Stratus Spire

"Leave it alone!" The man said.

"Fine!" the girl snapped. "Take care of yourself!" She wiped her hands on her skirt and turned away.

The man grit his teeth and stifled a yell when a dark glow formed around the wound. Bones, muscles, and skin began to form from the bones outward, spreading down the arm.

The girl sensed the magic and turned sharply around. She drew her dagger again and ran at the man, trying to restrain him before he could attack her or do anything else. "What are you?!" she demanded harshly.

The man jumped away from her when she seemingly attacked. The limb finally finished growing back and the magic ceased, "What a violent girl," He commented.

"Who are you talking to?" the girl demanded. Her hand clenched into a fist around her dagger at his comment. She glared frostily at him.

"You, obviously. There's no one else here," The man said sharply, "And you're obviously out to kill me for no reason, so time to go," He said and ran off, towards the stairs to the next floor.

The girl gritted her teeth and ran after the man. He was aggravating her with his strange comments. They made no sense when directed to her! She also needed to set him straight on a few things, so she chased quickly after him.

His speed was incredible. Whenever a monster appeared though, he jumped over it and kicked it in the girl's direction.

"Courteous, aren't we?" the girl muttered, drawing her sword. She sliced through the monsters as they came at her, using their momentum to minimize the amount of work she had to do. She chased after him quickly still.

"Woman, why are you chasing me?" The man demanded as he ran.

"I'm not allowed to come in here too?" the girl retorted. "And I have a name, you know!" She kept attacking the monsters as they came to her.

"That wasn't my question," The man said as he kicked a monster to the ground, killing it with his feet as he went.

"Who said I was chasing you?" the girl snapped as she dodged monsters, trying to catch up with the man.  

[UkyoKuonji2004]

"Then stop chasing me if you're not!" The man demanded.
