	Curses. She was growing too overconfident and comfortable, regardless of the fact she was a borclu. She hadn't quite noticed the Qyrhyeshti until they were too close, and suddenly it was time to attack. I'm going to win my freedom, Ooljee told herself. I am going to be seen as a full-fledged member now. I just have to win this, and hope everyone else draws from the same strength and defends our territory. And with those thoughts, she threw herself into battle at the first Qyrhyeshti she saw. HP: 10/10 Quote: Fight Mechanics: ((putting this here to help me keep it straight @@; )) Both combatants roll, and whoever has the higher roll does the damage for that turn. Damage is determined by the difference between the rolls, as follows: 0: Dodged/Missed, no damage 1-2: Light Hit, -1 HP 3-6: Medium Hit, -2 HP 7-9: Hard Hit, -3 HP Each combatant begins with 10 HP (adolescent fighters get 8 HP). The first to reach 0 will be forced to retreat (or die, but you probably don't want that xP). In battles with more than one combatant on each side, players will be put into randomized (except by request for IC reasons) pairs to fight, and whichever side has the most winners wins the battle. If the number of winners is the same on both sides, the winners will be paired off with each other (their HP does not reset from the previous fight), and the outcome of those battles will determine the winner.

	His stomach felt as if hot sand had wormed it's way into his guts. Olu needed this fight as strongly as he felt the need for air itself. He burned for it, ached for the flesh and fur of a Burkuteshti between his claws. It's why he had ventured so far; for the glory of battle and the Qyrhyesti. When the fighting began around him Olu waited, finding a target that hadn't been taken by his kin. He was almost too eager to see one had found him out instead! With a special hatred in his heart for females, after what his own mate had done to him, he went at her with full force. Even for their normally small kind he was a brute, and with his claws exposed she would get a tough fight from him! HP: 10/10 Safaia

	Ooljee fought down a feeling of intimidation when she realized the power that was behind her opponent. She tensed up her muscles and drew a swipe at him, barely getting him at all. At least she was unscathed....so far. Her worries were building in her gut, and to finally face an actual battle was more chaotic than she realized. HP: 10/10 Painted Moose

	Olu took a small hit that wasn't worthy of real concern, but it bothered him none the less. She had yet to be touched, so it put him on edge. The large male danced and dodged, careful to avoid attacks while only giving testing swipes himself. She also didn't seem to be on his level of aggression, and that bothered him as well! He was her enemy, her sworn enemy, and she was playing him. If he came from this wounded he wanted scars to remember. HP: 9/10 Safaia Thanks for adding in the fighting mechanics! Helps me from having another window open. :3

	Frustration mounted as she realized her fear was stupid...and the way that he moved somehow irritated her as well. No, she had to focus, and throw her whole self into this fight. Or she would probably die. Having heard too many stories of death happening, she didn't want to become another casualty, most likely ignored by the Burk for never making it out of her life debt. She lunged for his shoulder, intent on tearing it as much as possible. His neck was too covered by that mane of his, but a shoulder injury may slow him down. HP: 10/10 Painted Moose <33!

	An irritated growl deepened in his throat. This fight was dragging on longer than he intended, and he wasn't nearly fast enough to avoid her strike. With an angered roar that belied the pain now spreading in his shoulder, he became aware of the claws that cut through his flesh. Olu held his ground. He stood firm and furious, even though his pale coat was now tarnished with further scars. Still, he couldn't help, but to grin. At least she was finally coming at him! Giving him the challenge that he craved! HP: 9/10 Safaia

	She was mildly alarmed that he seemed to enjoy this...but when the blood had begun to spill the lioness discovered that she was enjoying this just as much! This was a fight! Nothing like the training spars she had done back safely in Burk lands. This got her blood pumping, hot like fire. Emboldened by her successful strike, she aimed again, this time aiming to strike at his face. Drain his strength and she would certainly win. HP: 10/10 Painted Moose

	Olu rushed the female. His steps were careful of his injured shoulder, but measured enough so that he could hit with as much force as possible. She was too fast! Every time it seemed as if he reached out to hit, she would be there first. This time came with a facial hit, one that caused the muscles in his face to contort. It stung, but it was his pride that hurt most of all. Dodging to the side, he moved to circle her, trying his best to get within lashing distance of her flank before moving in. He wouldn't make the same mistakes a third time! HP: 7/10 Safaia Olu can talk the talk, but he can't walk the walk!

	Speed was with her, for now. As long as she could hold out, perhaps she could score herself a victory. She felt like she was starting to wear him down...but she sensed that it may only be fueling his own fires for battle, and she had to keep herself on guard. She drew back for a moment, taking a deep breath, and waiting to see if he would initiate an attack, She would do her best to give him a retaliatory strick in return. HP: 10/10 Painted Moose Aaah this is fun and tense. @_@!

	Olu's gums pulled away from his teeth in a snarl. He was wearing down at a quicker pace than she. Maybe that had been her strategy all along; he'd come in full force, where as she had been more reserved. Too late did he realize that he had been potentially played, but not to late that he couldn't try to turn this fight around! He kept his distance. Olu decided on a solid defense instead of an offense since it had been that very line of reasoning that had landing him with a burning shoulder and a bruised face. If he couldn't catch her, then he just had to trap her instead. HP: 5/10 Safaia I know! ;o; This is so much fun!

	Her opponent's stance changed. Alarm bells rang in Ooljee's head, but she did not know how to approach this change. It almost frightened her, because she could nearly feel how much anger he had towards her for being a Burkuteshti. "Tch," she grumbled, not seeing a clear break in his defense. Even if he was tiring out, his mind wasn't. She decided to attempt a short feint, hoping that he would open enough so she should get another blow on his side. HP: 10/10 Painted Moose

	Olu's focus was undeterred. When fate had brought her to the other side, she clearly had been cursed. He nipped at the air in an effort to fake her out, grinning a little more to see her attempting much the same. It was then that he decided to move with with a strike aimed for her flank. Hopefully it would stop her from moving around so damn fast! HP: 4/10 Safaia Finally, a hit!

	The fire in her blood felt like it had finally burst. She felt the fur on her side grow hot and sticky as she pulled away. Well, she deserved that one, going in without much of a plan. It also made her refocus on the task at hand. She knew that she wouldn't be able to move as quickly as before, but she still felt like she'd have the upper hand. His solid defense seemed more open, and so she struck again, this time aiming for his flank. HP: 8/10 Painted Moose

	The sight of first blood just pushed him onward. Olu only backed away for a moment to avoid a strike at his own flank. She didn't seem as fast as before, but he always knew it was only a c***k in her guard. He'd have to act fast before she brought it back up. Without a mane to protect her, her neck was a valuable target, and one his claws now lay aimed for. When he felt stable to make the lunge he did so with gusto. HP: 4/10 Safaia

	!!!!! Okay, panic. Ooljee felt that hit, and with a wound in her neck and on her flank, she was definitely beginning to feel the slight dizziness that accompanied blood loss. She could not lose. She had to win, they had to protect this silly outpost from the Qyrhyeshti, and to make sure that all her comrades made it home. She had to win! Feeling her legs wobble for a moment, she growled at herself, straightening herself out. She could recover later once all of them were chased from these lands. She had to focus, and attack again (and not get attacked herself!). She pushed herself to move faster, ignoring the sticky, itchy feeling of sand drying with her blood. She aimed again for the shoulder she had attacked earlier, hoping to damage it even further. HP: 6/10 Painted Moose
