Sòlas cocked his head slightly. "I heard Chiron say something about an Olympic medal... though I don't see myself what it has to do with this quest," he admitted sheepishly. He knew if Chiron had known he'd overheard him speaking to Mr. D one night after 'lights out', he'd be in trouble, but at the moment, it wouldn't matter if his "questmates" knew he'd heard something. So we have to get a gold medal.... too bad that Tess isn't here... she's Percy's daughter, he thought, knowing that the granddaughter of Poseidon was respected if not all that well liked by certain gods; specifically, Artemis, Hestia, and Aphrodite as well as his own father. |

Celestia looked at the arrows and stuttered. She didn't need them, that was what she was about to say, though she thought better of it. She didn't want suspicion to be aroused, so she smiled a pearly white grin and tok the arrows with gratitude. Thanks. With all the commotion, I must have forgotten to pack them. And this phone doesn't really come with arrows. Celestia took the container of arrows and slung them over her back, placing them where arrows should be.
She then noticed how Sòlas knew about the medals, though she didn't bother thinking twice about it. Chiron told me about the quest, how we need to find three keys hidden behind their own unique doors. Each key has its own clue as to where the next one s hidden. The third key's clue is to where we will find the whip, and once all three keys are joined together, it wil form one solid key to unlock the door of the whip. She explained, making sure not to miss a certain detail. She then remembered she was a daughter of Aphrodite, and those kids don't really care about quests and knowledge about them, though it was to late, so she didn't let it bother her.
Celestia walked on towards the tree infested forest, grabbing a case of insect repellent from her bag. Swatting away a few knats, Celestia whined about all the bugs in this place. She started to spray the stuff on her skin, however she faltered. Something, a noise, very faint, rang in her ear. She had to concentrate harshly to focus in on it, a sound that should not be in the forest. Did you guys hear that? Like, a slight thumping sound? Celestia was growing worried, though she wouldn't let her companions notice, since it could very well be nothing. |

Celestia shook her head, it didn't sound like drum beats, well, maybe, but not quite. It sounded like, a...large creature...heading their way. Celestia grabbed her phone from her pocket and pointed it outwards, flipping the keyboard out from underneath the phone, ready to press a number.
She had no idea what they were about to face, if it was anything at all. Her heart was thumping in her chest, if the banging sound of the creature was any quieter, the others would be able to hear her no doubt. It was getting closer, whatever it is.What could it be....It's getting closer.
Then, it made a sound other than its stomping feet, a roar, so loud it shook the trees and vibrated the ground. Celestia's blue eyes widened with fear, she now knew what it was, Artemis had told her about it. And if they were to ever face it, they should do one thing. Oh crap! Run, RUN! Celestia screamed, not bothering tot ell the others why. She stared at Solas with leadership in her eyes, covering the fear. She wasn't saying to run, she was telling them. Unless you wish to die, run. If we get cornered, then we fight. Fight a losing battle that is. |

Crescent smiled as Celestia accepted the arrows. It had been so long, and he barely got to speak to her because it would risk blowing her cover, so he liked being able to help her when he could. Without a word he nodded as Solas explained himself about the medal, apparently he could either read minds, or his face really gave himself away, because he had never actually voiced his confusion as far as the Olympics went. As they continued on and Celestia went on about the quest Crescent suddenly stopped and ducked behind a tree, hearing a loud thumping in the distance. A few seconds later the others seemed to hear it as well and Celestia pointed it out. Though he gave no answer as he was allready hidden and waiting to see what it was. He slowly shook his head at the notion of drum beats, and readied his hand at his bow string. Since the light from his energy arrows would give him away, he couldn't actually pull back until right before he was going to fire, which was one of the more annoying things about using the energy arrows. Crescent closes his eyes as it roared, this was big prey for sure, and it would take a calm mind, and a swift hand to take it down. That was until Celestia opted so scream and run away, with Solas following behind her. Letting out a small sigh Crescent whistled and a deer came running past the tree and he hopped on, saddling it backwards so he could look fire back at it while they retreated. Ignoring Celestia's "orders" Crescent drew his bow, a radiating arrow forming in it as he drew back, and fired several shots into the forest. The first few were just warning shots to try to scare the beast off or distract it. As the deer came up past Celestia he grabbed her arm and pulled her onto the deer's back with him. "don't be afraid. Its been a long time since we've hunted together huh? I hope you haven't gotten rusty" he whispered to her with a smile. He drew back his bow again and shot off to the side. The bow would then bank around and hit the beast from the side, giving the idea that they were firing from a different location, and thus heading in a different direction. "after all, it was a long time ago when mom told us to run from this thing, we've gotten a lot stronger since then" he said. She had left when she was 11, that was alot of time for old restrictions on what they should and shouldn't face to wear off.

[[ Cerscent doens't know she is a daughter of Zeus, but thinks she is still of Aphrodite, just a reminder. Unless I read your post wrong. it's late here. xD But they did grow up together. ^.^ ]]
Celestia gasped unexpectedly as she felt a hand tug her upwards, When she realized it was Crescent, carrying her to the semi safety of some wild deer. The deer's warm fur momentarily eased her. She buried her hands into it's soft coat, feeling the warmness take over her. She then remembered what they were running from, and as she watched Crescent shoot his arrows, she shook his head in dismay.
Idiot. She said playfully, not in a manner for insult. Your arrows will do nothing, only make it angrier. Celestia squinter her eyes and searcher for the beast, it was running so fast now, no doubt it would soon catch up to them and Solas, who was running rather quickly. She spotted a split second of it's golden fur, her heart lept. So what they say is true, it's fur really does look golden.
She thought to herself, trying to block out the thoughts of fear aching to take over her body and mind. Normally, a good fight would be the only think to heal her feelings of solitude and anger, though this battle, the fight that would soon come, it was not what she wished for. I only wonder, how in the world did it get here, in the forest? She asked, obviously meat as a rhetorical question.
The lion roared, leaping from the darkness the shade from the trees provided, straight towards Celestia and Crescent. She grabbed her friend and jumped off from the deer's back, slamming on the ground with the boy. The Lion hit a tree, expecting to sink it's teeth into her own flesh.
Celestia scrambled to her feet, staring with awe at the beast's impenetrable fur.It was just like the lion Hercules battled, the one whose coat was so strong, not arrow or sword could pierce it. Only, they were not hercules.
Celestia grabbed her phone from one of her pockets and jabber her finger into a number, not caring which it was. The phone suddenly turned into an ax, made of Stygian Iron, and positioned herself to attack. (( did I say celestial bronze before, sorry, I meant it was this metal ))

The larger your even number, the stronger the hit. This lion can take a total of 42 points, since he is like, insanely strong. It may change if this number is to easy, or to hard. ]]

Crescent's brow furrowed as Celestia chidded him. "angry targets make big mistakes" was he said in reply as he began firing more arrows at it. "beasts like this don't have boundaries, they go were they please" he said in reply to her question, even if it was meant to be rhetorical. The fear that now plagued his sister had no such grip on him. He had long been taught that fearing big game wasn't a weakness, but wisdom. Artemis had allways told him to try to hone his fear, and allow it to make him more aware of means of escape if things became dire. The boy took a deep breath and centered himself. "if you do not put down this beast it will slaughter you, your friend, and your dearest sister. You don't want to see those close to you die.....so do not fail" he thought, turning the fear of he and Celestia being mauled into motivation. It didn't take long for the beast to catch up, and when the beast lunged at them Crescent smiled. He was just readying to fire a shot into the lion's gaping maw when Celestia suddenly grabbed him and pulled him off the dear, causing his shot to fly off wildly and dissipate in mid air before it hit anything. Crescent rolled when he hit the ground and readied another arrow immediately, staring down the beast. A Nemean Lion. He quickly began looking the beast over for weakpoints, then looked over at Celestia. "different weapon, It fur is impenetrable so the only place we can hit it is the ears, eyes, nose, mouth, and back end. You're going to need a thin piercing weapon to do any damage" he said to her, his turn to be lecturing her. Just then the Lion turned back to them and let out a mighty roar. Mid roar Crescent loosed his arrow at it, aiming right down its gullet where it fur would do nothing to protect it.
(yes I know Crescent doesn't know she's the daughter of Zeus, I didn't write anything that would imply that. If your talking about the blowing her cover bit we established that Crescent is helping her hide the fact that she was raised by Artemis.)

Celestia smiled, pressing the "hang up" button. The ax immediately turned back into a phone. This time when Celestia pressed a button, she made herself aware of which one she pressed. When the phone transformed into a spear, she laughed, though not very happily. She step back with her left foot, standing in her fighting stance. She had no idea how to use the spear, but how hard could it be? It was a stick with a pointed thing on the end, all you had to do was jab and swing, right?
Celestia desperately tried to remember the tips in fighting Artemis used to teach her, though she found herself unable. IT seemed the five years of her fighting only stuffed dummies at camp made her slightly forget what real battle was like. She was enjoying this, though at the same time, she feared not only for her own, not only for her friends, but the demi gods and gods lives as a whole. If they failed, who woud find out? Who would go on this quest again, who would Zeus trust? Who would save her father, (Though she tried not to, she couldn't help but care, at leaste the slightest bit) and the lives of everyone else? She didn't want to succeed, she simply had to, all of them did.
Dam lion, so we blind it and give it a nasty...uh...butt ace, what good will that do?!? She cried out, swinging her spear towards the Lion's face. She stepped back and tripped a tree root, though she tried to focus on her attack, she fell, then scrambled up, gripping her spear, looking to see if she did any dammage.
[[ Will post as the lion in a sec his dammage is now at 24 points to kill him, I might make it higher, since this is supposed to be really hard. ]] |

Crescent watched as the arrow blast the line in the roof of the mouth, though it didn't hold its shape long enough to pierce through like he had hoped, another downside of energy arrows. He looked over at Celestia and allowed himself a small smirk at her comment. "shots to the ears, nose, and eyes are able to stab through into the brain, while shots to the mouth and rear end can potentially skewer through multiple internal organs. Either way the damage will be considerable, the only problem is hitting it with enough force at the proper angle to reach its vital spots" he told her, allready readying another arrow. However he noticed her trip on a root and immediately abandoned his shot to help her. He dove and slid under her, acting as a cushion to soften her fall. He let out a small "oufh" when she landed on him, but otherwise wasn't hurt. "you allright?" he said as she scrambled back to her feet, a little winded from her landing on him. Unfortunately his attempt to catch her had left him open and the beast lunged forward and swung his claw at him. He managed to dodge the claw by rolling away, and while still on his back he drew back his bow and rapidly fired three shots at the beast, all trying to center in on its eyes and nose.

Celestia looked at Crescent with a tired smile, more of weariness though. Fine, thanks. Cesesltia took this time as an advantage and thrust her spear at the lion's face. A thought dawned in her mind, should she....try it? She hadn't used her power over electricity in years, no....it was to dangerous to try now. Though in the back of her head, she desperately wanted to let go of all the energy build up that was inside of her. But she would refuse it, unless the battle became horrid.
Celestia tried to think about something else. This lion, it was powerful, it's attacks were as strong as its fur coat. Maybe if they managed to kill it, they could split the fr, since it was huge, and make capes from them, for protection purposes of course. How strange it would look for three teenagers walking around with fur capes.
How in the world did a beast like this get in the forest anyways? I wouldn't be half as surprised if it was a minotoar, but.. a lion?!?!?!?! Could someone have sent it to slow us down, for a short matter of time or for.....good? Celestia tried not to think about it, but it bugged her to no end. Was someone targeting them? Was a god trying to kill them, one that wants the end of Zeus? Or a demi god, or immortal, trying to kill their enemy before the whip is found by them?
