Today was Flower's last chance to get a free egg breakfast and she was determined to make the most of it. This time she brought her own toppings, to really make this meal amazing. She had a sprig of thyme, a couple of chives, and a few dandelions. She cracked her egg perfectly, all that practice must have really paid off, and topped it with the foliage she had brought and rolled it up into an omelette of sorts. She was so thankful to have learned of the awesomeness of chickens and their eggs during this winter market!

Snapping Crocodile decided to eat away his frustration after the last two booths. He sat down, and smash an egg getting pieces of shell in the egg, which he didn't mind.
He gobbled down his egg and left with two tokens.

04 January 2 to 13: your cracking was abysmal! [1 token] Undertaker had two perfect splits two days in a row, but when the totoma paid her no attention, she felt bummed out.
She picked up today's last free egg and just threw it at the rock, not caring if it was full of shells. When it was over halfway cooked, she packed it up by grasping onto the ends of the banana leaf with her mouth and walked away.

Okay is Wonderful was bouncy today. "Do you have a black leaf?" she couldn't help but ask. "It's just - ooh, if it was black, it'd match me! Together with the egg, of course."
Regardless of the answer, she smacked her egg against the stone eagerly and broke her yolk across the white while it was still frying with a twig and a giggle. It was a bit of a surprise, actually, that she didn't lose any of it. It made a lovely pattern, though, and that meant that the bits of shell didn't matter a whit.

"One last time, boys!" he cheerfully cried, cracked his egg, ate it, and was on his merry way. Eh, he'd just drop by the store for more later.

Fair Hunter was making one last sweep of the grounds, mostly to pick up on whatever food might be left. She stopped by the egg booth and decided to have a crack at it. She was quite pleased with the results!

With such success the last time she tried an egg, Salty Sweet couldn't help but want to try again! She was so excited to learn how to cook the egg, and it had been so delicious~ Who could resist another chance when such yumminess was possible?
Salty Sweet bounded up to the booth with a grin, "I'd love to try again! May I, may I?" Without entirely waiting for an answer, she prepared to grab a banana leaf and get to it.
When she finally was able to give it another go, it was possible that her excitement got to her a bit. The leaf sizzled, she went to crack the egg -- and it was a decent break! But when she moved to drop the egg, another crack opened up and a few more shells than she would have liked fell in. She was able to retrieve the shell bits, though she messed up a bit of the white as she did so. Nonetheless, the egg cooked well, and was just as delicious as she remembered~

14 to 30: your cracking was OK! Maybe bits of shell or lost white, but the yolk is intact. [2 tokens]
Swim to the Moon half-heartedly prances up to the booth, the market was almost over and she was sad it was so. So many booths she'd not tried, but at least she could visit Rise and Shine to trade for eggs when ever she felt like it. That thought put some bounce back in her step.
After settling the leaf on the stone she takes an egg and gives it a slightly harder then needed tap. Whites dribble down onto her hooves before she can get it all over the leaf. At least she didn't get much shell in it, and the yolk didn't break. When the egg is cooked she pulls it from the slab, thanking the buck's and collecting her tokens.

(Weee! 3!) She had been practicing as best she could, and trying her best to perfect this egg cracking business. She had picked up how to cook them pretty easily after being shown. After all, making delicious things was sort of her specialty. But this egg business was driving her mad! So today. Today was the day. She was gonna do it and she was gonna do it RIGHT. When she got her egg, she calmed herself down and... CRACKThe egg split neatly in half and dripped perfectly onto the hot leaf to cook. Her eyes widened and she began to prance around, cheering to herself. She did it! She did it! She managed to crack the egg perfectly! She celebrated long enough for her egg to cook perfectly before pulling it off the hot slab to eat. She was so giddy and pleased with herself that she was giggling as she ate. When she finished, she sought out the kin running this little show. When she had found one, she stared at them a moment. "I want to learn more about cooking eggs so I can make even more delicious foods. Can you help me out?" Maxx D Mix wants to join the mix Rise and shine

" It's been a while," Best said helpfully, watching Wild Green Stones impressively devour his egg willy-nilly. I think someone's definitely had children along the way. There were a few pecked faces, a bit of singed fur, but nothing too dangerous, thankfully. Sorry to disappoint." He nodded a little apologetically. Pull Through stamped his hooves with much approval, and flung a bunch of dried fruit onto the banana leaf. " Well done! that's an awfully pretty egg," he appraised, peering close. " Enjoy your spoils! And visit us again at the store, down near the salt marshes, when the market is over." Lural Yeee for real? Be sure to drop a form in R&S if so! wink Best turned to the bubbly doe and smiled. " Just in time too, with the festivities closing soon." His chest puffed, knowing that this was a crucial moment. " We would love to see you at the store, we've got lots more interesting food there too. Come down to salt marshes near the river - you won't miss us. My father would be happy to see a new face." He smiled at her, kindly and a little awkwardly, his face wasn't quite used to this much smiling.

Maxx D Yes really! I just couldn't figure out how to IC make her take that step. So this was a great way to start! Mix looked at the gray buck with the autumn colored hair as he gave her the weirdest tired smile she had seen at the festival, and she had to try not to laugh, but still snorted a little at the forced smile. "The salt marshes? I know where that is." She felt giddy and happy suddenly. She would have access to all sorts of ingredients that she couldn't get herself now!

Rise and Shine's egg-cracking booth was crowded this morning--it seemed like everyone wanted to get their last delicious eggy breakfast in! Sootstriped was jostled by someone else in the crowd, and his entire egg fell--crack PLOP onto the banana leaf and dribbled out white and broken yolk. He had to carefully lick the fried egg out of the half-shells, when it was done cooking.

Ouch! Mystery messes this round up pretty dang bad. She scoops out the shells and eats her very last egg, savoring the taste as best she could, glad at least it was cooked the whole way through. She chuckled awkwardly and dodged out. Guess being a chef just isn't in her blood! D.
