Harley bowed out, with a figure replacing him in a few minutes. "What do you want," a tall figure stated, cold and curtly. Iced daggers of eyes glared out from the shaded window, and if the air somehow became chilly in this jungle environment, you can bet it was because of him. Why was Toya here in the first place? What could drag someone from more civilized environs, through monster infested jungles, to the stronghold of the most hated group of people on the planet?

Toya held his happiness in seeing the man of the hour appear to him. Just a couple of months ago he was a gennin fighting among his peers in a meaningless battle to show who was more capable than the other. All of it completely pointless. This on the other hand was a completely different playing field. This was the real world and Toya had been learning how to work the mechanics of said world with everyone he met along the way.

The man at the window listened to Toya's spiel, eyes narrowing as he spoke of Kumo gaining enlistment ranks. Kumo had been the UHV's first big win. They won so much that they even 'let' their attacking device be destroyed in their hubris, but that's a tale for another time. "Take this device and plant it where the army is mounting. It will let us determine the truth behind the madness. All doubt will be washed away from your words when this is accomplished." From a slat within the gates, a forearm sized canister rolled out, bounced along the ground, and ending with a gentle bump at Toya's boots. It was solidly black, rang like metal, but sounded as if it were mostly hollow. Other than that description, it didn't feel like anything other than a standard messenger's scroll box, but there must've been something there, otherwise it wouldn't have been given.

A puff of smoke and Captain Harley returned. "Everything's in place," he mumbled, surety in his muted voice. With just the right amount of blood covering his pale skin the White Rose of Sunagakure would return feeling quite pleased with his latest endeavors. The White Rose being a name he made for himself and which was still not officially recognized by anyone other than himself. Upon reaching the gates the boy would not put his hands up like before. Finished with his club sandwich and pink soda, Captain Harley looked like some kind of bloody hobo. Caring not for this more unnatural appearance, he gazed out the shutters as the pale man reappeared, sans cylinder. Reaching over to a small flip switch, Harley popped it up, unlocking a small crevice in the gates. Creaking open ever slightly more, the heavily barred, gigantic steel doors slowly crept apart, revealing Harley as he ran down a set of stairs. When the doors were just far enough to let someone in, they briefly halted for Atsuma, and then began to close once more. "All set, it looks like," the Captain posited, shuffling his hands aside to place them on his hips.

Toya took the gate opening as his queue to enter. The technology in Oto reminded him of The Village Hidden In The Rain that he read about so often. It was his dream to visit the metropolitan village. As his foot steps echoed once he was on the other side of the doors they would close behind him. This was unsettling, but it was too late to hesitate now. Looking around Toya smiled at the cold and dead architecture. "I like this. You guys really know interior decorating." He mocked. Then he looked at Harley and extended his hand. "Atsuma Ket by the way." In the palm of Toya's hand was a very small square piece of paper that was practically unnoticeable in the lighting and against his pale skin.

Is this person going to insult everything he sees, Harley thought, extending a gloved hand. "We didn't make the bulk of this," he responded, grasping Atsuma's hand tightly. Truly, the UHV only conquered and installed their own equipment, and the Oto shinobi prior to them merely repurposed what was here. This location was beyond ancient, even for the residents, but this wasn't common knowledge to the most recent generation.

Toya shook the man's hand with a frim grip. In his studies of the human condition in social environments a firm handshake was a universal sign of maturity, responsibility and just plain manliness. His paper making contact with the glove was all he needed. If the soldier decided to kill Toya at any moment he would find himself in a very tight situation. In regards to the soldiers remark about the village's structure, Toya would say, "well you could've fooled me. Now where is the President? I think I've proven myself to him at this point. With the information I have gathered about the villages I think I can prove myself to be very useful to his cause. Which I am 100% behind!" Toya gave him the most genuine smile he could muster.

There were a myriad of things to be said and thought of, in regards to the strange man's habits and ways of speaking, but alas, now was not the time. "Hmph," Harley responded, pointing the way towards a large, cave-like structure in the middle of the village. "I'll send an escort with you, to the offices over there." Snapping his fingers up high, the Captain received two subordinates, decked out in the usual armor, fatigues, and gear. Coming in from the right, they jostled into place on both sides of Atsuma. "One escort to the offices," Harley commanded, receiving a 'yes sir' in reply.

Toya looked at the cave-like structure and almost laughed at how odd it was compared to the modernish gates they used. Otogakure was an odd place indeed. An odd place for an odd individual such as himself. "My own escort? Wow I really am going place aren't I?" He began talking to the guards as they walked away from Harley. "My mother always did say I had a bright future." That was a lie of course. His mother constantly did everything in her power to keep Toya at her feet. She despised him.

Katherine had showed up at the gates rather quickly, as she only had to stop home to grab a backpack with a change of clothes inside, the same outfit with a few accessory differences, and enough food to hold her over for a few days. Lucky for her, she didn't eat a whole lot so a box of crackers, cheese, and an unopened pack of lunchmeat would do her fine. It fit oddly, this minimalist approach when her choice of clothing was anything but. She gave a wave to Belmaos, one reminiscent of the one handed Alola region greeting.

A deadpan look splashed across Belamos's face at Katherine's wave for him. He noticed she, too, traveled very light. This worked out well for him as this meant she should be able to keep up "We will head straight for Takumi to make our purchases. On the way, there are rumors of a bandit stronghold I would like to look into. Afterwords, we'll stop by Kirigakure on our way back. I have a friend there I would like to visit." Looking past her, he glanced in the direction of the Kage's office "Oh, and send a shadow clone to inform Vivian of our destination. She can meet us later.
