I'm a Springtime Ray of Sunshine! Username: phoenix kiss Kin: Journal Link: journalApplying for: R&D Innovation / Supplier Relevant skills: Wild Growth has a pretty pronounced green thumb (if kimeti had thumbs) and is willing to both grow/test/taste-test new forms of berries/herbs/etc, as well as supply them to Rise & Shine. For a price, of course. Wild Growth is He can grow it, and everything he grows comes taste-tested and quality assured; just don't try and shirk him on the price -- these are quality goods.

I'm a Springtime Ray of Sunshine! Username: Patmos of Endtimes Kin: Journal Link: Journal Entry Applying for: R&D Innovation, Production, Relations Relevant skills: Swiftly Tilting, better known as Tipsy, devotes her life to the invention of fermented fruits and grains into beverages and desserts. As far as she knows, she's the only devoted brewer, but then she comes from a rather remote region. She loves nothing more than to find better methods for the fermentation and brewing process, storing her products, refining them, and testing them on anyone willing to get a little drunk. She is also a fabulous, if sometimes overtly talkative host, very upbeat and inanely spiritual about the drunken state. She adores gossip, and will always actively participate. Tipsy is drunk half the time, and acts it the rest.

I'm a Springtime Ray of Sunshine!Username: Amorpheous Kin: Journal Link: journalApplying for: gatherer Relevant skills: Ember, well, to say she's joining because of natural inclinations towards being in a tribe or being involved in sales would be a terrible, terrible lie. Rather, she just likes to visit Killing Moon (and is distantly fascinated by Left) and if her wanderings bring her to something interesting and she can bring it back for her best friend, all the better. She can hunt, but she's not all that much interested in it, but that doesn't mean Walking on Fire isn't hunting for her and in honor of her and Killing Moon's first meeting, she is inclined towards sending Walking on Fire's kills to Killing Moon with the assumption that it is either eaten or sold. As she becomes more confident, I'm sure she would begin popping in little ads for Rise & Co. in her conversation. Also, if there's ever a feast, she'd make a fantastic silent wait staff. Smoldering Reverie is quiet, solitary and dream lost, she may wander, but her heart will lead her back, often with interesting plants and the occasional kill I'm a Springtime Ray of Sunshine!Username: Amorpheous Kin: Journal Link: journalApplying for: hunter Relevant skills: (*coughs* I'm just chronologically all over the place) But anyhow, Howl is a fantastic hunter, he lives for the hunt and chasing down elusive, quick creatures that might otherwise evade less dedicated hunters. The unfortunate thing is he hunts for the sake of hunting and ends up with more kills than he could possibly eat and therefore, what better use to put them to than to feed other kin? It would be such a waste for him to continue his over-hunting ways. Rush of Wind is a kin-loyal hunter who has little drive to do anything but hunt, he is a connoisseur of the fleet-footed and sure-winged creatures that challenge his ability to chase them down

Killing Moon was currently overseeing the dried fruits section, systematically cataloguing the various fruits they had in stock and making notes on what they were short on. With the change of season, Killing Moon cast his memory back to past years. Figs; that was it. Spring figs always sold well. It would do them good to get onto them quick. And peaches. Peaches in summer would be a must. The various fruits were spread out on carefully on woven grass mats that could easily be pulled together and shifted. Killing Moon walked amongst them, marking the ones that he was finished with and now needed to be moved out of the way. A chicken was darting around and between his legs, clucking happily as she pecked at anything on the ground that looked vaguely edible. “Careful Darling, don’t get yourself stepped on.”

Meanwhile Sunspot had been relegated ‘greeting duties’. She stood at the front of the shop, ready to intercept curious customers, explain what was happening that day and then direct them to the appropriate area. She was full of bright smiles, her chipper ‘hello!’ alerting anyone in the vicinity that somebody new had turned up. It also allowed everyone on staff to give multiple sighs of relief, knowing she was well out of the way and the shop stock was safe from her clumsy hooves.

Meticulous Owl had only recently joined the family of Rise and Co. but was definitely pleased with the time he had already spent there. Working in Productions allowed him to get closer to the secrets that lured him in while working in Research and Development let him test his intelligence by thinking of new ways to improve the tribe's practices. Today, Talon was in the dried fruits section, doing his stock taking job when he noticed Killing Moon, a fellow Productions employee and one of Rise's children. "Oh, hello there Moon. How has your day been?" Talon took a moment to return to counting while he waited for a reply. "Hmm, seems we're a bit low on plums."A ticket for the MANTIS PARTY! Preference List: 1, 2, 3

Wild Growth had long ears where delicacies and fruits and herbs were concerned. Word had reached him about Rise and Shine in his corner of the Swamp, and he'd made the trek to the tribe's territory after a few days spent ruthlessly pruning the very best his own plants had to offer. He wasn't going to visit them carrying substandard product and besmirch his name.
He would stand at the edge of the clearing and watch the kimeti -- a buck and a doe -- take survey of their surroundings, before he was greeted with a chipper "hello!" from the doe. Wild Growth tossed his hair out of his face and approached, stepping carefully to avoid jostling the small pack he carried with him. It had taken him weeks to weave it together, and beyond that, it carried ripe berries and fragile melons.
"Hello," he said, bright eyes turned on the doe, "I'm glad I've found the right place. I'm Wild Growth. I have products."

Spare the locust incident, Rise was a very happy boss. Many seasons had passed since the modest days of basic preservation, and their trade had taken off so well. Livestock was the most recent development he had on his mind, especially as the unflappable Chicken sat by, roosting on top of a warm rock. But food was still plentiful in this weather, and it wasn't quite time to worry about it all just yet. It warmed his rather easily-touched heart that there were even people interested during stock-taking day - there was plenty to do, but everyone was happy, and that's what mattered. He was sure of it. Everything was looking satisfactory. He stood by the rock, and Chicken peered down to groom his tail.

Headlong knelt a bit away from the shopfront, staring at blueberry bushes. He was preparing a long speech about cultivation and relocating different varieties. He was sure, in fact, that these were an early variety, seeing as the buds were starting to arrive. He could not tear himself away...in fact, he couldn't remember when he started obsessing about the berries. Actually, he could. It started when he was following Auntie Fade on a gathering trip and was desperately diving into shrubbery to escape her...sighting the largest, most beautiful berries he had seen. The bushes around were a little different. He was astonished. He went back to watch, observe. He found cross-pollination.It was best to get the most optimal berries nearby, and shrubs that bore fruit at different parts of the season. He thought guiltily about his since-abandoned feelings about categorising the fish species...but maybe he would go back. He couldn't help how he felt...and right now, his heart said berries. Berries berries berries. All his feels.

Smoldering Reverie had set out towards The Killing Moon's shop, for her it would always be his for it was he that she came for, with the intention of slipping through like wind slips through ashes and light slices through trees, to settle Walking on Fire's kill on his family for sometimes the blood clashed with her blood-dreams and it settled strange in her stomach. Sometimes her dreams sated her too fully to allow her to eat and other times it left her feeling cold, broken, burnt in a way that only she could love and cherish. Even then she did not always eat. Killing Moon had been right that very first time they met. Sometimes the cold was not something that could be stolen back from her bones by a meal. That wasn't to say that Walking on Fire couldn't try though, and try the eaglehound did, bringing offerings to her dream bent thoughts.
And so, these kills she saved for The Killing Moon just as that kill that had brought him to her had been saved for Left. It was only fair that son took after mother, though Walking on Fire was less silent, not an echo or a shadow, but a piece of her heart walking beside her, pressing near and scouting ahead when she herself could not bring herself to go any farther, or rather, closer. It got easier and easier as Killing Moon thawed her crushingly, passionately burning heart. And how strange it was that the cold, blood moon on frost of her dreams was what doing what kin her her dreams had once called thawing.
It was that way again, Ember stopped and unable to approach anymore, when the sounds of a huge gathering met her ears. The other times, the dreams had brought her, then the fire, and then dreams again, this time, she had none but herself to push her onward and so she stopped, not yet willing to mingle when there were too many nearby. Not wanting to distract her dearest friend if he was working amongst customers. Seeing this, Walking on Fire tried to urge her forward, nudging her with his nose, his kills swinging against her side, but she had stopped, hoof-settled with her weight deep and low. She was unmovable and so he moved for her.
Eyes bright and crest high, Walking on Fire continued onwards, closer, closer to the place of his birth, the bodies of several kills hanging from his mouth until he was upon them. It was a special day. That he understood, but special how he knew not. He sought first father, though Ember called him different, but found the buck who reared him speaking to another, and then found other one, other burning, other fire, who shared many colors with his mistress and approached. He dropped the kills at his feet before staring at the strange bird that was sitting on a rock, the same but different from the one around Killing Moon as Ember spoke-thought of him.

Above stepped carefully around the fruits the bucks were counting, kicking a rotten one out of the way. She quick stepped over to Rise. "It is a glorious time to be doing this!" The acha made sure to keep a bit of distance not to step on Chicken. She was still new but it was fun. "Do I need to go out and get some more or..." Her voice changed as the fennec came up carrying the fruit she had kicked. "I will just stay here and stock up on what we need." A ticket for the MANTIS PARTY! Preference List: 3, 4, 1, 2

This was it. This was the time. Swiftly Tilting had been preparing for this moment for months, nay, her whole life. Though she had been born far away and lived there a long time too, she'd recently moved to kimeti territory. Why? Well, the massive selection of fruits helped a lot. Also, everyone back home was tired of hangovers. Here, though, was a tribe that would appreciate her trade. Tipsy steeled herself, sober for once, and put her head to the hollowed and plugged up log she had carefully brought here. It looked a little worse for wear, scratched up and trailing tree moss, and it made the most ominous sloshing sound. She braced her hooves and pushed it down towards the bustling kin, through the observers, and right into the thick of things. Just as she was putting it in front of the bustle, her legs got tangled and she fell over full of nervous laughter. A ticket for the MAIN COURSE! Preference List: PBJ!
