[ORP:FIN] The Great Water Balloon War [closed]

"No, your aim just sucks~" Dacj said cheerfully, though a brief shot of fear at the idea she might be deflecting things unconsciously sent her mentally scrambling. No, she wasn't doing anything. Yes, Seth's aim was really that bad. "And I'm helping you now! Goodness, a kraken betrays somebody once, and then that's all you remember..."

Eli offered her a wry smile. "I don't think I'm quite allowed to go all out, that'd be unfair for everyone else." He threw another balloon her way.  

[HyTech - Haevan]

Ducking from the would be dangerous splash he slipped off the roof in a smooth motion and gathered up another water balloon. "Aye, shorts help." He mused thoughtfully itching his chin. Once rearmed he returned to his new favorite position.

"Heh...'ah think eet was my thought." he replied to Dacj as well rather sheepishly granted.

"Hey, just having fun," he replied with an innocent smile. The cheetah Hyte had to arch a brow though as another balloon went flying harmlessly over head.

"Hm, these things aren't very aerodynamic..." elf remarked.

Seth just rolled his eyes.  

[HyTech - Haevan]

Whatever the wolf had further planned was soon defeated by yet another balloon popped. Giving his paws a dirty look he shook his head. "Sometimes 'ah swear." He rolled his eyes, plopping his chin into his palm.

"Hmm?" He laughed watching Seth nearly get beamed. "Aye, eet is fort certain fun."

It was then Haevan's father Leon came from the elevator. Waving at those around him the male gave a long winded over exaggerated sigh. "You have a phone call~" He indicated to the wolf.

Haevan sighed as well at his father. "Work?" He drawled, his scottish accent thick, golden eyes widening. When his father nodded he sighed. "Damn, 'ah was plannin' ta try and at least soak a few more 'ah 'em." He chuckled softly, pouting.  

[Seth_Avi]

"It happens," Seth said with a smile, tossing another balloon the wolf's way. He'd popped a few on himself earlier as well after all. Balloon didn't end up anywhere near the wolf though. Whoops.  

[HyTech - Haevan]

Haevan nodded at the cheetah, rolling his eyes playfully as the balloon exploded harmlessly farm away from him. Lobbing another balloon back in response despite needing to leave he hopped for one more score on his fellow friend.


"Ah do think tho... we should do this again soon." He nodded at Eli. "'n maybe get more people soaked." He laughed, snapping his fingers. Darn, close but no cigar. The throw was just a little off. "Hopefully I'll catch you all soon?" he asked hopeful like, tail flicking side to side.  

[Seth_Avi]

Seth was disappointed to see the wolf leaving again so soon after just getting back, but work had a gift for being a pain like that. "See you later at the apartment then, Haevan," he called to the other as he left. It seemed that the numbers were slowly beginning to dwindle back down again.

"Soon indeed!" Dacj said, waving goodbye with a grin. "Think the beach is the next plan. Plenty of opportunities for soaking!"

"Opportunities indeed," Eli said, taking the chance to throw a balloon at Seth. It completely missed, and the kuppy contemplated using magic on the next one. It was just too humiliating otherwise.

Seth merely sidestepped the throw, not having to do much to avoid it. "Going magicless, eh?" he replied with a smile, picking up another balloon for himself. "This should be interesting then." Of course, considering how terrible his aim had been on most of these shots, it wasn't as if the other would be needing the magical advantage to dodge. Nevertheless, the cheetah Hyte threw the balloon Eli's way.

Oh good, it actually went straight this time. Now to see if the balloon would actually hit it's mark as it looked like it would.

"You could tell?" Eli said, rolling his eyes, and then found himself a target once again--he made to sidestep the balloon, but he had no luck at all, and Seth scored a hit on Eli's shoulder, water splashing the kuppy's glasses and making a good portion of his long blonde hair go wet and stringy. This did not make for a happy magical kuppy.

"Then again, it's a decision I can always choose to reverse," he said mildly, removing his glasses and drying them on a spare bit of dry shirt. He put them back on, then flicked his paw backward and then forward, a balloon following, floating in midair.

"Cheater," Dacj muttered, wondering if she was better off hiding in the pool for now.

"Yes, that is very much true," Seth replied calmly, although his amber eyes never left the floating balloon. Dodging a magically thrown water balloon would be... tricky. Heck, with his luck it'd probably have a homing spell on it or something. "Tossing about without magic is more fun though, right?" Not likely, but he could at least try talking the other out of whatever he was considering.  

[Lord of the Deep]

Sorcha had been lounging by the side lines for a bit, casually picked up a water balloon and while no one was paying her attention walked up behind Eli pegged him full force at close range "Ha! Sneak Attack!!" Sorcha yell triumphantly

Oh. s**t. Not a good way to keep Eli from using his magic right now. All the cheetah Hyte could say to the cow was, "... Why?" Her timing was truly impeccable.

Elf, meanwhile, took to the pool for shelter while no one was looking.

"Once you have magic, you never go back," Eli said with a smirk--just before Sorcha nailed him right in the back of the head, and drenching what little of the kuppy hadn't been soaked before.

"That's it! You know, you've all quite conveniently forgotten just what I can do," Eli said, brow furrowing in concentration...

And then quite suddenly all the balloons on the roof began to levitate, turning slowly in the air. They hovered in place, ominous as a stormcloud.

"Sorry, Sorcha, Seth, you're both doomed," Dacj said, patting Seth on the shoulder in passing before diving for the pool--yes, she'd still be wet, but it was better than what was going to happen to those two. Mena and Missy exchanged glances and headed in with her.

"Nice party--sorry it had to end so soon," Eli said with a overdramatic sigh, making another gesture with his paw--and then ducking down and out of the way as he separated the cloud in two, and every balloon left on the roof pummeled either Sorcha or Seth.

"That had to hurt," Dacj murmured, just barely peeking over the edge of the pool.

Seth didn't need Dacj to tell him that. Their fate was sealed the moment Sorcha's balloon connected with the back of Eli's head. He had considered running, but he knew it would have been utterly useless. Even as a full cheetah he couldn't have outrun magically controlled balloons. Covering what he could of his face with his arms, the cheetah Hyte braced himself for the oncoming impact.

Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow! Why had they filled so many balloons?!?! When it seemed that the onslaught was over, Seth chanced lowering his arms-- only to receive one last balloon smack straight in the face. The cheetah Hyte could easily say that this was the most throughly soaked he had ever been in his entire life. And those balloons smarted quite a bit too. "Well. That was interesting," he remarked calmly, gingerly picking pieces of balloon off of himself. "You're on our team next time, Eli."
