THE BAR

▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐

The bar itself is decorated for halloween with a gusto which implies that Rep probably started stowing away decorations last year, hung with bunting, artificial skeletons and all sorts of thematic objects. Apparently at some point in the last year he had rescinded his stance on the fact that Halloween should not be celebrated lest it make them stronger to deciding to appropriate it wholesale. This may have coincided with being told by a life hunter he was talking to that by virtue of the bond, the hunters themselves had all their ambient fear production devoured by their weapons.

Regardless it is festive, and on the bar itself are steaming cauldrons filled with various alcoholic (and some non-alcoholic drinks) in a very mad science sort of style, along with a few experimental vials of other drinks courtesy of the life division. Outside the bar, there are lit pumpkins lovingly carved by someone and purchased off island and brought back, lit with candles.

There is SO MUCH CHOCOLATE AND CANDY. Rep loves both so clearly everyone else does, with a large variety of chocolate from around the world.

It's Halloween at the Bull and apparently this time they wanted to go all out.

SPECIAL DRINKS

▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐

These will be added later if I get them sorted out.

GAMES

▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐ ▐

There is a game of pin the head on the skeleton set up a-la pin the tail on the donkey. The subject is blindfolded and spun around before being sent on their way.

1d100

1-10 - You pin the head on one shoulder
11-30 - It’s MILES OFF. Where were you going?
31-40 - You trip and fall, roll again to see if you recover
41-60 - You pin it on a leg
61-80 - You pin it on his hips
81-90 - Close but no cigar, he’s got his head on his chest.
90-100 - Success! You manage to pin the head on the skeleton, collect your prize, a free drink and a choice from the merchandise table

Karaoke

The kareoke machine is full of pretty much every halloween song one could hope for. There is just a no two monster mash in a row policy in place for the good of everyone.

COSTUMES

For once in his life, Rep was pleased with himself. He had helped to create something and in doing so had avoided thinking too hard about the things which at the moment were making him miserable, now he was surrounded by the fruits of his labour and was ready for a night where he could skip worrying about things and just relax, get drunk and dress up.

Speaking of dressing up, he was dressed for Halloween as a fallen angel, an outfit courtesy of Tracey who had provided him with plenty of advice about what the correct contact lenses were, the correct complexion and wig were and had even helped him do his makeup for it - though he'd never admit that he was wearing any at all. He had a dramatic cape on, with six handmade (and admittedly small) but stylised wings on

He had his feet up at the bar, the music was playing and all he needed to do was wait to see who arrived.

Al arrived what he considered to be fairly early, donning a pair of black floppy dog ears and a long shaggy tail. He was also wearing Nuru's collar around his neck for once, thankfully the totem was adjustable and was actually surprisingly comfortable.

Spotting Rep he smiled, "Hey. I decided to dress up I guess. Might as well get in the spirit if I'm going to be serving spirits." Yes he just went there and even waggled his eyebrows for emphasis.

Somewhere in the back of the bar, slouched on a table and looking as though he was fast asleep with his head on his arms, was October. Except he was wearing (along with his bandanna, still covering his mouth and chin) a baggy, fluffy costume, the hood pulled up over his hair.

It was somewhat unclear how he'd gotten there in the first place.

Al got a very nonplussed look from Rep for his terrible pun but it was the season so he couldn't rightly get angry. "You look good in a collar" he said with a smirk. He still felt self concious without his beard and without much else on other than some strategic black fabric but still felt fortunate he hadn't tried to dress as Traceys true form, the mental flashes of which had disturbed him quite a bit.

"At least you are well versed in fetch even if you suck at it"

Sin hadn't gone all out for Halloween, but he was recognizable. He was dressed in a regular white t-shirt, dark coat with a fur trim on its hoods and bottom, with dark pants, a pair of wolf ears, and a collar around his neck. Whatever wolf you wanted to think he was -- whether it be from Red Riding Hood, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, or whatever.

Seriously, the idea of the entire party was too fun to pass up. And it had drinks, of course. He stopped right before reaching October, under the misconception that it was a fluffy panda from the back. "Tch." He gave a disappointed look at the side, seeing it was a skeleton sleeping. This dude.. was always asleep. Not that Sin cared about that fact as much as he wasn't a fluffy panda.

Where were all the cute girls? At least they would have fluffy outfits... well, actually considering the various personalities of Deus, even that was in the air. He really shouldn't get his hopes up..

"As long as no one tries to put a leash on this-" he suddenly caught himself off mid-speech and mid-stride. The closer he got, the more he realized something was different, something was wrong. Rep's costume was awesome and pretty accurate... Accuracy is what kept him from noticing right away... and as soon as his brain managed to articulate what it was, he suddenly gasped - very loudly. Then turned pink when he realized that gasp hadn't been in his head. Then looked at his shoes. Hello shoes. He shuffled the rest of the way behind the bar and looked for his apron. He wasn't going to even mention the elephant in the room - well - more accurately the elephant missing from the room.

The last two years Matt had passed on attending any sort of Halloween festivities, mostly because he wasn’t really in the mood to celebrate. This year he figured he would at least go to the bar, at least sit, have a drink even if that involved being in the corner.

He was dressed in a ripped suit, mostly due to the courtesy of another hunter that had so kindly ruined it during a spar. There was of course fake blood dabbled in places, a rather accurate looking wound around his neck, some dirt in places, and a nametag stuck on the coat pocket with the words “Hello my name is… Deadman.”

Deadman walking.

It was a terrible joke, but he didn’t worry about it as he took a seat at one of the empty table with a scotch on the rocks in hand.

Ever had never been the kind of guy to be prepared when halloween came around; had never bought his costume in advance or, really, prepared for it at all. In fact, this year, he'd forgotten about the holiday entirely until someone had showed up in Life labs with candy, and he'd paused to actually look at the date.

The result wasn't much of a costume, but it would at least make an impression. A pair of Jack O'Lantern boxers that he'd, well, just so happened to have anyway, along with two other festive options which had been vetoed in favor of little black smiley faces.

Those were his costume. The boxers, and nothing else.

At least he wasn't going to be cold, here on the island, poking his head into the Bull to see who else had showed up for the festivities. His expression was bright and, apparently, completely without shame or worry. Not even the nasty hooking scar across his stomach on the right side made Ever cringe now.

He grinned at the crowd, and slid in slowly in search of a drink.

It was Kyle's very first Halloween on the island. He didn't have any specific plans for the evening so he figured that he might as well head down to the bar that was run by two of their own hunters to grab a drink, unwind and check out the festivities while he was at it. He arrived at the Bull dressed as a vampire. His own outfit made up of a black cape, a tuxedo shirt, crimson suit vest and a pair of black dress pants. He also had his hair slicked back and a set of fake vampire fangs though he drew the line at complementing his costume with fake blood and makeup lest he made a mess of it.

Grabbing a shot of kahlua on the rocks from the counter, he made his way across the room to one of the tables in the far corner. He hadn't really spotted anyone he knew yet. But he wasn't opposed to spending the rest of the evening doing some people watching if things really came to that. Seeing that the table was already taken by a lone figure, he approached the other man with his drink, smiling as he gestured to one of the empty seats that was next to him.

"Don't suppose that this seat's taken or reserved for your date?"

It was the Halloween night! A few days ago, Rep had posted on twitter that he will be holding a party at the bar. She immediately planned for what she needed for her costume and applied for a one-day leave to buy all the stuff she needed. Shu imagined it would feel like a small cosplay party. Whenever she was on duty, she threw her partner a lot of questions like the texture of his furs, the accessories on his body and the pattern of the scarf.

Finally, after some work, her costume was ready. Thus, in her costume, she arrived at the bar when the moon went up. "Rawrrrrrrr! Trick or treat!" She raised up her hands and made a pose that resembled stand-up bear at Rep. "Thank you for holding the party!" said the petite Asian in a fluffy faux fur hoodie too big for her size. Then she paused and stared at the wings of his fallen angel outfit with wide unblinking eyes. "Wow!" those eyes are really cool, right Z? <Whatever. You look like a monkey.> She gave a look at the man and Al, "You've a guest, I'll talk to you later then." And the fluffy monster bounced away.

On her way, she saw a white haired man that she knew. He was only wearing a pair of festive boxers, Shu used the fluffy sleeve that was too long and covered her hand to brush across his back at waist position. When he turned around, she said "smile" and grinned while took a photo with her phone.

Where's her next target? She turned her head around and spotted someone who seemed to be already drunken. She poked him with her fluffy hand besides him, "Heyyyyy, are you okay?" He didn't answer or sit up, it was just the beginning of the party, he would miss a lot. Pouting, she looked around and saw another person she knew.

"Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!" She called with a bright smile and beckoned the tall hunter she just met earlier. Shu had her eyes on the fluffy wolf ears even she knew they were fake. "Come hereeeeee" The little fluffy monster waved delightfully.

Inside the fluffy hoodie, she was wearing a Chinese style lolita dress, dark colors with lovable pink hook-and-eye and decorations, together with a beautiful galaxy patterned scarf she borrowed from Mimsy. Her calves were wrapped in fluffy faux fur leg warmer and her hair was adorned with Chinese style tassels. Shu had picked a pair of contact lenses as well, instead of the usual warm honey colors, her eyes were in neon blue.

She guessed Mimsy and Robert will arrive later, and might be some other friends as well. She sent them a short quick text message.

Nothing Yet
Text to Mimsy:
Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeen Robert and Mimsy! RAWRRRRRRRRRR! ( =①ω①=)
Are you two coming to the bar partyyyyyyy? (There were many pumpkins and bats and halloween icons tha stuffed the supposed to be short message)

It had been something they'd planned some time before Halloween - hell, before all the awful things that went down - to wear matching costumes. Andy, having not been smacked in the face with painful experience after painful experience, had completed his punk Peter Pan look. He also knew that Peyton had gotten her Punkerbelle outfit mostly done....and since Rep was hosting a party, he wasn't about to let this go to waste.

She'll come, I know she will.

Rex made an encouraging whine, mental tail wagging - he liked Peyton well enough, but she made his Boy sad and that wasn't good. She also made his Boy happy (and a few other things) which were also good, so Rex would approve.

With a determined look, he'd gone to collect Peyton from her dorm - and it had taken sweet-talk, bribery, puppy-eyes, and even threats to get her dressed and out. "So help me I will carry you out naked if I have to." Andy had tried being imposing but she'd just given him a look telling him just how silly he was to think he could do anything she didn't want him to...but she'd finally agreed, too.

So an extremely smug Andy Pan had his little Punkerbelle at his side as they strolled into Rep's Halloween party. "You look amazing, you really do. Thanks for coming, Pey."

Mostly done, in this case, meant the usual little green dress the fairy was known for wearing, with the addition of black fishnet sleeves, and a pair of heels that put her at about Andy's collar bone. The pink in her hair helped the look along, but that was a happy coincidence, rather than any additional planning on Peyton's part. Her effort for the evening had extended to a touch of heavier makeup, but that was considerably more than she'd intended, given she hadn't planned on going at all.

But Andy, she was finding, was hard to say no to. Honestly, at this point Peyton wasn't sure why he continued to try. She didn't make it easy on him. He ad to be frustrated.

Maybe it was that persistence that had her finally agreeing to go to the party. Maybe it was something more. Regardless of why, she found herself walking through the doors of the Bull. She was holding Andy's hand with a tightness that bordered on desperation, and there was tightness around heavily lined eyes, but she was there and that had to count for something.

The compliment tugged at her attention, head her leaning her head towards him before looking up to meet those earnest eyes. She wanted to argue, because she really didn't agree, but Warrick made a sudden rumble in her mind and she let it go. Instead she twitched her lips up into a half smile she hoped was at least a little convincing. "Thank you."

She wanted a drink. Something to dull the edges, just a bit. Make it all easier to take in and deal with.

Pale eyes twitched the the bar, but she didn't leave Andy's side. Unwilling to loose her anchor at the moment. She was going from almost complete solitude, and diving straight into a party. It seemed like such a bad idea.

Peyton did frustrate him, but mostly because he wanted to help her and be there for her so much...and she swayed back and forth a lot; sometimes she would accept him and others she all but shoved him away. But he was persistent and also cared for her very much, so he persevered . Peyton wasn't going to have an easy time of getting rid of Andrew Miller!

He didn't even mind that she had a death-grip on his hand and was practically cutting off his circulation with it - Peyton was surprisingly strong for her size! - because he was just happy she'd agreed to come out.

Peyton's eyes sought the bar and Andy caught it, "You wanna get a drink, Pey?" he queried, dipping his head down so he could keep his voice for her alone. "We could get one, say hi to Rep." Rep who didn't really know him, but whom he had some knowledge of, thanks to Jordy. Rep, the big, intimidating guy behind the bar.

She finished with her mission just in time to find a costume for a party that she was going to be late for. Since she was sure everyone had a nice costume and she didn't have the time to put together her female version of Draex, she opted for good 'ol Star wars. Mercy prayed that no one would try to card her since she was nineteen and clearly under age. Walking in to the bar donning her storm trooper costume, she looked around for a familiar face.

This was going to feel awkward for her real quickly.
