Heartfelt Adventure: Mirage Arena #1 ~~~ Kai vs Sayrike!

There was no dodging the sudden kick, just enough time to turn around and look up the pillar and watch the kick come down on his shoulder with heavy weight. Of course, the fact that it was covered in rock just lessened the blow for the Earth Nobody.

With a smirk, Lexaeus grabbed the leg and raised Kyle up, brought him down, then shot him up into the air, away from the stone pillar, calling his Skysplitter back to his hand and throwing it once more at the assassin, strong and fast as before.

Once the kick landed Kyle realized his mistake. He should have just dropped the stone around him and it probably would have done more damage. In the air, Kyle watched as the weapon returned to Lexaeus' hand and then get thrown at him.

With a twitch of his hand, the earth surrounding his foot flew through the air, dragging Kyle along with it as if he were a ragdoll. After avoiding the throw, the rock around his foot pulled him towards the Nobody and he flew towards Lexaeus. Shortly after he started his 'flight' the rock made a circular motion in the air and proceeded to whip Kyle at the Nobody before dissolving from his foot. His katars out, Kyle intended to pierce the man again, this time with gravity as his aid.

Heh, how foolish was this boy? Lexaeus summoned up the earth, for the first time this fight, only to cover himself in an armor of rock. The breastplate, leggings and grieves, and the gauntlet and arm coverings all smooth, and the same color of the Mesa he drew the earth from.

He took the blow, the armor easily helpful in taking the brunt of the damage. And once again, he reached out and grabbed Kyle, pulling him closer to headbutt him in the face as hard as possible and send him flying from that. Lex was willing to brawl through this fight, if Kyle wanted it that way.

As soon as he was grabbed by the armor covered Nobody, Kyle dismissed a katar and charged magic into his palm then grabbed the arm that held him, shattering the armor covering it using Decimation. He then resummoned his katar and attempted to drive it as far into his arm as it could go, hopefully getting Lexaeus to drop him, as the headbutt was coming closer and closer. Unfortunately, that was not the case. He did hit him, but the headbutt slammed into him and he flew backwards again, his head pounding and he started seeing stars, along with some blood. Things were just not going his way. Damn tank getting healed from earth magic.

Once again, Lexaeus relied on a tried and true tactic. As Kyle started to fly away, the nobody let go, and then summoned his weapon back and let it fly through the air at the assassin again. Truly this was getting boring, but this is how it was to be. Hit, slam away, fling skysplitter.

Out of his still-blurred vision, Kyle saw Skysplitter flying towards him yet again. This was getting ridiculous. He quickly sunk beneath the earth and breathed a sigh of relief as he contemplated his next move.

Moving beneath Lexeaus, Kyle stabbed up at his feet with his katars, hoping to harm the man. He didn't know if Lexaeus could sense things moving beneath the earth or not, but sneak attacks seemed to be his only option.

And then Kyle missed Lex's feet, instead slicing the Nobody straight through the groin. Instant KO, Kyle McKenna wins.

Attack Abilities
Amy: Crippling Bind- Sayrike attempts to ensnare her opponent(s) in a Crystal hold, binding their legs in place and rendering the target immobile.

Anthony: Get Over Here! – Sayrike launches one of his chain spears at her opponent, then pulls an enemy towards her, slamming them with the other gauntlet. (Gauntlets needed)

Joe: Bayamo (Wind Toss) – Creates a gust of wind beneath the enemy and fires them up into the air. Can be used to start an aerial combo, or damage an enemy as they land if they are unable to catch themselves.

Kyla: Flight of Blades- A number of ethereal blades appear and soar at the enemy, attacking furiously for a short amount of time.

Kyle M: Breaking Point- Sayrike rushes forward at an incredible speed to strike the enemy in a weak spot. If successful, it will inflict the Sap status.

Dawn:Sonic Tessen- Sayrike quickly rushes past the target in rapid succession, striking each time with her Tessen. (tessen needed)

Bobbi: Precision Shot- Sayrike aims an arrow specifically at the arms of her target; if it strikes, the arrow has a chance to Disable the opponent. (bow needed)

Mathy: 1000 Needles - Sayrike unleashes a hail of sharp needles. While this skill does minor damage, it is nearly impossible to dodge.

Kyle V: Lancet Strike- Sayrike attempts to strike at the opponent, her arm/leg/spear giving off a translucent green aura (or golden aura, if using Light energy). If she hits, she siphons away a portion of the target's HP and MP on contact. If blocked, only a small portion of MP is stolen, just enough to pay for the cost of the attack. If grappling, the Lancet lasts as long as contact lasts (or as long as Sayrike wants). [(MS+PS)/2] (swallow-spear needed)

Jenny: Old-By altering time, Sayrike can create a simulation of age upon an opponent, lowering all stats by 3.

James: Brier Trap- Sayrike fires a large net made of constricting brier vines. While originally having a large area, the moment the briers come into contact with something, they ensnare the target within less than a moment. May cause Bind.(gun needed)

John: Rend MP- Sayrike strikes the opponent with her fist, somehow attacking their energy directly, essentially damaging their MP.

Dani: Wither- Sayrike charges herself or her chakram with the magic of decay before assaulting her target with a melee strike or a thrown attack; has a chance to cause Sap. (chakrams needed)

Noelle: Portable Hole- Sayrike can drop herself or others into a hole in the earth and move herself/them around underneath the surface

[Kai: Castle Oblivion Corridor]



Character STATS and Profile
The pristine white backdrop of the main hallway corridors of Castle Oblivion became the setting for this upcoming battle. Like a fresh clean canvas the floor and walls were spotless and smooth, so much that the inevitable intrusion of the rippling shadowy vestige of the darkened artist was like a sacrilegious crime. She stood out as boldly from the grey one grey on white on white like a massive black ink blot.
She sat on the lip petal of a ebony lotus like some gothic fairy her face smooth save for the slight upturn of the corner of her mouth. Not yet a smirk, but she was enjoying her little preparation time. Nothing pleased her more than her own creative genius, convinced she was unmistakably superior to her original in every way. Anything Kyla could think up, she could do 10 times better.
Periodically she’s bring a large hefty mug to her lips and sip the fragrant nectar within, a heavily steeped brew which was 2 parts tea and 2 parts black brandy. The relaxing sensation of its flavor rolling down her throat and made her body comfortably warm and her mind more lucid and flexible- inspired.

[Sayrike::Castle Oblivion Corridor]

Kai's words echoed down the hallway as Sayrike emerged from behind one of the pillars at the far end. The place was a bit unnerving--too white, too cold, too sterile. Kai's visage seemed to fit Castle Oblivion perfectly. Advancing slowly toward the Replica, Sayrike answered, "Unfortunately, there is always an enemy within. There is always another side, another hidden desire, another impulse." The soft tapping of her shoes on the stone floor seemed amplified. Sayrike's mask around her eyes made it appear as if she were staring at Kai, unblinking, the white almond-shaped spots giving nothing away.

In reality, the girl was rapidly taking stock of the surroundings. Sayrike had fought alongside Kyla, so she knew of Kai's capabilities. She was at a disadvantage in the corridor, since there was a limited space to move around (as opposed to meeting Kai outside). Sayrike would have to deal with that. A different battle tactic might work better for here...

Sayrike stopped about 15 feet away from Kai. "I'm really not much of a fighter. But I guess it can't be helped, can it?" she asked cordially, wondering if there was a way this altercation could be avoided.
