The boots upon the feet of the more magically inclined brother would twitch and his mind would fill up with beastial instinct for a brief moment. It was almost as if he had been given a type of foresight, a "spidey-sense" of sorts. (XD) His brother was drawn close and the two seemed to leap out of the way of the combined assault. Light blazed around Tor as incarnum flooded his body, infusing him with strength beyond the norm, flooding a point into every last Soulmeld between the two by the extraordinary link between them. [Perfect Meldshaper] Tor's wings drew around them as a second set of Wing Shards flew out and an aura of the color of rusting iron blazed through the air, the pendant around Shar's neck locking into his skin as their defense became absolute. The attack would be thwarted and the two brothers would be very airborn.

With the Wing Shards still darting around the battlefield shadows would be shreded by an eternal flame, and this effect would stay in place until each Wing Shard was destroyed, though at this time they received the same protection as Torment and Shar. The spiked ball had regretably missed, but now began to flow through the area as incarnum, a cloud forming that would only grow with time.

Tor began concentrating on another spell even as the he began to dart high into the air, only further thrown upwards by the force of the explosion, Shar focusing on taking the brunt to not disrupt Tor's concentration. The Phoenix Feather darted out as Shar utilized the Essentia Tor had flooded into him to fire an arrow of extraordinary strength. Both of these now fortified weapons darted out with infinite versatility to the will of the Brothers of Soul, both aimed to spear King through the chest, both linked to Tor and Shar, hidden from sight, sound, and aura, they passed through the air as if they simply weren't there.

The Essentia that had flooded into several soulmelds had indeed been wasted, but the Arcane Focus had been utilized well enough. All around King and Kai the air would seem to grow with heat they could not tap, a pressure of magic in the air flooding their senses. Flames leapt up around them that seemed to be do very little, rising up in two columns around them.

The affects of this new spell would fail to get close enough for King to take heed to it. On his chalk board style vision he saw a pair of white blotchs moving rather quickly towards him. Holding out his a hand, palm up he fortified the two specific points on the sphere where they'd connect, still 10ft from him on all sides. On both points a calculated blast of chaotic energies, synthesisized from his own personal stores would be expelled to meet and negate the on-coming energy. The massive towers of heat would not reach inside the recesses of the sphere, should connection be made the heat would be taken from the air and converted thus widening the sphere.

The sphere would begin to pulsate around him, the opaque black tint becoming a silvery misty film like substance. As it came in contact with the shards small ripples would be created as their energy was absorbed and converted, the shards themselves discarded away from the sphere. Its growth would continue, now 20ft from his body on all sides, he hovered over a 20ft deep crater in the soil. Black electricity began to dance about the inside of the sphere as he drew upon much of his needed energy and focused himself mentally upon the two assailants.

Kai was still nestled in his small niche between both planes, thus he felt none of the changes the spell had in the prime material. He'd yet to emerge back into the prime material but he would soon. Mentally he delved into his stores with the shadow plane, searching for a creature whitty enough to deal with these two. After noting how easily his darkness was dispatched he was in no hurry to come back to the PM alone.

His eyes came upon a juggernaut, seemingly a very large and muscular human with rock like features, and skin and muscles like stone though there were other qualities about him Kai liked, especially his true form. A black pool of darkness would surround this juggernaut and he'd sink into it. In transit between the planes he'd be briefed on the situation and what he'd be doing. Though there was no vocal recognition, the minions of the darkness knew better than to go against Kai's word, for there, he was God.

The juggernaut would appear upon the scene 10ft 575lbs of solid muscle, damn near rock solid. His pitch black body would ripple a bit as it adjusted to the extreme light differential between the shadow plane and the PM. The mental map of King's perception would pop into his head, thus he'd see the attackers, though currently very far off in the sky. A crimson form fitting aura would adorn his figure and blood colored electricity would stream out on all sides, absorbing heat and moisture from the air and translating that into his own usable chaotic energy. His hands were bathed in such an aura, and he continued to gain energy.

The only problem was that the air around King and the heat wouldn't sway under his control, and despite his complete dominance in his sphere of influence the spell seemed to burn not only flesh, but his mind. The sphere would not grow and he would not be able to absorb the energies, neither would be able to. The two projectiles would dart around the point where he had made to block them and drive into his small sphere.

The pressure began to increase around the two brothers as a veritable firestorm began to rage around them the flames turning to a brilliant shade of blue, light blazing from Tor's necklace. [Essentia Point Used] The light they gave off was absolutely amazing, a blinding flash with each ripple of flame that seemed intent on destroying all that was dark and unnatural. These were the flames of Elysium.

Torment seemed to have taken control of the battlefield as a whole, using the willpower of his own deific mind combined with the force of magic and generations of magi before him to create a conflagration that passed beyond the physical, destroying minds and cleansing souls. As King was of the Undead and Kai was infused with Darkness, they'd find themselves trapped in the flame.

The two above would seem to lose their shape as Tor's wings spread out, hiding them in a constantly shifting outline that seemed more like a mass. This confusion would only increase as a cloud seemed to form around them, obscuring them from the sight of King. This cloud had a much greater purpose, however, as would soon be realized.

((Yes, he's burning the influence of King's mind. Unless King feels like being Comatose, he better stop, cause the spell is only going to get stronger as he continues to concentrate. ^_^))

[What substance is this spell made of that keeps it from being absorbed? And Kai is not visible he's not on the prime material plane so they are not in the same spot.]

((>.> Kai, big black juggernaut thing, whatever. Either way, its getting pwnt. Anyhow, its not what the flames are that counts, its how they burn. Its like a human trying to drink molten rock. His influence is trying to absorb it and the flames are burning his mind, aka his influence. Theres four posts worth of charging in the spell (2 real +2 E points), and at lower levels it wouldn't burn like it is, but at higher levels of channeling its made to burn ******** gets in its way. The longer he channels to more bitchin it gets. In a few posts worth it'll be strong enough to burn those immune to heat and flame.))

[But that makes no sense, those immune to heat and flames are immune to all heat and flames regardless to the amount of charging. So too, those who can absorb and convert energy by a means without harming themselves can do so to any and all energy types, regardless of the amount of charging.]

((It goes beyond normal flame, however. You are looking at the spell as if it were a normal flame based attack, where the flames are just a visual medium to describe how it is burning everything in its path, after a certain point. It is indeed flame to begin with, but it transcends that state. Mindblaze was killed by Torment when he utilized this very spell, or a predecessor anyhow.))

[*sighs* here goes nothin.]

Noting he could not absorb these flames, though they were energy based, he would simply disappear. Reappearing high above the battle field, simple spacial manipulations would, allow him to phase shift himself 'pon the coordinate plane of prime materia. High above the battle field and now away from the fire storm a visual indication of the sphere would reform about his body. Though this time there was a soft bluish hue to it, its very essence seemed foggy or unsolid. This was because it was changing form, from the normal barrier/absorbtion field which represented his range of influence within the plane, to a temporally enhanced film. Molecules about his body would speed up their movement exponentially, dialating time around his body and his alone.

To him, visually time would slow, everything appearing in slow motion almost to the point of being rediculous. Once this change was affected 'pon his body, the field would alter colors once more and move away from his body on all sides forming the orb once more. Now it would be an opaque crimson color, and would now show a misty foggy feel still holding with temporal manipulations. Using the energy consumed from earlier to affect both changes the sphere would shrink drastically to just a foot off his body on all sides. Though as proximity heat now rising from the fire storm below would begin to restore the lost energy through absorbtion and conversion. This crimson aura's purpose would be seen soon enough.

Kai, would continue this battle unharmed, though he'd watch as his juggernaut was consumed by the flames and sank back into the depths of the shadow realm. Through out this process he'd been mobilizing the darkness, if you will, to affect a change upon the prime material plane. A large pool of darkness would emanate outwards from the very central point of the firestorm. As the flames licked the darkness their heat would be absorbed expanding this pool at a geometric rate. It would cover the entire battle field at this rate in a moment or so. Thickening and building off itself as it absorbed more heat. Something similiar would begin in the sky, above the brother's and King's head the sky would blacken, light from the sun would be blocked out completely as this area was consumed in darkness. The plane of shadows was flooding into that of prime materia, through many now very open links between the two. To stop this flow one would have to close these links before he could disappate the heavy dark shroud from the sky and ground. It seemed something big was coming, on the part of the Envoy's of Death.

The only problem would be the time dialation effect, which would doom King in ways he couldn't even comprehend. As soon as the time dialation began to take effect the flames, the chain, the arrow, Torment, and Shar seemed to double in speed, if not more. Torment's passive ability to latch onto the fastest flowing time stream (meaning he'd be going the fastest/tied for first) accellerated not only himself, but everything his soul touched. The flames turned from a brilliant blue to pure white in the moment Torment held onto King's time dialation field, focusing twice as much mana as he would have been otherwise and flooding two more units of his overall strength into the 'flames' as they simply ceased giving off heat. [Essentia Point Used] [Essentia Point Used]

The Phoenix Feather and the arrow from the Longbow of Souls had redirected and were upon King in an instant, moving faster that light itself by their connection to the time dialation field, once directed moving too fast for though to calculate. The arrow seemed to glow brighter as Shar poured more of his strength into it. [Smite Attempt Used] A second arrow just as the first would be released, glowing just as brightly. [Essentia Point Used] [Smite Attempt Used]

With the flames no longer giving off heat the pool of shadow would not grow as great as was expected, likely shrinking. The flames had been infused with strength beyond anything Tor could hope to emplace upon them in such a short time.* The 'flames' no longer gave off heat because now they seemed to be bent on simple destruction. The 'flames' destroyed what they touched under the pure essense of destruction, stemming from no particular energy source or element. Destruction was the end of all things, and the end was coming to those at hand. In time the 'flames' would be able to rise up to King, but now they were bent on destroying the pool of shadows before it could even form. Destruction itself seemed to call out, "Disrupt Your Caster!"**

*((8 posts worth of charging now. 2 posts +2 points + 4 from this post of the same configuration because of the Time dialation effect.))

Internally King was amazed, there was so much more to these two then he'd originally accessed. His last recourse would be to die with a purpose, with such arrows gaining on him he would begin the process. First the sphere of influence would expand to around 200 feet beyond his own body on all sides showing every drop of energy within his body including his life force. As it expanded outward it would drive back any physical or energy based object in order to make room for itself. Once reaching its maximum yield his skin would begin to crack, crimson light showing out through these cracks as though something inside was emerging. He closed his eyes and accepted it rather than allowing another to take his life.

As the crimson light grew and grew and his body seemed to be giving way to something bigger, in an all consuming instant he'd explode. To say he exploded is however an extreme understatement. The sphere would rush in on him in his final second and his body would completely disappear, the sphere itself shrinking to about the size of an atom. Then said atom would split in two causing in itself a catastrophic explosion of rather large proportion. A shockwave affect happened immediately, and like a domino effect every single atom in each consecutive blast radius would rupture and split from the on going shockwave. The very essence of chaos was prevalent as this process, though taking seconds to cover miles would eventually... in about 30-45 minutes would encompass Gaia in its entirety, from the ground to the skys. Could the brothers outrun catastrophic hand of god?

Light began to blaze forth from the pair as Torment's wings locked around them and the pendant sealed their cocoon, but this would hardly be enough. [Essentia Point Used] The Longbow of Souls was held at the point where the wings connected, pushing through. Light blazed outward in a single line as the cloud he had gathered began to congregate around the staff. He began pouring his entire will into it, burning up a fair deal of his strength. The Essense of Obelisk was born once more, and with it came pure destruction in kind. An aura of green light surpassed the perception null as the two began an erratic spin. [Incarnum Radiance: Speed] Utilizing the effects of the Crystal Helm to augment the spin the two began to spin at an incredibly rapid rate. [Essentia Point Used] Torment focused upon switching his Soul power center and bind instead the Planar Chausable. The connection between the brothers would be lost, but an escape would seeon be found. Their spin seemed to simply obliterate the matter around them, creating a sort of vaccuum in a sphere around them where the chain reaction could not enter. They would be pushed forth by the explosion striking the reinforced shield, extra points being dropped into it as necessary, but as yet they would survive. They only truly needed a few moments to bind the Chausable and then open a gate to Elysium.

This is Shar's most powerful weapon. By unshaping all his soulmelds and utilizing an Essentia Point, or substituting one smite attempt or two essentia points per soulmeld, he can shape this weapon. It merely obliterates what it touches, simpe as that. Expending an Essentia Point grants him flight. Having this Soulmeld bound increases how wieldly it is and cancels out the need for an Essentia point.

Kai's eyes widened as a good percentage of the battle field, and Gaia itself was reduced to a craterous wasteland, void of most if not all life. His eyes were wide not for the destruction caused but simply because he no longer felt his brother's spirit. Angered to a point beyond describability he moved himself to the prime material plane to face these two head on. From what was left of the black and red sky void of most if not all light from the kicked up dust came a maelstorm of thick black lightening. It struck in many of the same point repeatedly within a small area and a thick black orb materialized from nothingness. As the heavy tint of the orb would soften almost going opaque the form of an extremely pissed rather large and muscular human was seen, though he wouldnt look human for long.

He'd glare up at the two, hatred so thick leaking from his very form it could be cut with a knife. He fed off the darkness from above, the orb about his body disappearing but its influence was still seen. Suddenly he stood within a large crater, rocks and dust seemed to be blown back from him immediately. If raw power had a sound it would be screaming through out this now rather large valley. He held his arms out to the sides and a pillar of darkness came down from the sky above and engulfed him. Then, standard super saiyan style he'd yell allowed, closing his eyes and looking upwards as he'd take on his lycan form.

The pillar of darkness exploded outward to complete the transformation, and he was seen once more flexing his muscles as though will power itself had dispelled the darkness. Beside the appearing differences he'd grown in height and weight, dark black eyes set within a wolven face, and ferocious jaws dripping with raw seathing hatred for the two he would soon devour. The very air would sizzle around him as though this plane was not ready for a being of this magnitude, it seemed to cower in his wake. Space and time if given form would cater to his will within the darkness, the material plane itself almost beckoning him as though a servant to a master. A deep thick ravenous voice that would send chills up the back of some of the bravest beings on earth would echo throughout the area, "its time for you to die."

As the detruction passed and the darkness around the erratic sphere formed by the large destructive blade passed, Tor's wings unfolded. The garment hanging around his neck flares through his Perception Null, the embroidered patterns of a plane far beyond constantly shifting through the air. Slowly the scenes formed into a circle and stretched outwards from his form, swirling faster and faster as it came into its true purpose.

A Gate was opened. [Essentia Point Used] [Essentia Point Used] [Essentia Point Used]

From this gate a single creature emerged. The being was stunning in its physical perfection and blinding in the wrath that burning in its eyes. The Guardinal looked to Tor, who said only little, "Darkness and his Brother create destruction." The Guardinal nodded and looked to the newly transformed Kai. The word that issued forth was both terrible and great, enough in of itself to obliterate armies of demons, "Cascade." A shimmering portal of likeness to the one the Guardinal had emerged from opened next to the great celestial being, a second to match him stepping forth. The strength of their celestial countenance seemed to hold darkness at bay, the aura that surrounded them one of flames that matched Torment's wings. The Host of Elysium was about to spring forth.

Shar, meanwhile, held the massive blade before him, wind rushing in to meet it as the very air around it seemed to simply vanish from existance.

Kai gazed upon the pair of beings that had just emerge from other planes, their spacial coordinating signatures reflected that of celestials, basically Gods. He'd smirk as he looked up to see them, he had alot of anger and stress to release, the more people brought to this party the better. As he stood there darkness seemed to radiate from his being, it leaked from his body, surrounding him first and then expanding forward. It seemed to almost ignore the light of these beings, spreading regardless. This was not simply the absence of light, but matter of this plane being converted into darkness though left in a non solidified state. Darkness spread quickly across the ground once more like a large ocean and he'd disappear from view. The valley appeared to be a large bowl of a murky black liquid, it wouldnt spread upwards yet but this would be an ominous sign to his enemies.

He sat within the darkness pool, gathering himself and formulating a plan, this particular darkness would not be parted so easily as last time. It was pure and untainted by anything, the very catalyst of death held within a large mass, straight from shadow plane. The plane itself adhering to his will and manifesting itself upon the prime material plane to aid him. Here he'd wait, a plan of course had already formulated and was currently in the works even now. Though the table was not quite set yet, it would be soon
