[EVENT] Coming Storms

[Mogami]

Alright, so the grey male knew where to find the missing cub and was willing to tell them. That lessened the need to question the psycho hyena for information - which suited Nkera just fine.

The guard resumed the climb, quickly reaching the top and throwing one of his paws at Scheherazade's head, hoping to knock her light's out. The paw hit the black hyena in the shoulder instead and Nkera was forced to back away from her snapping jaws, failing to stay on the ledge.

Kosuke had questions for Ea, but they'd have to wait for later. That filthy beast on the ledge still had a cub, or knew where the missing cub was. He bunched his muscles, then started climbing up the rocks, determination burning in his gold eyes. Only when he reached the top did he take a swat at the hyena, landing at least one hit. He backed away only to keep his paws safe from her jaws.

Huozin moved to join those climbing the rocks to reach the damned hyena b***h. He was confident in his skill...but perhaps he'd moved too soon. The rocks under him crumbled beneath his weight and sent the red lion tumbling back down without getting in range of the hyena.

He regained his feet easily enough once the tumble was over, but how embarrassing!  

[Whimsical Blue]

Snarling, Morag charged after her father, ignoring the pain as she surged up the incline and lept at the hyena. The weakness in her paw kept her from making the ledge, but satisfaction filled her as she was able to score a hit on the female.

Claws raking, she let herself slide back down the incline, her back paws stopping when they hit the level ground. At this point, she was forced to pause, gingerly shaking out her paw as she caught her breath, red eyes bright and focused.

The situation was fast overtaking Morag's normal self control... the longer the pack of firekin threw their weight around, the less she was thinking and the more just reacting, putting her claws and fangs to use rather than her mind. It was, perhaps, not the best thing to do in her situation.

Alya lunged forward as others did, teeth bared, determined to get a good hit to the damned mutt. She hit the incline of rocks with enough speed to make the climb but, it seemed, had chosen an unfortunate place to try to take the climb. The lioness could feel the rocks crumbling beneath her paws, but tried to press forward anyways. In hindsight, she probably should have dropped while still low to the ground and simply tried again, but her frustration was enough to keep her at it. Instead, she was a good halfway up to the ledge when the rocks gave way and sent the lioness tumbling back to the ground. She snarled, shaking off mud and the wounds to her ego. Well, that was frustrating.

Since at least he was sure Roihu wouldn't kill the hyena, Yayuka thought e might as well help eliminate the threat that was Scheherazade.

Unfortunately, though he did manage to make it up the rocks, the black female was quick to snap at his paws, and losing momentum in the climb, he was unable to go further without going back down for impulse.

Irritated he skittered down and went to stand, once again, near the injure hyena and wait for another opportunity to climb.

Zjarr had had enough of the smirking, snarling hyena. She wanted to wipe that smirk from her mouth and plaster as wide an opening on her belly instead. As others slid back down, the black and white lioness launched herself at the rocky climb. Nimbly she hauled her weight along and gained the level below the canine's ledge. Her momentum was stopped there, however, but it did not stop her from taking advantage of her proximity.

As the hyena snapped and lunged at the numerous attackers, Zjarr rose from below and swiped at that belly she so wanted to tear open. Unsurprisingly she missed, but did get a strong, deep grip on the hyena's powerful hind legs. With a grunt of satisfaction, she jerked towards herself, leaving savage rents in the hide and muscle of the black thigh. Ha, try climbing with that injury! Zjarr was propelled backwards by the force of her claws tearing loose, and she found herself on all fours on the ground level again, grimacing up at the canine with a mixture of pleasure and anger.  

[Andranis]

The dust-red lion let out a snarl, backing away from the hyena. She was snapping at anyone coming too close, and he was loath to put himself in that kind of danger. Hyena jaws broke bones, he didn't want to be crippled because of this one stupid stink-dog! Yet every time he tried to get close... There were her teeth, flashing and trying to grab him.

Nkera waited a few moments as the other Firekin made their attempts at catching the black hyena. She was a slippery one and so far no one seemed to be able to pin her down or knock her out. Again, he moved to attack and while he managed to land another hit on her, the hyena's jaws forced him back once again.

The pale lion snarled viciously, getting ready for his next move.  

[Yin-Bug]

With a snarl Azar started to move and she started to move quickly. She knew exactly what she was aiming for and how she was going to get up there too. She just wanted to make sure to hit the canine and teacher her a lesson. She was hoping to knock the creature down but she couldn't just get to it. She could however get up enough to swipe a paw at the hyena and land a hit.  

[Excited Apathy]

Mkazo stiffened, and for a moment it looked like he might do something regrettable. Control was regained quickly, however, and the barely-audible admission from the wounded hyena went a great deal toward an improvment of mood. "Looks like you get to stay alive then," he told Skall, before whirling to scrabble up the rock face. Claws scraping against stone in an attempt to gain purchase, he managed to get just close enough to swing...and grin fiercely as his claws made bloody contact before his grip gave way.

Nkera finally managed to knock the offending hyena down, much to Yayuka's pleasure He didn't much want to keep on trying to climb up that rock, though he thought that, if he had tried again, he would have done well.

He wrinkled his nose to find the female landing so close to the other hyena. And then he admitted it was a little funny, if not in the laugh-out-loud way.  

[Mimsey]

Cornered by the lions that made it up onto the ledge, and weakened by the blows she had received, Scheherazade finally lost her grip and was flung down to the earth by the force of Nkera's hit. It wasn't an easy fall either. She skidded down and slammed into the hardened desert earth, made all the more rough by the downpour. For a moment, there was a sort of karmatic duality between her crumpled form and Skall's. Then she started to rise.

Her leg had been broken by the fall, but from the look on her face one could have sworn she thought she had the upper-hand. She wheezed for a moment, and then spat. "...what fools..." she panted. It was hard to tell if she was talking to her former comrades or the firekin.

After being tended to by Roihu, Skall wasn't in much of a state to do anything but lay there. Through his bleary vision he could see Scheherazade being circled by the firekin. In the distance, the two foreign looking hyenas seemed to slink off into the shadows. He sighed, and closed his eyes.

Scheherazade didn't move, but her head continued to incline towards those firekin that moved around her. She snarled lowly, but obviously didn't have much wind left in her chest to fully articulate the sound. Maddeningly, she grinned despite it all.

"What was this all about?" Elcca asked.

"I never forget," she said cryptically.

Even though she is surrounded, its clear she hasn't given up the fight. You may try to get information out of her while she still stands.

For each question, roll 1-3. As soon as someone rolls a 3, she will attack the person rolling. The person that rolled the 3 can make the kill.

I will answer all questions 'earned' before the 'bad' roll comes up.

Looking up from his patient, who slipped away with a sigh, hopefully to heal away his coma rather than die, Roihu glared into the eyes of the manic hyena - who had little reason to still be alive, much less standing on broken legs. He walked over to her crumpled form, resisting the equally powerful urges to either snap her leg back into place or snap her neck. Growling low, and not falling upon her like he did with his last interrogation, he got as into her face as possible without risking her snapping jaws. There were two clear questions here. The more important was likely where the missing cub was. But the one that really drove into his curiosity was, "Why? What dark memory brought you here to wreck such havoc?" He stepped back slightly, allowing her to answer before the next lion pressed her with questions.

(Ahah. I thought we needed 5 consecutive hits - I thought we'd never get her lol. XD)

Nkera followed after the black hyena, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction as she hit the ground. As Roihu moved back after asking her a question, the guard moved closer to their injured foe. They already knew Skall could tell them the location of the cub but Nkera could see the advantage of acquiring some information now that she wasn't as much of a threat.

"Are there others like you coming t-...?" he growled his question as he looked down on the hyena with clear disgust but he didn't even have time to finish it. The injured creature lunged at him and Nkera just lost it there. He dodged her attack which was much easier now that the hyena's injuries were impairing her movements and grabbed her by the neck in the same fluid motion. To say Nkera wasn't fond of non-lions was an understatement but she'd managed to push all his buttons as well. Attacking him was simply the final straw. His teeth closed tightly in a deadly grip and he shook his head violent a couple of times, feeling the familiar taste of blood fill his mouth. When he let go, he really didn't expect her to move again and was more concerned about whether or not he was going to be chewed up about this.
