 Hop was just settling into her cave for the night when a brightly colored doe walks in. She lay there a few minutes, not saying a word. This doe is an Acha, the first of her kind Hop has seen. Though she'd heard of them.
Hop sits up and nods at the Acha. "Hello. I'm Jumping Frog. If my pets don't bother you feel free to weather out the storm." Hop nods to the back corner. A turtle, caiman and water snake are huddled there, too lethargic from the cold to bother trying to eat each other. Or the frog perched on the turtle's shell. Too cold, or too well trained, given the weather its impossible to tell.

 Above looked up as the doe talked to her. She wasn't expecting to find another doe so close. "Hello!" The mention of pets had her looking for her two, but then she remembered, they found a place to huddle together. "I'm Above Heartache. Your pets don't bother me, they just make me miss mine now." She peered a bit closer, sort of amazed that they were getting a long. "Thank you for letting me stay. I was just told I am to have babies."

"Really, congratulations. Who told you?" Hop looks closer at the doe, she's never seen an Acha though so it's not like she can tell if Above is showing yet. She doesn't look like it, but for all Hop knows the Acha are typically skinnier then this doe. "Can you tell by appearance already?" Hop paws the ground, the only sign she'd rather be up and examining Above. "Is this your first clutch?" Hop blurts out, then blushes. "Sorry, I've yet to have any children of my own. I'm told I'm overly curious about ... well a great many things."

Above moved further into the cave. "Thank you. Actually a foxbun told me! It was the most curious thing to happen to me." Looking closer at Hop, the Acha grinned. "It had some of the same coloring as you. And yes this is my first clutch. A little nervous, with this weather and all." She was surprised to find a doe that she could talk with so easily. Above figured she was enjoyable company, but hadn't been having the warmest welcomes, until now.

Hop grins and gives a surprised giggle. "Ahh I see you've met my father. He's become a bit enamored of his foxbun form since the MotherFather chose him." She taps the ground next to her. "C'mon, we can cuddle up for warmth. I can't guarantee their safety but I'll offer what help I can for them. Stay as long as you want." Hop lay back down and smiles up at Above. "Tomorrow I'll see if I can gather warm nesting materials. Acha lay eggs, right?" Hop was hoping what she'd heard was right and that she wasn't about to make a fool of herself.

Above smiled at the doe. "That was your father? I heard that some of you can change, but.." Her words trailed off. It was a bit much for her at the moment. Moving closer to Hop, she lowered herself down. "We don't really show so much, though with the cold, I might be showing more than others. Any help with bring forth the babies will be appreciated." It was good to have someone else to talk to, even to one not of her own kind.
