She was already upset, being in this crowd and loosing in her first booth. Without even realizing it, she ended up next to a food booth. Her stomach growled and she blushed. She was so hungry she didn't realize it until now. Walking up she ordered but wait. Is it a game? To see how well you can crack an egg? That has her shivering in fear and pressure. Oh....she can't take this kind of expectation. She went and cracked her egg and looked at the kin for a verdict. She did good...but not well either. She breathe a sigh of relief. She ate her egg, took her tokens, and left.

30 December 2 to 13: your cracking was abysmal! [1 token]
This all too familiar tiny acha's face is back again. Carefully, she nabs an eggy from the pile and stepped around a lazy well fed chicken to get back to the hot rock.
Undertaker stood near the end and dropped the egg. It was sort of far off from where she wanted to land at and it clumsily cracked in half but not entirely. She panicked and karate chopped the eggshell further in half with her hoof.
It cracked all the way, but now her egg is full of shells! "Ah, no not this again. I had too many days of eggs and shells."
In the end she ate it anyway. A free meal is a free meal. Can't really complain now can she?

Returning to the food booth with the fried eggs, Dream's mouth watered eagerly as she waited in line for her turn, craning her neck to try and get a better look at the roosts, trying to see if she could identify the species or what sort of magic they had done to cook it. The eggs were positively delicious this way, and she was looking forward to learning a little more about them. Once her turn came, she took the egg and gently tapped it before dropping it on the leaf set out for her, picking out the shell pieces with her teeth, trying to shake out more yolk onto the stone griddle, and using the cleaner broken side to try and scoop out a rather large bit of the shell before it cooked int completely. As it cooked, she lifted her head to look at the chickens, then down to look at the fire, her face looking just as grumpy as ever. She just couldn't figure it out on her own. The birds seemed rather fat and plump, more so than the other birds she had seen regularly, tame and unafraid despite being surrounded by predators such as the kin. And the heat radiating from the glowing light was clearly the source, or perhaps it was the salamander beside it, but having never encountered one before she had no idea which came first, the salamander or the flames, and whether or not the two were connected. It seemed like magic, surreal and beautiful, but it only made her more curious, her brow furrowing slightly in interest. Finally she turned her attention to the kins manning the booth, "Excuse me... But.. What sort of birds are those that make such large eggs, and so many that you can just... Give them away?" she sniffed at the air a bit. They looked rather meaty themselves, but a bird that produced so many eggs without need of them themselves was certainly more valuable alive. "And... How did you make this.. Hot Stuff to make the clear stuff in the eggs turn white?" She dipped her head, eyes closing slightly, an effect that made her look pissed off, even though her voice didn't reflect the expression, "If... You don't mind my asking? I've only ever had wild eggs and raw food before."

This time Rob, in a bit of a hurry, managed to get egg, shell, and general mess everywhere.
But at least she still got one fried. She ate the free egg quickly and guiltily.

Whew over time it seems she'd gotten worse. She maintains her okay egg, and is at least proud this time no shells got anywhere! Though it kind of flopped to the side and now the yolk is a little flat. Not quite popped, but very, very close! She fries it up, soaks in the smell of amazing frying egg, and then gobbles it up. "I don't know how I'm going to live without eggs for a while after this event is over," she says cheerily and then concludes she's going to have to pop by the tribe every so often. Or at least bug Starglow about it.

2 to 13: your cracking was abysmal! [1 token] Burdock had smelled the eggs from several booths away and decided she'd gI've it a try. At the very least she'd get a snack out of visiting.
She smacks the egg a little too hard on the slab, losing a good deal of it to the ground before getting the rest on the leaf. Broken yolk and shell mixing with the remaining whites. Still smells tasty though, she thinks as it cooks. When it's done she collects it and her token and finds a quiet spot to eat.

Kept had to wait for the huge crowd around this booth to subside for a bit before even thinking of walking up to them. Even so he was far too jittery to say anything, glancing quickly from kin to kin. Where had they found the salamander? What about these birds?
...and where could he get another egg like this? He watched it crack exquisitely, and picked up the shell very carefully. Why wasn't there a vendor here offering things to carry these newfound treasures in? Now, those would be useful! This leaf was almost too pretty to eat. He had to tell Found all about this!

Blue Blood was an addict. All these eggs had him seriously considering to join the herd. If it meant eggs all the time? He was very very tempted. Cracking his own, he didn't mind anymore how it turned out but-
Eggs forever. He'd really have to think on it.

14 to 30: your cracking was OK! Maybe bits of shell or lost white, but the yolk is intact. [2 tokens Sootstriped taps the egg in his mouth against the cracking rock. Too light! He can tell from the feel of it in his mouth that it hasn't cracked yet. He taps once, twice, more, and-- oh no!The runny liquid egg white and yolk drop out of Soot's mouth as he yelps with surprise. "I crushed it in my mouth!" Indeed, he can taste the strings of raw white left over. But everything on the hot slate sounds okay--he can hear the soft sizzle of the banana leaf, and the louder sizzle of the frying egg. "These smell delicious, Pull Through," the Zikwa says. He sniffs deeply, inhaling the scents of leaf and yolk. When it smells like it couldn't possibly taste any better, he tugs the leaf away. The freshly-fried egg is hot enough to burn his mouth, but too wonderful for Sootstriped to care. He sticks his muzzle in the bananna leaf and chows down, sticky bits of yellow yolk only sticking to his face long enough for him to swipe them off with a tongue.

The Cake Mage of Sheep 14 to 30: your cracking was OK! Maybe bits of shell or lost white, but the yolk is intact. [2 tokens] omg this time with dice yes. Burdock was back to try again, not satisfied with yesterday's horrible failure. This time she lightly taps the egg on the slab, and while she still gets a lot of shell into it, at least she didn't splatter half the whites everywhere. And look at that, her yolk didn't break either!
"Have a good afternoon." she tells the bucks, collecting her egg and tokens and leaving.

31 December 31 to 40: your cracking was awesome! A clean split with a perfect egg. [3 tokens] Carefully this time, she picked up a slightly heavier and rounder egg out of the pile and walked over to the hot rock. Standing in her usual spot, she looked at the buck hosting the booth and back down at the banana leaf. A tiny trickle of saliva seeped out of the corner of her mouth as the egg was wedged between her rows of teeth.
"Ok. go," she said to the egg as she dropped it. A loud crack was heard and... NO SHELLS!
Undertaker widened her eyes, not believing what she did today. A perfect split. Never had she seen a beautiful shell-less egg yolk being sizzled and cooked to perfection.

"Yes, of course I know what I'm doing," said Wild Green Stones, clearly miffed.
He actually did seem to be doing all right: the egg certainly cracked successfully. He made no comment with regards to the presence of shell in his egg.
