Odette wanted to get to know Zindel better. What better way to test his mettle than by a friendly game of volleyball? Odette waited for the ball, quickly reacting when Zindel yelled for her to move left. She dived, narrowly passing it back to Zher teammate. "Don't let your nerves get the best of you!" she warned.

To Sascha's relief, Elidae had him covered. She dove for the ball, which in turn bounced gently back into his range. Fists clenched, Sascha whacked the ball out of the air.

...And directly into the arms of the opposing team. "G'damnit- !" Sascha choked. That was seriously uncool.

"Almost had it!" Ganyma rushed under the ball and set it up for Saige. Hopefully the trajectory would be okay! Whoops, nope. It flew lazily above his head and Ganyma had to backtrack out of the way to get from under the path of the ball.

"Go go go!"

Saigen fell over himself trying to get to the ball, hitting it just barely but not enough to bypass the other team, and beefing it directly after. "Missed it." he stated into the sand.

"Nice shot, kid. You do this often?" Okay, but who was this dude? Luxara jogged her memory. Something about the symbol and the mark on his face. What was it about those that stood out from anyone else she had met?

In the middle of that, she got a wild idea. It was called 'bumping', so why not do it with a hip? She veered at the last second to let the ball bounce off that instead of a limb.

"Kid? If you'll excuse me, I'm at least a full head taller than you, plus horns," Didero replied indignantly.

Almost in response to his sass, Luxara turned so she casually hip-checked the ball in his direction. Flustered, Didero flailed his arms at the ball. Against all odds, it connected and arced back to Luxara. "H-Heads!" Didero added as nearly an afterthought.


BONUS GAINED: Re-do on the next SPIKE

Zindel was very much thankful she'd gotten it in a perfect arc, sailing into his hand. She was pretty good! Zindel readied himself for a hit... And the ball landed square in their hands, deflected. Zindel cursed under his breath, groaning. That was definitely on him.

"Shucks. No worries!" Ganyma called out. He got up and walked over to Saigen, giving him a squeeze on the shoulder after pulling him up. "Still plenty of time left to rack up points."

He walked back to the front of the net and shot the kid a wink over his shoulder. He was ready to bump again!

Cerpin was feeling pumped up from the Bodybuffing event. He wanted to show off even more and what better way than through sports? Spotting a sweet volleyball thing going on, he sauntered on over to check it out. He needed to join a group though. Spotting the sexy yellowblood who'd flirted with him hanging all over a pretty seadweller, he grabbed a ball and strolled over.

"Hey, you ladies up for a game? I thought I'd play the prettiest girls here and well..." He gave them a look up and down before letting out a whistle.

"Yo, we need a fourth to even us out." Cerpin grabbed a tall yellowblooded guy from the crowd and motioned at the net. Buffel didn't really get a choice to say no, the purpleblood was already pulling him towards the familiar sirens.

"Let'ssssssssss go!" He grinned, yanking Lorata by the hand to his side to start playing!

Elidae chimed a sincere laugh. "You almost had it! We'll get them next time!" She encouraged, giving him a smile. "Here we go!" Elidae bumped the ball directly in Sascha's direction.

Odette readied herself to set the ball. She smacked it up, and up, and up! Whoops, she thought to herself. She put a little too much air on that spin. It sailed into the air above her, and fell right back down. "Oops!" she shouted, trying to catch Zindel's attention while also moving out of his way.

"R-right!" Sascha replied, trying to recover some of his usual bravado. He wasn't accustomed to feeling flustered, but he also wasn't accustomed to being so bad at physical challenges. Was he dehydrated? It was an awfully hot night...

Despite Elidae's encouragement and flawless pass, Sascha hit the ball with the odd-edge of his fist. It went back to Elidae. Technically. Generally. Sascha groaned under his breath.

Zindel clapped his hands. It was alright, totally fine, they'd get a hit in somewhere. He was tempted to ask her to do a subtle, ah, breeze or something, but she probably wouldn't do it. Zindel sighed and ran to the ball, managing to hit it but in a weird place. He tried to let her know but, "R-Right!"
