Silver was glad of the quiet with the other doe, just trotting slightly down the stream bed with a content air as she looked at the webbing of relatively naked trees about them, and listened to the sounds of the swamp. Her thoughts were interrupted when a splat of mud hit her reflective coat. She paused, looked at the colorful doe, blinked, and smiled.
"Well, we can clean that off when we get there," she said cheerfully. "Which, it's right around this bend if I remember things right."

Well, that went smoother than she expected. The mud highest up on her legs were beginning to harden. Still, the other doe, was shiny. Her nieces and nephews would enjoy Silver. But that was for another adventure. It was much harder herding back live prey. Perhaps she really did need to work on her communication and appearing harmless skillset. With that dawning moment, Doom felt like she was experiencing considerable growth among her own awareness.
But that defining moment of clarity was shortlived. Behold, before them stood the treasure of the day: her oasis.
With nary a look bag, she jumped in, a laugh blooming that took years off of her. Stress fading away, she beckoned the other doe forward.

She was more than glad to follow. The silver doe loved ponds, especially clear ones, especially ones that were deep and cool. And this one was all three. She waded into it again, splashing into the water obligingly as the other motioned for her to join in.
