I had pikmin 3 in my amazon shopping cart when I read this.

I would get Pikmin 3 too but money is tight. Spending it all on visiting my boyfran instead. So we'll see. One of their best deals, though! And Mario Kart 8 looks amazing! Aside from the questionable choice of characters.

Toys 'R' Us is offering 40% off of any wiiU game of equal or lesser value (So any wiiU game that isn't NFC related) for people who preorder Mario Kart 8. So that is a chance to get a game for free and big savings on an additional game. No clue if this also applies to preorders of the system bundle, or what countries are offering this deal. I can only confirm it for stores in the US.

This is separate from the Club Nintendo deal for people who register the game, therefor it is possible to get 3 games for under 100 dollars. Me, personally, I think I'm just going to go for the BOGO deal.

Personally, MK7 was my most successful Mario Kart experience, and I thought the 3DS worked perfectly for it, so I'm a little worried that the gamepad will feel too wide or just weird and I'll suck.

It's the same control scheme, button for button (Oh, but I think I neglected to check the control pad for a first person mode.) the driving feels a little different, and there's a traction stat now, separate from handling.

Monster tires are no longer fast either, as I recall.
