[PRP]This Thing Called Parents [Sidron/Amy]

She had to admit that she was rather nervous. Amy checked herself about fifteen times in her mirror, and yes she counted, with this being the sixteenth time. She wanted to make sure she made a great impression, but what if they dont like her? What if his parents convince him to break up with her because she wasnt a dragon of some sort? What if it was because she wasnt pretty or what if it was because they thought she was going to eat their son? Jack she didnt know if she could do this right now...

Her vines were shaking, channeling her nervousness like a radio signal. Oh she couldnt breathe!!! Amy tried to take deep calming breaths lest she worry the huge boil on her bed, giving him a shaky smile, wwringing her hands while the pounding in her chest managed to calm some. Maybe she should check her hair again? This dress was appropriate yes? Didnt show too much leg? Was her chest covered? Yes. Maybe she could braid her hair better? Amy's hands made their way to her braid, getting ready to take it out again.

Sidron laid on Amy's bed with his head propped up with his hand, elbow leaving a deep impression into the mattress. He had donned the same clothes and armor that he had worn the day he left the village. It was traditional anyhow.

Orange eyes were lidded half way as he watched the ghoul check herself for what seemed like the hundreth time. Change her outfit and her hair and check herself again. By the time she was even a little bit satisfied it would be dark. "You look fine."

Of course he would say she looked okay. He wasnt the one about to get ripped apart by her boilfriend's parents. Amy sighed and put her hand down, vines wrapping around her waist securely. She always wanted to go to Miasma village but for a reason a lot less nerve-wracking than this. She checked herself once more time, poking at her rear with a sigh. Ugh, of all the times to take after her aunt...

"Well, ready when you are. Hopefully Ill make it out of this alive and with my emotions intact."

Well, he could guarantee the make it out alive part. As for the emotions part well....Sidron had warned her that his mother was rather rough around the edges and his grandmother too. Though grandmother had softened just a tiny bit in her old age.

Rolling off the side of the bed he stood heading for the door. "Alright lets go before it gets too late. I don't really trust that bus in the dark." He gave his clothes a slight adjustment before stepping through the door.

Okay it was go time! Amy patted her cheeks lightly before stepping out with Sid through the door, her vine instanty wrapping itself around his tail while she shyly grabbed his hand. They're not really the most outgoing couple when it came to romance in public, but she decided to break that small rule just this once. "Y-Yeah sure. Dont we have ten minutes till it arrives though?" If anything, she wished they could just fly there, but that would be too much for Sid to carry her for miles...

Ugh, she wished she had wings.

Leading her out of the dorms and through the school courtyard, they eventually found themselves at the bus stop not too far from the front gates of the school. His tail wrapping itself around her vine. Sidron could tell she was nervous but who wouldn't be? His family wasn't quite....well...he wouldn't really subject anyone to meeting them but his mother would have a fit if he didn't bring Amy for her to check out.

Glancing at the clock a top an iron post he merely shrugged. Giving her hand a small squeeze in reassurance. "I'd rather be a little early for the bus then late and have to run it down. And the next one for the village doesn't come till tomorrow." Apparently the bus to and from the village wasn't as frequent as those that stayed in town. It was quit inconvenient and annoying.

She took a couple more breaths while trying to realx some, laying her head on his arm while they waited. She was glad it wasnt overly cold since she forgot to bring the nice jacket she made a week earlier. "I can see where youre coming from...Wait, why is it early?" She squeaked out the last bit, cursing her luck. Ugh, why couldnt the bus be late or on time? It just HAD to be early...As much as she was sure she had one, if not the loyalest boilfriend for fifty miles, she was abit...Insecure. She did note some of the stares Sid got from alot of the other ghouls around school, and it made her think twice about some things.

What if some saucy ghould managed to steal him away? She wasnt a fighter since she preferred to talk things out with people and she didnt remeber alot whenever she did fight so she just wasnt...Ugh this parents thing made her question her existance...

"Youre....Happy with me right? I mean, its okay if youre not but erm...."

Her vines were starting to shake again

Glancing down the street, he could make out the bus as it trudged along towards them. Good, at least they would make it onto the bus. Walking really wasn't much of an option and flying would be too tiresome. His family was expecting them today and any delay might garner some repercussions. Punctuality was something that had been driven into his brain from an early age.

Never make a dragon wait.

His head spun back around to look at her. Furrowing his eyebrows at her question. How could she think he was not? "Of course I am. Now stop talking like that." The bus pulled up to the curb, the door sliding open. Sidron waited for her to get on before he would make his way onto the bus as well.

She sighed and smiled to herself as she got on the bus, looking for a seat by the window. It was relatively empty save for some creeple here and there. Yep, she was quite the lucky ghoul it seems. When she found the seat she wanted, she frowned. Not alot of room it seems. "How did you make it all the way from the village to halloween with these uncomfortable seats? Er...I could sit over there if you want?" Or I could sit on your lap?

No way she was voicing that one out loud...Her face burned red and she moved to go sit on the edge of another seat while waitin gfor him to sit down. She wanted to look out the window to see the sights since she's never been anywhere outside of Halloween except to home and back.

Paying their fair, he moved towards the seat. Giving a light shrug. "Its not too bad when you kind of ignore the cramped space." It was a good thing he wasn't claustrophobic. His lips pulled into a tight line as she moved seats. "If you want to look out the window go a head. I'll sit closer to the isle so I don't take up too much of the seat." Sidron had no interest in looking out the window. He'd pretty much seen the scenery before.

Shoot, on the one class he had gotten squished into one seat with two other students. One just as large as he was. The bus began to lurch forward as it set off on it's destination towards the village.

Amy didnt like the look on his face so she decided to go with what she was originally thinking, getting up and sitting on his lap instead, an apologetic kiss to his cheek while she looked out the window as the bus started moving. "There~ We can both have what we want mmmm?" Her vine moved to wrap its self around his tail again and she leaned back, relaxing slightly and playing with his hands. She didnt know how long this ride would be but she would take advantage and try to get her composure.

He didn't mind her sitting in his lap. Honestly it made things a bit easier and if people wanted to give them looks well they could shove it. "Works for me." Wiggling his fingers slightly as she played with his hands.

The bus weaved along a curvy path, heading up into the mountains. A thick forest began to spring up along the road, the air chilled just a bit as a light fog clung to the air outside. Sidron leaned back into the seat, placing an arm around Amy so she wasn't suddenly bumped off his lap from the bus' jerking and jolting.

A few hours had passed and eventually the road began to smooth out. The shadow of buildings in the distance began to appear as the bus drew closer and closer to the village. Then all of a sudden it stopped. If there had been a driver he probably would have told them to get off the bus but this bus pretty much drove itself.

Honestly she's never felt more relaxed than now really. Amy turned her head towards the window, taking in the sights as the bus continued to drive, sizing up her hands in comparison to Sids. She was amazed at how big his hands were, but then again he was a big boil so that shouldve made sense to her. Amy soon found herself getting a bit sleepy so she closed her eyes just before they were heading into the mountains, holding his hand even in her sleep, which was rudely interrupted when the bus started jerking and jolting.

She was having a good dream too...Well she could always write it down later when they came back to the school.

Now wide awake, she wasted no time sitting up to look outside, admiring al tha tshe could see. "Amazing~" When the bus came to a stop, her vines were shaking once more despite her calm appearance. She could do this! "Make a good impression Amy, dont Jack it up...." She mumbled.

It was actually kind of pleasant being home. A place that was familiar to him since birth. "Its better on the outside of the window." Sidron slid out of the seat, letting her gain her footing before he headed towards the door of the bus. It slid open and the dragon stepped outside. Taking in a deep breath, the air had a tinge of chill to it. But that was understandable. It was getting into the winter season. Snow had probably already fallen on the mountain.

He turned to the bus, offering his hand to assist her in stepping down. "We can look around the village for a bit if you want. Though we do have a bit of a walk still to get to the clan home." He jerked his chin over towards a looming mountain. Obscurity Peak.

She slid off of his lap, waiting till she was steady, walking off the bus with semi-wide eyes. It was really pretty around here....At the meantion of exploring the village, She was so tempted to say yes, to stall just a bit more. But she was a flower dang it! She wasn't a seed anymore, she could face her boilfriends parents yup. So she shook her head, smiling. "Maybe after? Let's go see your parents..."
