"I'm not dying for a long time yet, little one," Obadias reassured lightly, brushing her hair with a paw, ruffling it like fathers were prone to do. "So the moon will have to wait." He smiled down at his daughter, and she was his daughter, despite the very obvious difference in species. He had never minded that Mihika had cubs by another, because they were still his in spirit.

"How about tomorrow, we go and find that tree, and you can teach me to climb it." Oh he was going to regret that offer. Him climbing trees could only end badly.

He grinned down at his daughter though, wanting to do something fun with her before she grew too big to want to hang out with her father. "But for now, little one," he said, before scooping her up and laying her across his back. "Bed time!" He said, and began to walk into the den, heedless of her protests because it was far too late for little ones to be awake.

He adored his cubs and wanted to be their best friends, but sometimes, he had to be the dad!
