Meet Devotion and Powder Squirrel one of those rare lifemated couples here in the Swamp.


They live in an isolated meadow along with their adopted daughters, kio Wind in the Meadow and acha Water Tiger. As long as they've been together they've longed for children of their own and have enjoyed raising their adopted daughters together. Now after so long the MotherFather has blessed this devoted pair with 3 biological children. Meet the Devoted Squirrels!

Who you're trying for: Twin Girl!
Kin's Name: Lover to Lover (From this song)
Personality: Lover is a bit frivolous, doing really anything she pleases and when she pleases. She isn't a bad lady, at all! She's incredibly sweet, charismatic, and friendly, but she also doesn't really have a worthwhile goal in life. The only thing she really wants is something she's been chattering about since she discovered her parents were mates; being lifemated. She's a romantic, watching her parents as she aged and deciding, loudly, that she too would get what they had. As a result, she's a little too quick to jump the gun on romance, thinking one date or one encounter means they'll be together forever. She's eager to settle down, despite how young she is, and can be rather annoying for her siblings when she chatters on and on about how the recent kin she met is her fated one.

Unfortunately, it never works out, the reason a mixture of how young she is and her inability to be serious. She's still very inexperienced, having a slight temper that turns into sullen frowns and high pitched whining when she doesn't get her way. She can be a jealous soul, too, though she isn't malicious about it, limiting her jealousies to pouts and brief silent treatments. It doesn't help her romantically, though, but age will mature her ability to properly behave in a relationship.

She's spontaneous, probably terrifying her parents through the years. Her favorite thing to say is 'oh oh, look at this!', and then throw herself into something not quite safe for amusement. Climbing old trees, rushing into caves, and leaping off minor waterfalls are just minor examples of what she's done. She loves life, and loves being alive. She wants to experience everything and anything if given the chance.

Lover is loyal, as well. Her family is her spirit and soul. Without them, she'd be nowhere. They are her comfort. She is easily hurt emotionally, and without them she'd be a mess. Lover would do anything for her siblings and parents, becoming a spitting mad monster when witnessing something bad happening to her family. Her temper can flare, becoming verbally aggressive and inserting herself in-front of whoever is being hurt, even going as far as shoving away offenders. She's an emotional soul and is genuinely afraid of losing the family she holds so close.

Lastly, she's a bit vain! Who wouldn't be with that fantastic tail? She loves rushing about, getting in trouble and dirty in the process, but afterwards she'll spend hours grooming her tail. She's a joker, but watch where your hooves go! Touch her tail without her permission and you'll get a very nasty glower from the young lady. Ask, though, and maybe dish a few compliments and she'll probably let you touch.

Concept/Family Background:

• Childhood: As a child, Lover is going to be the type that makes her parents worry. Probably her siblings, too. She was born with a thirst for life, throwing herself into new experiences and disregarding the gentle warnings of those around her. She's the type to only learn through doing, and she'll gain plenty of scars under her brilliant fur as a punishment. It won't bring her down, though, only stopping her long enough to recover before she begins anew.
  
  As a child, she will find a special liking for her twin brother, whether he returns the feelings or not. Being born so identical to another person imprinted deeply on Lover to Lover. He was her other half, and often she'd ask him to join her games and adventures. Being a very physically affectionate kin, you can expect she nuzzled him plenty and tried to sleep against his side as a tiny child.
  
  As for her acha sibling, she was always impressed with their tail! She probably tried to bat it a few times, giggling at any request to stop before serious requests would cause a pout. Being from the same clutch brings a special kind of closeness, and no matter how the acha sibling is, she'd try and drag them into her adventures, too!
  
  Her relationship with Wind in the Meadow was probably, at first, hesitant. Lover, originally, would feel worried that, since she came first, she was loved more. Over a brief time, Lover would realize how utterly ridiculous this is and begin to ask Windy about her life experiences. Lover would be the first to scamper over when Windy visited, pleading for a new story and for Windy to take her out sometime. Windy would become an idol, of sorts, and be the receiver of many curious nuzzles and sleepy cuddles.
  
  Water Tiger however would be the only family-member she'd be nervous around at first. Sensing her siblings jealousy, Lover would feel hurt, perhaps even conflicted, forcing herself to stay away as she tried to figure out what exactly she was doing wrong to cause these feelings.
  
  Her parents? Now her parents are the reason she'll grow up to be obsessed with finding true-love. She ADORES her parents, and you can absolutely tell by how loudly she brags about them. As a child, her tiny little voice will loudly announce to newcomers that her mother is the prettiest, and her father is just the most handsome. She's especially proud of her tail and often will bury herself in Powder's tail as a kid.
  
  
• Teenagehood: As a teenager her relationships won't change with her siblings (unless plotted otherwise). However, she'll begin trying to find her life-partner, stating carelessly each time she met someone cute that they were her destined one. It'll never work, and she'll come home crying plenty, but eventually she'll grow stronger from it and realize that there's not as much as a rush as she thought there was.
  
  Around this time she'll begin to want to explore the world around her, but stay put for her parents.
  
  
• Adulthood: As a full-fledged adult, she's become aware of her looks and inherits a more vain disposition. However, her bubbly and friendly demeanor will not vanish! Her relationships, unless plotted otherwise, will not change, except with Water Lily. By this time she will realize that Water Lily probably was nervous of being replaced and begin to try and seek Lily out more to start a friendship with her adoptive sibling.
  
  For a bit she'll stay home, though her need for love will take her from home. She'll ask her twin and other sibling if they wish to come (she'd MUCH prefer to explore the world with them), but if they don't wish to, that's okay! She'll begin her dating search again, which probably will result in children. Whoops. I would plan for her to meet someone and both of them to believe they're in-love, only to have kids and realize they're too young to commit properly. She'll come crawling back home with the kids and ask for help, raising them with her parents.
  
  The plan is for her to, slowly, grow into a confident and independent kin. I DO want her to find a lifemate, but I also want her to realize she is fine without one, too!

Kin's Name: Eye of the Tiger (based, of course, on the fabulous Survivor song)

Personality: Leaning more towards his mother's spiritual side than his father's nervous energy, Eye of the Tiger is vibrant and full of life and love for all that is around him. He believes everything to be an extraordinary gift, and will go to great lengths to share his enthusiasm for things with other kin. Blessed, both fortunately and unfortunately, with an abundance of energy, Eye can sometimes be a bit overwhelming and sometimes doesn't know when to stop - but he means well, at the very least. This exuberance expands to all things, not just his spiritual side. He has a kind heart and a devoted soul; whatever he puts himself into, whatever he believes and whatever he does, he will put every part of himself into it. Leaving things undone or only doing things with the least amount of effort is definitely not in his mindset.

Concept / Family Background: Eye of the Tiger is That Sibling who doesn't quite know that sometimes enough is enough. That sibling who you love, but who you sometimes wish would stop being so loud all the time, or so enthusiastic or so excited about things when all you want to do is relax. Eye is a mama's boy through and though, but he respects his father a great deal, and would adore his siblings, adopted or otherwise, even if he can be a little bothersome sometimes. He would look up to Windy and try and wheedle his way to Water Tiger's heart through showers of affection and gifts (flowers, food, etc), unless she told him otherwise, show up at everything his siblings did just to encourage and support them throughout their life's endeavors.

Your Name: Sullivan
Who you're trying for: Acha boy
Kin's Name: Hazelnut
Personality: Little Hazelnut may have gotten his mother's lovely coloring, but he is all his father's child when it comes to personality. Having a very squirrely nature, he is also high energy, frisky and curious about EVERYTHING. No bush will be left unexplored, no path unfollowed, and no berry unpicked? He has a perplexing combination of bold curiosity and hesitant timidity that creates quite a scene when he is seen scampering about the meadow. One minute he can be found bounding excitedly up to a wayward meadow creature, the next he may be seen unsuccessfully hiding in a clump of grass, tail whipping around nervously. He will grow to be a fun, energetic, and unpredictable young buck who is an honest caring friend to any who get past his quirks.

Concept/Family Background: The little acha is something of the "runt" of the family, and the twins have a special bond that he does not quite understand. Oh they are friendly enough, and marginal playmates when they are little. But they know each other more than he understands. Wind in the Meadow feels more aloof to him, an adequate helper and caregiver, but hard for him to bond with. Though he is swift, he doesn't have the lust for the wind-in-the-fur feeling she has. He will get along very well with father because they are kindred personalities in some ways. He will only make his mother worry and fret, she will need to mother him a lot I'm sure! But there is one family member, even more than mother and father that he looks up to. He absolutely IDOLIZES Water Tiger. Her hooves walk on water as far as he is concerned. She is the best creature in the whole meadow, and he wants nothing more than to get her attention and be her bestest friend. Even from a small age he scampered after her longingly like a kitten at the heels of an older cat. Always mimicking her, bouncing to keep up with her longer stride, trying to do the things she does... much to her growing consternation. For her, it is bad enough to have new family members to potentially take her spot, but this one, this little acha is a pest! As they get older and she pushes her boundaries to be free, he will push their parents' patience to the limit. Endlessly disappearing to try to follow her anywhere she goes, and moping about when she manages to leave him behind, he will in general make a real nuisance of himself. It may some day come to blows, or perhaps some day she will accept this little brother who loves her so, but for now its harmless big sister worship. And despite her increasing jealousy, annoyance and dislike, nothing could shake his love for the big sister who can do no wrong in his eyes, even if she can't stand him!

Other: I put some plot ideas/ took some liberties in the family background area. If there were future plots, or in general anything that Water Tiger gets up to, it could always be both amusing and (to her) horrifying to have a supremely annoying little brother bumble in at the most inopportune moments ~_^ Following her wherever she goes could lead him into trouble as well.
There could be a lot to explore with him being the odd one out too, if he doesn't have as strong a bond with the twins because they have each other, and the other kids because they are older.

Who you're trying for: Twin Doe
Kin's Name: Beloved
Personality: The darling baby girl of the family, Beloved is observant. She watches everyone and prefers not to take up too much attention herself. She wants everyone to feel as loved and wanted as she does so she often goes out of her way to either make sure others receive the limelight (even if that's just an extra moment with Father and Mother) or sacrifices her time to make sure everyone feels blessed. Extremely shy about conflict, Beloved very submissive to her family members and yet will come out like a lioness possessed should someone else try anything with them.
Concept/Family Background: Beloved fills a different role for each relationship she's in, in the hopes of making the other kin feel as she does: loved. She feels she has the most to do with Water Tiger; she wishes desperately to abate her jealousy and is often overly agreeable in her presence. It'll likely take a united, heavy shove to get the doe to experience the world around her and even then she'll always return to her family.

- A plot to get the doe to venture out into the world on her own, a little bit longer each time.
- Potentially a plot to get her to be more assertive, especially with her siblings, but perhaps most importantly with Water Tiger.

Kin's Name: Fierce Determination
Personality: Like his namesake, once Fierce sets his mind to something, he is determined to see it through. He tends to take things to the extreme, whether it be work or play, so he hates when others do things half-halfheartedly, often chiding them to either do it properly or not at all. As such, if you manage to make a poor first impression in his eyes, he will remember it for a very long time.
However, if one is willing to change/makes an attempt to, he will acknowledge that effort and ease off.
Concept/Family Background: He is not overly fond of his "adopted siblings", and will often try to find faults with them so that he has an excuse to chew them out. On the other hand though, if another were to pick on them or cause them harm, he would be the first to spring into action, even taking on bigger foe in an attempt to protect them.

Fierce will constantly get annoyed with his dad for his squirrelish attitude, and will try to get him to build some backbone. After all, what if something happened to mum? SOMEONE's gotta protect her. Despite being the same species, he sometimes wonder if he is truly Powder's child, since the two are almost polar opposites.

His mother on the other hand, he is quite close with. While he does not share the same enthusiasm she does for the SwampMother, he will join in her daily devotions if asked, only excusing himself if something truly urgent came up.

Other: If by some off-chance I end up winning him, I will warn you beforehand that I won't really rp, or at least, won't be able to as I don't have as much time as before/not super invested. That said, I do kinda like this headcannon I have for him so I'm ALL for plots/drabbles/quick and short rp stuff, so if you don't mind me disappearing for days/being super slow, rps are plausible too.

Persona A sweet but somewhat naive doe who can sometimes come off as a bit selfish as a result.
Concept/Family Background: Obviously inspired by Alice in Wonderland, though I would love to do some concept RP where she develops a little more. Also her brother will play a big role in that as her other half ( and her conscious i.e Cheshire cat).
Twin Name: We're all Mad Here
Other: I would love for them to go on adventures together and experience some crazy things and learn and grow as a pair.
