Just making sure, but Are emitters and triggers limited only to clan members of hidden katana?
PostPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 5:40 pm
Anyone can learn a single emitter/trigger, it's clan members/Daimyo that can elarn more than one.

On a similar note, is there any rhyme or reason to sword construction? I have something special planned for Nold's blade...

Reaver- Ah, I see. I was wondering about that. That makes sense.

Most are considered within reason.
You cant go and make a jagged bladed knife as your katana.
And use the basic blade, extended hilt, etc, as the set up. It wouldn't make sense.

Shinobi can make ONE katana, if they don't belong to hidden katana as a clan member.
That katana gets an emitter.

Anyone can make ONE katana with an emitter, and advanced trigger. (I don't know why anyone would use the other trigger.) But Daimyo clan members can make several katana with emitters.

Ok, good, because I only wanted one emitter XD...

Question:
Who leads a Kageless village? Wouldn't the most powerful ninja in the village just sort of be bumped up to Kage. In case of an emergency or something. Would there be an NPC kage? A stand in? How would that work?
PostPosted: Wed Oct 16, 2013 1:34 pm
It's normally the most powerful (Non missing nin) character in the village that will become the stand in Kage when a time is needed for such.

All characters capable are SUPPOSED to defend a village, when their village is in trouble. So the most powerful character would be the one to make the most sense, having as the leader in the time of need.
We're not supposed to do NPC Kage or anything of that nature. Or rather, we've done it once, and it wasn't even by a mod.

Just to make sure, can a villager of Hidden Craftsman learn/acquire all four weapons normally? Or can they only get the others by using the Broadsword techs to take them from someone who died? I'm inclined to say the latter, but it could sort of be perceived either way. 'Once you start to learn a village’s weapon, you may not learn others.' as compared to 'This village only allows the use of one weapon unless you are from Hidden Takumi.'

I have a few questions and some have already been answered.

1. Is there a limit on what and how much gear a character can have?
Drago_the_Blackrose - Kind of but not really? Your gear just can't be ridiculous
a. So would having a crystal sword that is immune to elemental attacks be ok?
Drago_the_Blackrose - There is already a technique to learn how to do a crystal sword I believe. Check out Hidden Wind.
b. I do know of the crystal style, but what i'm talking about is a forged crystal sword. (By liquidizing crystal into the form of a sword.)
Drago_the_Blackrose - The best I can tell you is. Go TO Hidden Katana and use the Two Made ups you get for your the Katana in Hidden Crystal and Make the blade you want it to be. biggrin

2. I there a limit on what your made up jutsu can be?
Drago_the_Blackrose - You get one made up justsu per 15k. So It should be acceptable for your rank to use..
a. ok and how does the point system work?
Drago_the_Blackrose - The chakra system is explaiend in great detail in the Shinobi Handbook.

3. Are made up Kekkai Genkai's acceptable?
Drago_the_Blackrose - No

4. Are jinchūriki acceptable?
Drago_the_Blackrose - We Have them in the guild and they are given out at random.
a. ---no need for another jinchūriki then

5. So what kind of equipment can an academy student possess?

6. I have noticed that with the Hidden Katana Vilage sheathes, that you are missing 1. I forgot the name of it, but it is similar to the leather sheath, but the blade is exposed and the sheath holds onto just the hilt of the sword. It is mainly used for larger swords.

7. Can a member be part of a village but not a clan?

5. Everybody starts with a certain number of kunai, shuriken and windmill shuriken, but you can also start with senbon or any other 'standard' items you want. You are typically considered to somehow carry it all with you, though, so don't go crazy with it.

6. We have far from a complete list of possibilities there, though wiggle room is fine. If you want your leather sheath top instead be a frog, go for it. (I think that's what you meant?)

7. Depends on the village. Usually, if the village has a clan (or more than one) you have to be a member of one. If you absolutely don't want to be a member of a clan, either choose a village without one (there should still be one or two that count here) or ask if you can be a generic member of a certain village. I did the same with my swordswoman, and she's not any weaker than anyone else despite no clan techniques.

6. Do you by chance know that number?

7. Well it was just a suggesttion.

8. I haven't really desided on a village yet but the Village of the Katana seems the most promising so far or that of the Village of the Hidden Craftsmen.

6. The defaults are something like 10 kunai, 30 shuriken and 5 windmill shuriken. But if you want more or less, just include it in your profile. Too many might be hard to carry at a time, though. (And for ease of use, its generally considered that you replace any lost between each battle. Whether by going back and picking them up, or 'buying' new ones.)

7. It could potentially be added if needed. Otherwise just view the words a bit vaguely and interpret them as you need to make it work.

8. Either one of those have good options if you want to be a weapon-using character. Neither require access to any of the three branches of techniques, so you could still be a Genjutsu or Taijutsu specialist while using weapons. Beyond that, Katana means you would have a variety of swords with different abilities, while Carftsman would give you a few weapons and armor. In either case, you could still acquire one from the other village as a matter of course. (A Katana ninja can still learn/acquire one weapon/armor from Craftsman, and a Craftsman ninja can still craft a sword from Katana.)

6. Well i was thinking of using steel wire (about 15-20 feet long) on a retracing device that would connect to up to 5 items.

7. Well my character will not need it.

8. At the moment I have a made up sword and cloche that acts as armor.

6. That should be fine, just mention it in the Weapons section of your profile.

7. Ah, well no worries then.

8. Assuming their abilities get approved, that could work well in either clan. Or even something else completely, since you can visit Katana to make a sword, and visit Craftsman to gain one of their items, no matter who you are. You had mentioned medic-nin before, you could certainly make a Yakushi, then have them go to Katana to make your sword and cloche. (Admittedly, not sure how a silver dish cover would work as armor, but its your choice.)

Topic: Guild Makeover

I checked the villages my characters resided in and they've all been removed ((along with all others except those from one or two people)). Has their information be re-recorded someplace else, and if so, will they be returned to the villages when the reformations are done?
