning the raw energy into positive energy that flooded the woman's body with a healing light. As the biotic energy merged with the positive energy, the machine hit critical, cracking it's hull and finally exploding. The doctor was blasted against the wall, slumping down on the floor as the swirling torrent of mixed energy calmed. Smoke rolled off of the doctor's coat as he looked up, his goggles cracked but his strange grin remaining, "Oh, dear. Ze Colonel will have my head...", he groaned, using the wall as a support to help him stand. The lights flickered wildly, badly damaged from the machine's overload, as the doctor staggered to the operating table through the smoke, "Are you still alive?", he said, wafting the smoke out of the way to get a clear look.

The doctor coughed as the smoke from the room filled his lungs, the automated ventilation systems detecting massive smoke levels within his operating room and drawing the smoke out of the room. "Ach, und where do you think you are going? Ze positive energy flux is still present within your veins und must be progressed to Phase vier...", he coughed, as he retrieved a long needle filled with a viscous golden fluid from his coat's breast pocket. The doctor slowly staggered to the crawling woman, placing the open palm of his free hand on the DNA scanner next to the door to lock it, "Zis is ze final phase...Now, hold still!", he cackled with manic enthusiasm as he knelt down and drove the needle into the woman's leg vein. The fluid drained from the needle into the woman's bloodstream, attracting rogue particles of positive energy to it as it flowed through her body to the half mended injuries. After the initial pain of the injection, the fluid gave a soothing sensation as it numbed out any remaining pain and sealed her internal injuries, the energy becoming inert after it has done it's job. "Und...Ze operation vas ein success! Lollipop?", the doctor said with a strange grin as he retrieved a piece of candy from his coat pocket, presenting it to the woman as she eyes him as if he were mad.

The doctor watched the woman shriek in pain with intrigue, retrieving a palm sized recording device from his coat pocket, "Subject exhibits strange symptoms to ze compound. Diagnosis: Recommend immediate experimentation.", the doctor spoke into the device, recording the note as he stood and pressed his palm against the DNA scanner once more to unlock the door as a pair of Soldat's came running down the corridor at the sound of the screams. The Soldat's flanked the operating room door, aiming their carbines down at the woman as she convulses, "What's going on here?!", the leftmost soldier asked, looking to the doctor, who resettled the goggles on his face. "Ach, she seems to be allergic to ze Compund L...or some such like zat. Take her to ze scientists for experimentation.", the doctor said, looking down to the pained woman with a sick grin, "Well, mein dear, zis is where we part ways. Compound L vas our strongest cure-all und your body rejects it. I'm afraid I will not be able to guarantee your survival to ze Lt. Colonel, so I bid you auf wiedersehen." The doctor looked back to the Soldat's with a nod, turning his back as the soldiers each grabbed an arm and began dragging the woman down the hall towards the lift elevator.

Firin sat in the halls of his own mind, a strange fog rolling across the ground as he looked around at the distorted representation of the Bel'tha'go Palace Main Hall. Along the wall between the carved pillars were large picture frames, displaying paintings of prominent memories in his life. He stood slowly, walking to the nearest picture but could not make out what it was, "What is all of this?", he mumbled as he moved away from the painting, which somewhat resembled a nomad village on fire. The confused young Captain walked away from the picture, across the hall to the next. This painting showed a line of armored knights with billowing red shoulder capes standing in line, though the faces were a blur to him, "I can't...", he muttered as he backed away from the picture, holding his head as a painful headache became present. He stumbled further down the hall, looking to his left at yet another painting, this one showing what looks like artillery cannons with glowing crystal barrels situated on Caelium mounts, a man holding fire in one hand and lightning in the other standing in the forefront of the picture. "Commander?", he murmured, the soldier's face in the painting being the only familiar thing he could recall. A voice echoed through the halls of his mind, a strangely chilling monotone voice, "Yes...Zenith.", it said, as he backed away from the picture. "Zenith?", Firin repeated, unsure of the voice's source but the name sticking with him as he tried to remember something, anything at all. He staggered down the hall to a large painting at a T intersection of the hall, depicting a woman in strange armor holding orbs of blue energy around her clutched fists. "Do I...know you?", he said to the painting, no response answering him. He focused on the picture but just as he thought he was remembering something, a painful shock filled his body that wracked him in pain. The confused soldier screamed in agony as he dropped to his knees, clutching his head as the painful feeling slowly receded. He looked down the right path of the intersection, the hall blocked by fallen pillars and debris, a silhouette of a demonic man bearing four glowing red eyes standing behind the crumbled stone slowly walked away from the scene, "Who are you?! All of you!", he shouted in rage, standing as his hand settled on a pistol grip by his hip. He pulled the Caelium plated gun from it's holster and fired wildly at the silhouette, glowing crystal projectiles flying down the hall and phasing through the demonic shade as it disappeared. Firin growled as the clip ran dry, dropping the pistol by his feet as he looked down the left path, a pulsing blue light at the end of the hall. He moved towards the light as if guided, passing more paintings on his way. "I can't...remember. I can't...", he muttered, as tears welled up in his eyes. As he reached the blue light, it began to expand down the hall, igniting the paintings in blue arcane fire as the voice echoed out to him again, "There is nothing to remember. You are, and always have been, Zenith.", it said. Firin straightened his stance, clenching his fists tight as he watched the forgotten memories burn away, "I am...Zenith...", he repeated, his voice distorting, sounding partially synthesized as his eyes glowed blue white. "I AM ZENITH!", he roared as a gust of wind blew past him, blowing his hair and coat back as he lifted off the ground into the air, electrical current crackling off of his fingertips as he ascended into a brilliant blue light. Awakening in a brightly lit room, the man who was once Firin'Rai sat up on an operating table, his vision clouded by a crystal visored helmet. He focused intently, his eyes glowing as his vision cleared despite the full face visor, a man with white synthetic skin standing before him, "Welcome to life, Zenith.", the man said in a distorted monotone. The man known now as Zenith, looked down at his body, he wore a long coat of dull silver color with brass colored trim and glowing blue gem nestled in a powered setting sat in the center of his chest. As he looked at his hands, he could see beneath his coat he wore a full body black biosuit, a bracer clamped to each wrist that sported power gauges on the readout monitors with florescent blue wires running to a set of rings on his fingers. Zenith sat on the edge of the table, planting his metal plated boots on the floor with a loud click, looking to the man in the familiar officer coat, "Orders, Colonel?", he said, his own voice distorted by a synthesizer built into his helmet. The synthetic man began to laugh, as Zenith noticed a woman standing behind him, a half horrified look on her face that she attempted to hide.

The Soldat's dragging the woman were caught off guard by the sudden flare of biotic energy, being blasted across the hall into the walls with a painful crack. The men groaned in pain, unable to regain their footing as they slumped against the wall. A shrill resonating alarm began to blare down the hall, red warning lights flashing as a voice echoed over a loudspeaker, "Security breach on B10, all noncombat personnel evacuate immediately. All Soldats seal the exits, A Technomancer has been dispatched to med wing corridor. I repeat...", the strangely calm female tone spoke. Soon after the announcement ended, the alarm stopped but the red warning lights remained blinking. The sound of metal footsteps echoed through the hall that slowly grew louder with each second, before a man in an advanced Technomancer coat bearing a helmet with a full face crystal visor rounded the corner at the end of the hall where Parallax had led Firin. The man stopped as he stood facing the pained woman at the end of the hall, lines of data in the Shadelandic script flashed across his HUD. Zenith could read the orders that flashed across his helmet's display that read, "Prime Objective: Incapacitate the intruder for interrogation. Secondary Objective: Should prime be impossible, eliminate the threat.", the data read, as the words flashed off of his display, being replaced by a targeting reticule that highlighted the woman with a red glow. Zenith slowly walked down the hall, his boots making loud clicks as the metal plates met the metal floor as he opened his clenched hands causing electricity to spark off from his fingertips. "Halt! Stand down or be vaporized.", Zenith called out, his voice distorted by his helmet's synthesizer as the electric sparks became bolts of blue lightning that struck wildly around the hall.

Zenith held out his right arm with his palm out facing the woman as the biotic energy rushed at him. The Technomancer rotated his arm clockwise, pulling in his outstretched hand as he finishes the circle only to thrust it forward in the center of the imaginary circle he drew with his thumb, index and middle fingers extended. As Zenith finished the hand gesture, the monitor on his right bracer flared to life, sending arcane signals down the wires to his fingers to power his arcane hand gesture, a translucent bubble of pure force springing up around him. As the biotic blast collided with his force bubble, a rippling formed across it's surface as the arcane barrier absorbed the kinetic impact of the blast while the energy itself absorbed the damaging force of the biotic energy. The force bubble 'popped' soon after the impact, dispersing the wave of biotic energy harmlessly around Zenith an a rain of blue sparks. "Final warning.", the Technomancer said, as he slid his right foot back as he extended his left arm, holding out his thumb, index and middle fingers to mock a gun, "Surrender. Or be destroyed.", Zenith said, his voice sounding distorted and threatening as the left bracer monitor began to glow, a spark of arcane energy bursting at the tip of his fingers forming into a small orb of raw arcane power at the front of his mock pistol, waiting to be fired.

The great arched gates of Kehjan soon stood before Selene and Rosa, the architecture showing an Arabian motif with hints of Egyptian. The gate checkpoint was comprised of a set of scanners built into the sides of the arch ways with three orbital camera domes situated above the entrance, the two flanks pointing inward to the walkway directly in front of the arch while the middle points straight forward to view those approaching. As Rosa attempted to pass through the checkpoint, one of the eight Soldat's nudged her with his rifle to stop her, "Identification and purpose?", he said, his tech coat bearing a golden trim but resembling a Kehjani regulars' style. Rosa huffed, placing her hands on her hips, "I am Sergeant Major 'Blood Eyes', here with my subordinate, Sergeant 'Survivor'. I'm here to deliver my reports so if you'd be so kind as to step aside...", she said with authority. The Soldat scoffed, shaking his head, "Really? Well, Sgt. Major, I am 2nd Lieutenant 'Guardinal', and your entrance is denied until I verify you and your subordinate's ID.", the Soldat said with greater authority. Rosa felt flustered but hid it well, "Fine! Go right ahead...sir.", she said reluctantly, concerned that he won't find Selene's data anywhere in the Kehjani rosters. The 2nd Lt. tapped a sequence into his eyepiece, scanning through sets of data until Rosa's blood red info appeared to him. "Hmm, you check out. But, I don't believe I've seen you or your subordinate before, just where have you been all this time?", 'Guardinal' asked, as he sorted through more files looking for Selene's info. Rosa thought quickly, "We were...on extended reconnaissance near Kritya. We've been ordered back just yesterday.", the vampire lied, hoping the Soldat falls for her story. 'Guardinal' eyes Rosa suspiciously but nodded, "I see. Well, your ID checks out but I'm not seeing Sgt. 'Survivor' on our rosters so far...", the Soldat said, his suspicious gaze looking to Selene as two more Soldat's walked over to see what the commotion was about. "Well keep looking, it has to be there.", Rosa said, trying to think of a contingency plan. As 'Guardinal' was shifting the sets of data on his eyepiece, a blaring alarm began to sound within the city, immediatly drawing the checkpoint guards' attention. "Attention all personnel, there has been a breach in B10 Med Wing corridor. Martial Law is now in effect. Begin drafting procedures for all able bodied Kehjani at the central spire of Under Realm. All other civilians are to be escorted to their homes to be placed under house arrest. Be advised, use of deadly force is authorized for any unwilling to comply. I repeat...", a calm female tone spoke over a multi-way loudspeaker. The 2nd Lt. looked back to Rosa, "It seems we have work to do, so I'll take you on your word this time, now look alive and hop to it.", 'Guardinal' commanded, turning on his heel to rush into the city with five of the seven remaining checkpoint guards, the other two remaining to keep watch. Rosa nodded as the Soldat jogged off into the streets of the massive slum known as Under Realm, turning to look at Selene, "That was close. We better play along for now to avoid further suspicion.", the vampire said quietly, so as not to draw the other Soldats' attention.
