Kithara padded across the forest grounds with a flick of her tail and grimace. The days had been growing harder as she remembered, briefly, her love for one fox. It was a silly thought, she had to remind herself, and she shoved it violently back. She was an Elder, she needed to stop fretting over herself and instead choose the foxes of her tribe to worry over. However, it was hard to worry over a tribe when the foxes seemed to be fairing just fine. For once, everything was perfect. Everyone was happy, if with a little tension. Even Tenma was feeling better with the reunion with Paige.
So, perhaps she had time to wallow for just an hour. That's all. She could.... let herself go for that long, right? It was allowed and permitted?
She didn't know where things went wrong. But they had. And now she was without the one person she had assumed would always be with her. Assumed. Maybe that was what went wrong. Assuming. Or perhaps her brother and her were cursed with love flying back and forth? That thought ripped a bitter laugh from her lips, eyes clenching shut as she turned her head. Cursed. Yet, Tenma now had Paige again and life was sound for him.
She at least was happy how things ended. Kithara was a master at keeping things civil. There were no harsh feelings directed at her ex, none whatsoever. Just an understanding that they could not be. It stung. She didn't like that phrase. But it was a phrase that fit well with the situation. It was the honest truth. It could not be, and now Kithara was here, resting on a rock and contemplating what went wrong.
She needed to stop before she drove herself mad.

Movement.
Red ears tipped with white and spotted with black twitched, eyes flicking to glance towards the woods around her single rock. She wasn't scared, nor did she take a hostile stance, instead simply waiting for whatever it was to emerge. Her large tail flicked around her strange form, wondering if it was a fox. The Elder flipped long hair from her eyes, red eyes narrowing as she tried to peer into the woods, failing and instead relying on waiting for the creature to pad out.
The smell of blood briefly reached her nose, tail twitching as a pang of hunger finally flickered into her stomach. She hadn't been eating much, too busy relying on her tribe and mind to give her solace. Food had become an option, and now it was reminding her of it. She wasn't in the mood to hunt, perhaps she'd grab something from the tribe kill when she returned.

When the other moved closer Kithara flicked her tail to the side, in case it would be in the way. She caught that look the other possessed, calculating and thoughtful. This woman was most likely clever, a fox one would not wish to cross on a bad day. Again, the fox began to glance around, causing Kithara curiously to peer around as well. Did the woman expect a friend? Or maybe bad company? The Elder viewed the woman until she stated she had ate, nodding. Good.
"Kithara." She answered, flicking hair from her eyes as the peaceful Elder shifted her paws, again, and viewed the woman curiously. "What may I call you?" Something was strange about this fox, that much the Elder knew. Something in the back of her brain was warning her to be careful, and Kithara was. She could leap away if she needed to, safely. However, the woman had done nothing to harm her and did not threaten her, Kithara would show no signs of fear. She was not one to judge until another had committed an action, and even then her way of judging was rather.... peaceful.

Her eyes watched the other, Kharai, and smiled in response. A nice name. The woman was blunt, it seemed, which worked for the moment for Kithara, who could be a poetic fox when she wished to be, was in no mood for games or poetry. She was content with responding just as blunt as the other and almost relieved that another did not expect her to be the wise Elder she needed to be for her tribe at the moment. It was a break, sweet and needed.
"Business." The Elder glanced towards the secret vampire, tail twitching and eyes glancing towards the side. "There is a white fox who I have been attending to lately. She has little will to take care of herself, it is my duty to attend to the sick needs." Ah, the nameless woman. The white vixen who refused to speak. Who was skin and bones, hiding from her world and hiding from anything outside of the cave. Kithara had stumbled upon her by chance and since had taken to trying to get her back on her feet. However, the woman wasn't recovering, and Kithara was wondering if perhaps the wound was mental, harder to mend and sew back together.
