[ HALLWAY -> SHOWERS -> SUPPLY CLOSET ]
A little bit? That wasn't how this was supposed to go at all! He had to leave before someone found out what he had done, even if he couldn't remember exactly what that was. He had certainly seen its aftermath, and while it was true the only thing he could recall was a strange conversation with his mother, he had to have done something in there, even if he had simply stood idly by and hallucinated while someone else did the stabbing.
Bren wanted to object, but like so many other times in his life, he held his tongue. "The showers. Thank you." He cringed as he shuffled past the Fracs. Why was he thanking the thing?
Once he was safely around the corner, Bren took a deep breath and moved closer to the nearest wall. He worked to slow his breathing, thinking of anything but what he had seen, and as he began to calm, he heard what he would have sworn was running water. Right. Showers.
The boil breathed even easier once he was inside, the vileness of this place drowned out by the white noise of running water. He grabbed no less than three of the provided towels and ducked into a stall, hanging them over the door so they would stay mostly dry. Then he stripped and scrubbed, pulling his underclothes back on once he had washed the blood from his skin. His shirt, pants, and boots were rather ruined, but he might have tried to salvage them anyway had he not remembered the supply closet.
Wrapping a couple of towels around his waist and shoulders, Brenley stuffed his clothing deep into several of the cubbies on the wall before running back to the closet, his belt pouch slung across his chest. The towels were traded for hospital gowns—five of them, three strategically positioned to preserve his modesty and one on each foot. He wasn't particularly prudish, but now was not the time to be running around half naked.
HP: 32/40 Inventory: main floor map, broken chair leg, flashlight, five hospital gowns

kuroopu stretched a hand into the opening left by the missing brick.
Your hand eases into the dark space.
At first, it's only cold. A bone chilling, terrible cold. You begin to feel around, patting blindly for the promised freedom. Then you feel it: a small wisp of air, no stronger than a breath. You pause, fingers frozen in place as if afraid to move. Seconds tick by, and when it doesn't happen again, you resume your search.
Quote: The wall has promised you freedom, but can you find it?
Roll a 1d100, and match your results to the prompts below: 1-40: You continue to feel around blindly, moving as close to the wall as you can in order to cover as much ground. You feel the breath again, this time heavier, and certainly closer. You continue to search. You find nothing, and, eventually, give up. 41-80: Something snorts against your palm, spraying your fingers. You hear a low growl, a sudden shriek, and before you can pull your hand away, you feel a set of teeth sink into your arm. It's just one bite, and a warning shot at best. -5HP. You can hear the creature sniffing, and you decide it best to leave. 81-100: Your fingers tough something furry, and yet terribly slimy. Something on the other side of the wall emits a horrific howl and attacks, tearing into the flesh of your arm. The vicious thing with sharp teeth refuses to let go, and in the struggle you feel something cold and metallic hit the palm of your hand. You grasp it and pull, and the moment you do is the moment the creature lets you go. You fall back into the confinement room, your arm ripped and torn, and in your palm is a key labelled 'E'. You have found your freedom, but at what cost? -10HP. If you find the key, please quote The Escaped. If they key has already been found, please react to the prompt above it (as if you rolled a 41-80). You may only roll once.

[ ROOM B5 ]
"There must be." She agreed with a firm nod. There had to be a purpose behind the arrow leading them here, after all.
Still, Marzena watched warily as Llyrendil stuck his hand through the hole in the wall, only to find... Nothing. At first, there was disappointment, and then she slid up to him and stuck her hand though the hole as well. Maybe she needed to wiggle around slightly or push her fingers further...
She was right. There was something furry there and slightly slimy--
And then Marzena wished she hadn't been right. For the creature had let out a bloodcurdling howl and sunk its teeth deep into her arm. Someone screamed, and it was as she was desperately struggling to pull her arm back out that she realized only moments later that the someone had been her.
The flashlight in her free hand clattered to the floor as she bit down on her lip, and she attempted to blindly punch her way to the creature's submission.
A cold metal surface grazed her hand and without even thinking, she caught hold of it and pulled.
And she fell backwards, her arm released from the jaws of... Whatever that was. She had only what was considered to be minor injuries before; there had been blood on her knuckles yes, but now? The skin of her arm had been ripped into and torn by the struggle, blood flowing freely from her cuts down into the closed fist of her palm.
She shakily pried her own fingers open, to reveal a key labelled E, stained by her own blood. "E." She breathed, still trembling. "Do... you think that means the exit?"

Mathias was basically standing around doing nothing. He had no idea of the plots being driven by the fracs, or that even some of his captive-mates had found keys to an exit. The voice screeched over the PA system, and his ears stood rigid. Somebody was leaving? Really? They could have simply discussed it all! This entire situation disgusted him, but he supposed it didn't really matter to him anyways, as he had already said his piece about staying long before. He searched because it kept him busy, it kept him from thinking too hard...though this place seemed like it was pretty good at reminding him of just who he was on the outside.
The mushrooms, the room where he had tormented Gregory...two sides to one coin. Something, or somebody, to try and leave for while another a reason why he should just stay.
He didn't belong out there. He didn't belong anywhere anymore.
But Jove.....
No, he was spending too much time thinking again. Pushing himself away from the wall, feeling physically better then he ever had since awakening, Mathias wandered over to a door he had seen another boil go through before, though he had missed him coming back out, and had no idea what was on the other side.
Steeling himself, he pushed his way into room B-2.

[ ROOM B5 ]
Marzena's cry of pain made Llyr jump, his hand reaching out to grab her shoulder. "Zena, are you all right?" he asked, his eyes wide with fear, and he tried to pull her back and drag her away, his fingers tight against her arm. It did not good, however, because her arm was still stuck, and then -
- the screaming stopped and then she had pulled her arm out, something metallic shining in her hand. Llyr stared at it and opened his mouth to say something -
- but the overhead system began screeching, a familiar voice echoing in his ears, and Llyr felt a sweeping sense of adrenaline kick in because someone was getting out, someone was leaving them behind without helping any of them, trying to get out on their own -
"I have to go," said Llyr, and scrambled to his feet, pushing away and darting down the hall, the chains around him clinking and his loosely braided hair flying behind him like a kite.

Seussi opened each door, inspected the contents carefully, and read each clipboard.
Each tiny room contained a small machine with one light on top, a strange measuring device along the bottom, and a large latched, closed door in the middle.
The clip boards all read the same thing:
FEAR RETORT INSTRUCTION MANUAL PLEASE WEAR PROPER SAFETY EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO OPERATING THE FEAR RETORT. Failure to comply may result in ///////////////. Step One: Ensure the machine is on. The LIGHT above the machine will be a solid red if the machine is on. If it is not a solid red, pull the lever on the left half of the machine. You will hear the lever click in to place, and there will be two subsequent clicks, and after that you should hear a whirr. The light should now be red. In the event that none of these happen, please put the lever back into the OFF position (the handle towards the ceiling), and try again. If the problem persists, contact //////////// for maintenance. Step Two: Allow the machine time to warm up. This process may take 10-15 minutes to complete. Step Three: Prep the material. Please be advised that this machine can only handle ///////. Anything larger than ////// may jam the machine and render it useless, while anything smaller may not trigger the machine into activating. It may be best to /////// the parts into pieces no bigger than ////// but no smaller than //////. However you do this is up to you, but EEKLES CO advises you to do this in the safest, hygienic way possible! Safety First is our motto! Step Four: Place the material in the machine. Open the front hatch and place the material into the box within. Again, please ensure that the material is no bigger than ////// and no smaller than //////. If you are unsure if the size is within the accepted range, please refer to the ruler on the ////////// of the //////. Once the material is inside, ensure that the door is closed and the latch firmly back in place. Failure to comply will result in /////. The light at the top will be GREEN if all the conditions have been met. Step Five: Activate the machine If the top light is now GREEN, you may proceed. Press the buttons in sequence: ////////////////////////. This will activate the machine. From here, the machine will take care of it! The material inside will be broken down and the machine's internal fans will pump the new, clean FEAR outside. THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING EEKLES CO, THE #1 CHOICE FOR CLEAN, GREEN FEAR!
It seems that all the materials are here, if he would like to try and follow the instructions. Otherwise, he may look elsewhere.
