Vanwyn let out a soft chirp. She wanted to get up and move some. But being she was already up, she was fine. She smiled toward her sister, letting out pleased little noises, and nuzzling her, trying to get her to get up and play. The filly wanted nothing more than to bound around and think of what to do. She could go exploring, maybe. But right now, that world out there was scary. She was much more happy with being able to be around her mother and father, and sisters. And whomever that other one was. The colorful one.

When she was pulled back, Vanwyn let out a small distressed noise. She looked up at her mother for a moment, staring. Her bright green eyes flickered, before Vanwyn let out a chirp, and let her mother preen her. She jerked slightly when she felt her head tugged, but allowed it all the same. Her eyes flickered to stare toward her father. And it wasn't until another female appeared, did Vanwyn realize what was going on. Why were people coming in still? She blinked toward the new female, and sniffed some, trying to catch her scent. Who was she?

Laveda made a soft noise then stuck her nose back into the nest, letting the little filly investigate her scent. She smelt sort of familiar despite being new, faintly like the father, but a little like the paler oracle, but not quite exactly like a pure mixture. She was family, though.

Giving Vanwyn a quick lip at her feathery main, she took the opportunity to investigate for any hidden spines of young feathers within the hair beyond the crest, though one mare seemed to have mostly developed feathers growing already from their mane -- they were well developed for their age.

Nodding, she finally pulled away and began to dig through the bags again, withdrawing her tools, setting the carved bone cage wrapped tightly on a longhandle, decorated with feathers, beads, shells, claws, and arcane symbols, with two golden wings spreading out from below the cage. She set some of the bound sage into the cage and began to hum, singing wordlessly one of the song's to the spirits, her throat warbling as she struck one wrapped stone with another, carefully pinched between her claws. The spark of light flashed in the air and lingered as it fell. She did it again, then struck once more to light the incense, making sure it lit on the third sacred strike. She tended it into a slight flame, then smothered it and closed the cage and the latch and took the padded leather handle in her teeth, humming as she swang her head back and forth, the beaded strings rattling together during the slow arcs as she danced through the cave, a thin trail of white smoke following behind the burner as she cleansed the dwelling, rattling the shells together expressively when necessary.

She hopped up onto the shelf and noted the cave was bigger than it seemed -- this would most certainly make a good secure place for many to gather in times of war, as well as, with a little sprucing up to make more reachable, a good crafting area and nesting ground for the numbers Vanya, Risuleri, and other sisters who were tending to their own duties were hoping to amass. There was even a small pool with fresh clean water, filtered through the granite of the mountains, the thin crack, too small for even a young filly to venture through, showed that the cave was much deeper within, but to try and clear the way would spoil the gift given to them by the spirits of the spring, and only water seemed to be there regardless.

But, for the time being, the living quarters were somewhat cramped, especially since they didn't wish to leave out Risuleri, who as a Plainsrunner could not climb the rocks as the Treewalkers could.

Vanya gave a smile and a nod as Laveda entered the gave. "Priestess Laveda. It's a pleasure to have you with us." She gave a low bow. "Oracle Aylin."

As Laveda inspected her children, Vanya couldn't help but chew on her bottom lip, a bundle of nerves. What if something was wrong? What if the spirits would reject them? These thoughts and many others flew through her mind until Laveda began her ritual.

Vanya took that as a good sign and relaxed a bit, staying silent while Laveda worked. She watched carefully; she truly was marvelous and Vanya found herself spell-bound by the mare. She'd never before seen this ritual performed. It was all so.. fascinating.

Vanya broke her gaze for the moment, staring at the three beautiful daughters she'd been blessed with. Closing her eyes, she whispered a silent thank you to the spirits and a prayer for good things for them all.

The arrival of new soquili excited Vanmoriel and she chirped and bounced around happily. As the blue mare came near her and her sisters, she silenced herself and stayed still. They seemed important and she didn't want to get in trouble. Then something wonderful started to happen. The mare started to dance and sing and make light fly through the air. Vanmoriel watched in wonder, mouth open and eyes wide. She was entranced, stunned into silence, even if she could find words to speak.

Vanmoriel wiggled a little closer, wanting a better look. She eyed her mother from the corner of her eye and caught her having the same reaction to it as she did. Vanmoriel continued to watch Laveda, feeling safe and happy with her family around her.

Family.. The dancing and singing mare had called daddy daddy too. Did that mean they were sisters? She almost began to chirp and wiggle again, but contained herself. She could get excited after.

(OOC: Ownership of Aylin was transferred to me when Dixie quit so I'll be rping her from this point on *misses Dixie*)

User Image The Oracle laughed softly once more as Laveda left the social grouping, shaking her head subtly -- it seemed her daughter still wasn't terribly social when there was work to do.

Instead she bobbed her head to the grown mares as her daughter cleansed the room of any dark spirits, and couldn't help but give her 'pet' a smile, pleased to see the keen minded, loyal, and driven young stallion was once again a father, this time of three lovely and well developed fillies -- sisters to join the ranks, "It seems the blessings of the Great Mother and the three sisters have all ready blessed us this morning with these three." She smiled at the eldest and most active of the trio, tipping her head as she observed her and her sisters.

The blue filly seemed to be alert and bright eyed, dazzled and awed by shows of beauty. She was energetic and, it seemed, somewhat distract-able, but in a way that was of specific things. Vanmoriel, it seemed, was to take after her father if she kept this path, distracted then absorbed by her projects.

The oracle's attention shifted to the one with the peachy cheeks and the darker brown markings upon them. She was curious but also a bit more dependent on those around her, with beautiful little chirps -- she was likely going to do something social, and if lucky keep that voice as sweet. The spirits would be pleased by such a little songbird in their ranks.

Aylin sorted in amusement at the final one -- slightly thicker than her siblings and sleeping soundly. If it wasn't for the shredded remains of what was once her basket, one would mistake her for a weakest of the three for being so tired. Instead, it seemed the mare was more physical than the other two -- whatever the mare was to become it was not going to be something willowy or low impact, but rather something requiring strength, speed, and energy. Usually the oracle would place such a strong and forceful exit as the basket of a warrior, there was a good chance the girl, with how she had been curled against her more energetic sisters and her female role models and blood, would be something physical but focused within the social aspect of the flock.

Looking up, Aylin met Vanya's eyes before giving a wink and a smile to the mother, letting her know nothing was wrong, And waited for own daughter to finish, "Laveda...? Care to read these three?"

Laveda's head turned rapidly toward them, her heart leaping into her throat with a flicker of a panicked expression on her face, which she quickly managed to cover up, all ready?!

"Y-Yes M-... Oracle Aylin." She cleared her throat, her voice awkward and mumbled around the censer's handle. She lifted her head and walked straight towards them, hopping down easily from the overhanging ledge to where the others gathered. She carefully set the sage filled bone incense burner away from the nest, sitting up to place her arms at either side of the soft grassy form, her claws brushing against the woven blankets.

She moved her attention from filly to filly, trying not to fidget herself. She was just barely three years older than the trio before her, an adult but still rather young. And she thus watched, hoping for some clues to come from them, "They're quite healthy -- the spirits seem to want them to grow up quickly... This one-" She pointed at Vaniania,, "Seems to be the strongest physically, but puts all her energy in it. She'll need to learn her limits so she doesn't exhaust herself. But she'll throw herself into her work with gusto...?"

Unable to help herself, Laveda turned hopefully toward her mother, hoping silently for confirmation.

User Image Aylin nodded silently, her heart swelling in pride, "I saw the same, priestess Laveda."

It seemed her daughter was catching the signs, and cutting to the meat of it as she usually did, went for the hardest first -- a sleeping child was often hardest to read, the spirits often resting with them, sometimes even guarding them. However, while Aylin was positive Laveda had a gift that could lead to her being an oracle, if not her own replacement as The Oracle, she could tell Laveda doubted herself as well, and such doubt could lead the clouding and eventual loss of control -- there were stories of lesser oracles who were prone to uncontrollable fits of sight and having to go to extremes to call upon it at other times. It was hard on the mind and body, and many had been born with the gift but closed themselves up or pushed too hard to fast. And Laveda..

Her sweet Laveda was both gifted but blunt, and the Oracle feared the mare might close herself off and be forced to go to such extremes. How the mare handled this reading would let her mother properly assess the risk.

The young adult let out a soft woosh of air in relief from her lungs where her breath had been trapped, having unconsciously held her breath, I got the hardest one right... But now I just need to hope the spirits don't leave me now..

She then shifted her attention to the young Vanwyn, smiling as she met her eyes, hoping for a sign. Her own voice took a soft sing song quality, her heart somewhat melted by the young foals, "Will you sing for me little sister?"

User Image Aylin's eyes warmed slightly -- Laveda didn't even realize she was on the right path, but she was young still and the spirits where guiding her, and she was relaxing into it, letting them guide her. It was still early, but so far things looked good for her daughter.

Vanwyn blinked at her siblings, watching them with a curious stare. She wanted to nuzzle up to the sleeping one, try and wake her. But at the same time, it seemed like a bad idea. Though so very young, she was also seemingly observant. She knew Vaniania needed her rest, just as much as she herself did. It just so happened that Vanwyn wasn't tired yet. Shifting clumsily on he claws, she moved over toward her other sister, nudging and chirping at her lightly, her small tail feathers puffed up as though to seem bigger. She almost giggled at the thought, before her attention was brought back to the mare that had jumped down to them. Startled, Vanwyn backed up, right into Vanya, before staring at her with wide eyes.

She watched in confusion as the blue maned mare pointed to her sister. Vanwyn tilted her head, letting out small noises to show her confusion, before the adults conversed. What were they talking about, she wondered. She didn't understand much, though she was trying very hard to. Why was the world outside her wicker home so confusing. She wrinkled her nose, before locking her eyes on her father for a moment. She chirped softly in distress, before turning her attention back to the other adults. She moved toward Aylin for a moment, rearing up slightly and let out chirps toward her, before it seemed that Laveda spotted her. Backing up some, Vanwyn whined lightly as if uncertain as to what was going on. It wasn't until the mare talked in a sing song voice did Vanwyn's ears perk, and her attention bounce to a rather excitable one.

The foal picked up on the tune with perked ears. She let out a small noise, before chirping lightly. The chirps matched the patterns and pitches of the sing song voice almost perfectly; a naturally born talent, it seemed. She swayed her tail behind her for a moment, before continuing with the small melody, chirping and whistling away as if it were completely normal. Her claws tapped lightly, though she was uncertain why. Dipping her head, she sniffed at the claws, as though they weren't hers, before looking back up toward Laveda. Vanwyn chirped again, before rearing to try and place her claws on the mare's chest; almost as though she wanted to get closer to the priestess.
